NO RESERVE!
1983 JEEP CJ7 RENEGADE
The 80s for most of us are time we wish we could forget with too much hair spray and bright neon colored clothes. However one good thing did come from that wretched time period and that is the classic JEEP CJ7. This jeep is completely ready to drive wherever your adventures soul wants to take you (on or off road). Have the top down with the doors off and enjoy the warm sunny days. For the cold weather there is a newer soft top from BEST TOP which also include soft top doors in very good condition. This fun toy has had a complete engine rebuild 50,000 miles ago and has had a complete transmission rebuild 30,000 ago. All new gearing gives this jeep the ability to ride on any trail. Also a electric fan with toggle switch is a great feature for any jeep. Brand new 33X12.50 tires give this jeep a sweet look. Newer suspension lift (3inch) gives this jeep the look and clearance needed. Avalanche Rocker panel protectors give this jeep the protection needed for off roading and also gives a good step up bar. Heavy duty tire swing included in back of jeep, with space for shovel, jack and jerry gas cans. swing the tire carrier and open up the jeeps tail gate for extra storage. Custom heavy duty back bumper with towing package for any trailer or add on hitch. The paint job was added on 2/25/13. All brand new power steering system, which allows this to turn like a luxury car. Also a brand new gear box was replaced.
(jeep will come with soft top,rag top, clear title, binder full of receipts and warranties, one set of keys and also a signed bill of sale).
CLEAR TITLE
I bought this jeep from a gentlemen in the army he drove the jeep from Denver to san angelo TX which is a solid 12 hour drive.

PLEASE KNOW THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION AND WILL BE SOLD!!! IF YOU WANT TO BUY IT NOW THE PRICE IS 7500 (the benefit would be that you could return it if not what you thought).

This is 1983 cj7 is sold as is, with no returns, I have tried to the best of my abilities to tell you every detail of the jeep through words and also through pictures. I highly recommend looking at the jeep in person before buying and before bidding. The highest bidder gets the jeep. There is a $300 NON REFUNDABLE deposit due within 24 hours of auction.

If your bidding please know that you are legally responsible to pay for the jeep at that price.

I will be more than happy to help with shipping I have shipped many vehicles and it is usually cheaper than towing it yourself.  I WILL SELL TO OTHER COUNTRIES

With all classic vehicles I do not recommend driving home unless you live in the general area. Most of my vehicles have lifts and are older and the highway is not the right place to learn how to drive a lifted vehicle.

This jeep is not a "show Jeep"  there are many scratches in the paint and also the jeep does have a dent in the rear side. the jeep runs great, mechanically everything is completely sound. The interior is as stock as it gets no special interior pieces, other than the brand new seat covers. driver seat is in good condition but other seat needs attention.

Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions!  817-925-1117

Jeep Cherokee sales rival Wrangler after two months

Sun, 29 Dec 2013

In our First Drive article on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee we said, "our informal and thoroughly unscientific opinion is they're going to sell tons of them. Why? Because it is very good." So far, it appears the public concurs. Of course, it's very early - the new compact utility has logged just one month of confirmed sales, but Larry Vellequette at Automotive News says dealers have told him that the second month of sales will be even better, a message that mirrors what we've heard from company execs.
In its first, severely truncated month on sale, the Cherokee sold 579 units. With all of November to play with, though, dealers moved 10,169 of them - compared to 11,753 Wranglers and 14,798 Grand Cherokees. That helped propel Jeep to a 30-percent year-on-year improvement for the month, Chrysler Group to a 16-percent improvement and the group's 44th consecutive month of sales growth, exceeding analyst expectations in posting its best November numbers since 2007.
If it can just keep replicating the its first month of sales, the finalist in North American Truck of the Year voting will smoke the trade done by the outgoing Liberty, which didn't break 7,900 units in a month in the last four years of its life (and normally didn't get close to even that). In March this year, Chrysler said it wants to build 250,000 Cherokees in its Toledo assembly plant for global sales. It's early yet, but with second-month sales quoted as being as "strong as death," the bookies might be resetting the odds.

Daily Driver: 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X Edition

Thu, Apr 9 2015

Daily Driver videos are micro-reviews of vehicles in the Autoblog press fleet, reviewed by the staffers that drive them every day. Today's Daily Driver features the 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X Edition, reviewed by Adam Morath. You can watch the video above or read a transcript below. Watch more Autoblog videos at /videos. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT Hi, I'm Adam Morath for Autoblog. Now, undoubtedly, one of the coolest things about this job is that you're in and out of so many different vehicles, but, I'll be honest, there are times where, if you're in very similar vehicles, they can start to run together a little bit. That's why I love getting into a car like this that just snaps you right out of it because it's so unique and so different from anything else on the market. Of course I'm talking about the Jeep Wrangler. I'm in a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. This is the X Edition, which stands for X Games. Jeep is a big title sponsor of the 2015 Aspen X Games and you can see that all over this vehicle. You have white, glossy accent plastic in the interior; mountain graphics throughout the interior and exterior of the vehicle – a nod, obviously, to the winter sports and skiing that you would do out in Aspen. And then in keeping with that mountainous theme, you have an Alpine nine-stereo speaker system. I'll be honest, though, that some of it feels a little overdone to me. For instance, there's a power-bulge in the hood. Credit to Jeep: the vents are actually functional, but this is not the trim I would go for, just personally. It's one of those vehicles that people are always wondering, "I really like the look of it [and] I like the capability, but could I live with a Wrangler?" It's the same sort of question you'll get from people who are looking at a sports car, "could I actually live with this is my daily driver?" And I have to say, Jeep has come a long way – Wrangler, in particular, has come a long way – in terms of driving comfort. Of course, don't expect "Lexus quiet." You can probably hear it's a big noisy in the cabin. It's a bit of a bumpy ride. There are things about this vehicle that I could see being annoying in your day-to-day life. For instance, the door: it's essentially an external hinge on the door, but it doesn't stay open for you. So, if you're on any sort of a tilt, the door will come back in and you have to just prop it open with your leg. Little things like that.

The fascinating history of the Popemobile

Tue, Sep 22 2015

Pope Francis will be arriving today in the US for a variety of stops, including the World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia, PA. While here, the Pontiff won't be riding in the usual Mercedes-Benz Popemobile, but instead will make a more American switch to a modified Jeep Wrangler, according to the Washington Post. It'll feature a protected front, top, and rear, but the sides will be open for His Holiness to see the throngs of people gathering for him. For hundreds of years, Popes were transported in horse-drawn carriages or sometimes carried in an enclosed chair by footmen, but His Holiness finally traded for some real horsepower in 1929. While his ride sometimes varied depending on the country being visited, a Mercedes-Benz was generally the common choice. However, the Pontiffs have ridden in everything from a modified GMC Sierra to a Ferrari Mondial over the past few decades. Pope Francis has definitely preferred more plebeian transportation, though, including a Renault 4 running on biofuel. A trip to South Korea even put him in a Kia Soul, and he opted for an Isuzu D-Max in the Philippines. The Post's whole list is quite a fun read, and it's fascinating to see how the Popemobiles evolve over time. Related Video:
