History: This Jeep is the last of the true legacy of the “Real” Jeep (the original CJ series) built in the world. These vehicles are becoming more and more harder to find thus making it appreciate and more valuable by each passing year. This vehicle is better in every which way than any new Jeep that is sold on the market today. The solid true steel (not plastic) construction and engineering that underwent into these Jeeps consists of durability, toughness and easy maintenance that truly outdid itself. This holds true on all CJ model years produced. The scrambler is considered most rare since it was limited in production and was only made between years 1981 and 1985.

Purpose for selling: Do not have the space and need to sell it. I truly love this Jeep and it breaks my heart after all the time, effort and money invested in it to let it go. This is a fantastic deal if not a steal for those who understand and appreciate what has gone into this Jeep.

ALL IN ALL: There still remains many other details that I am probably forgetting to mention that has gone into this Jeep. I will gladly entertain and go over anything further with any buyer who is serious and would like to purchase the Jeep with me in person. I will stand behind this vehicle during ANY inspection and will personally guarantee this Jeep to hold true to the above facts by any ASE certified mechanic or vehicle appraiser of your choice as I have nothing to hide and everything to show!

Last Note: As a consideration, please let’s not waste each other’s precious time, therefore I ask that only serious e-bayers bid only. This means people with any negative history cannot participate in this auction. Please familiarize yourself with the terms and conditions of this sale before committing yourself. I believe that I have exhausted myself to try and educate you on as much as possible regarding this Jeep and ask request you respect the terms. Once you buy it, sale is simply AS-IS. This means that you cannot ask for a bid retraction or your money back once you have committed yourself by clicking on the “Place Bid” button since you are taking the opportunity away from another genuine buyer and will upset my auction. I will be most happy to anticipate any questions.

I require an immediate $500 deposit via pay-pal from the highest bidder at the end of the auction. I have also offered the Jeep for sale locally and reserve to right to cancel this auction at any time as I please should anyone wish to come with cash in hand and buy it. Happy bidding and good luck!

Woodward Dream Cruise Photo Gallery | Classics and American muscle

Sun, Aug 21 2022

The 2022 running of the Woodward Dream Cruise just went down, and we were there from morning to evening drinking in the sweet sights and pre-emissions exhaust fumes. Yes, it’s a little smelly on Woodward Ave. this time of year. Just like always, the Dream Cruise invites all comers to cruise their machines on Woodward from Ferndale, MI to Pontiac, MI. Everybody is invited, but the original intent of the Dream Cruise was to highlight classic American muscle cars. YouÂ’ll see plenty of those in our mega gallery above, but weÂ’ve sprinkled it with a bunch of other vehicle types, such as modern muscle and other intriguing American vehicles. Similar to years past, though, sometimes the classics arenÂ’t the most entertaining thing to look at on Woodward. ThatÂ’s why weÂ’ll have other mega galleries coming soon, highlighting the weird cars and (great) dogs of the Cruise, all the imports and exotics you can imagine and a special one for all the trucks of Woodward — perhaps even more so than in years past, the truck population on Dream Cruise day was quite high. Click through above to see all the classics you wouldÂ’ve seen had you been roadside on the day of the cruise. And if you missed this yearÂ’s event, make sure you check out what happens next year. You wonÂ’t be alone, as itÂ’s estimated that over 1 million people attend the Dream Cruise to either watch from the side of the road or to sit in the most glorious traffic jam in the world. Chrysler accelerates Jeep recall repairs from 2018 to March

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

You may remember that Jeep's unusual fix for this recall involves fitting a trailer hitch.
The recall of about 1.5 million models of the 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty and 1993-1998 Grand Cherokee over fuel tanks may finish far sooner than originally estimated. In a new filing from Jeep's parent, Chrysler Group, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the company says that it can complete the repairs for the affected vehicles by March 2015, much sooner than the previous estimate of sometime in 2018. Jeep predicts the total cost of the campaign will be around $151 million.

What would you drive in 1985?

Wed, May 6 2020

Bereft of live baseball games to watch, I've turned to the good ship YouTube to watch classic games. While watching the 1985 American League Championship Series last night, several of the broadcast's commercials made its way into the original VHS recording, including those for cars. "Only 8.8% financing on a 1985 Ford Tempo!" What a deal! That got me thinking: what would I drive in 1985?  It sure wouldn't be a Tempo. Or an IROC-Z, for that matter, despite what my Photoshopped 1980s self would indicate in the picture above. I posed this question to my fellow Autobloggists. Only one could actually drive back then, I was only 2 and a few editors weren't even close to being born. Here are our choices, which were simply made with the edict of "Come on, man, be realistic."  West Coast Editor James Riswick: OK, I started this, I'll go first. I like coupes today, so I'm pretty sure I'd drive one back then. I definitely don't see myself driving some badge-engineered GM thing from 1985, and although a Honda Prelude has a certain appeal, I must admit that something European would likely be in order. A BMW maybe? No, I'm too much a contrarian for that. The answer is therefore a 1985 Saab 900 Turbo 3-Door, which is not only a coupe but a hatchback, too. If I could scrounge up enough Reagan-era bucks for the ultra-cool SPG model, that would be rad. The 900 Turbo pictured, which was for auction on Bring a Trailer a few years ago, came with plum-colored Bokhara Red, and you're damn sure I would've had me one of those. Nevermind 1985, I'd probably drive this thing today.   Associate Editor Byron Hurd: I'm going to go with the 1985.5 Ford Mustang SVO, AKA the turbocharged Fox Body that everybody remembers but nobody drives. The mid-year update to the SVO bumped the power up from 175 ponies (yeah, yeah) to 205, making it almost as powerful (on paper, anyway) as the V8-powered GT models offered in the same time frame. I chose this particular car because it's a bit of a time capsule and, simultaneously, a reminder that all things are cyclical. Here we are, 35 years later, and 2.3-liter turbocharged Mustangs are a thing again. Who would have guessed?
