1981 Jeep cj7 that i have owned close to 6 years. It is the renegade edition.  has the Inline 6 with a T5 tranny and dana 300 tcase. It does run very well and shifts just fine. the 4wd works fine also. mechanically in really good shape. has never left me stranded anywhere. the factory color was the tan color. the decals on it now are not correct

4 inch suspension lift. set of 5 wrangler mtr 35 inch tires with about 70% tread i'd guess. one tire is brand new. 4 black fake bead locks and one chrome wheel thats a spare

put widetrac axles in it. amc 20 rear and dana 30 front.  4.56 gears with detroit full time locker in rear and if I remember right a truetrac in front. suppose to be 70/30 power to wheels when in 4wd

lights work just fine. has removable cargo carrier. NOT meant to be a external roll cage but it is very strong. 4x130 watt lights that are brand new. aluminum floor in cargo area and also comes with hi lift jack

rear swing out tire carrier/bumper that is way overbuilt with jerry can holders and jerry cans.

front bumper is huge. it has a mile marker hydraulic 10500 lb winch that works perfect.

steering box brace

all guages work in it. speedometer is off due to bigger tires and gears

interior has been lined with rhino liner that has wore off on drivers side floor

front seats are around a year old. bestop brand

rear seat is in good condition. it's a fold and tumble

interior floors are in pretty good shape with no rust.

hardtop is in good shape, needs a little touch up paint

I have kept the frame cleaned out so it is in very good shape with no holes or rust

newer gas tank

The not so good

no radio. speakers are there

motor does smoke a little but it runs very strong

blower motor for heater only works on high. it is the upgraded fan motor that came out of a chevy blazer

the body is getting rust on seam above rear wheels and some body mounts are deteriorating.

hood is a little dinged up where it rests against windshield frame when propped up.

have been covering paint chips with black paint and any suspicious spots on body to stop any rust from starting

doors have new seals on them but are by no means perfect. i have the black door panels for it just not installed

there is bondo in rear quarters that is a little thick from a previous owner. i have never wrecked or rolled it.

windshield is cracked in upper corner of passenger side.

tailgate has been bent in. still closes just fine but doesn't make a good seal against hard top

odometer says 31,252 which i'm assuming it is 131252

this has been a good jeep to me just downsizing the collection. may not be the prettiest but will go through anything

doesn't look like much but i got a boat load of money in this jeep

selling as is with no warranty. will not ship. have right to end auction early because it is for sale locally

Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver is a more rugged Trailhawk

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

We briefly mentioned the Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver that was heading to SEMA last week when discussing the Mopar lineup set to be shown in Las Vegas. At the time, though, we weren't able to dive too deeply into details. But with SEMA in full swing, we were able to sneak over and grab some snaps of one of the first modified Cherokees we've seen. The Cherokee is, after all, kind of an unknown quantity in the modification department, being so new and featuring such a polarizing design. We were quite interested to see what Mopar could come up with.
Starting with the Trailhawk 4x4 and its 3.2-liter V6, the engine is fitted with a Mopar cold-air intake and a new exhaust, although it's not clear what sort of power boost has resulted. We'll admit, we were hoping Jeep and Mopar would get a bit more aggressive with the Cherokee's suspension (has anyone thrown a few-inch lift on the new Jeep yet?), but there's no mention of upgrades beyond the knobby, off-road tires. Those should do some good when the going gets rough, while rock rails are there to protect the Auburn Pearl paint on the body.
Speaking of that paint, it's complemented by an interesting graphics package in contrasting black and Crush Orange. The cabin sports Katzkin Amaretto leather seats, along with tech-friendly items like a wireless charging system for cellphones and wireless internet.

Woodward Dream Cruise Photo Gallery | Classics and American muscle

Sun, Aug 21 2022

The 2022 running of the Woodward Dream Cruise just went down, and we were there from morning to evening drinking in the sweet sights and pre-emissions exhaust fumes. Yes, it’s a little smelly on Woodward Ave. this time of year. Just like always, the Dream Cruise invites all comers to cruise their machines on Woodward from Ferndale, MI to Pontiac, MI. Everybody is invited, but the original intent of the Dream Cruise was to highlight classic American muscle cars. YouÂ’ll see plenty of those in our mega gallery above, but weÂ’ve sprinkled it with a bunch of other vehicle types, such as modern muscle and other intriguing American vehicles. Similar to years past, though, sometimes the classics arenÂ’t the most entertaining thing to look at on Woodward. ThatÂ’s why weÂ’ll have other mega galleries coming soon, highlighting the weird cars and (great) dogs of the Cruise, all the imports and exotics you can imagine and a special one for all the trucks of Woodward — perhaps even more so than in years past, the truck population on Dream Cruise day was quite high. Click through above to see all the classics you wouldÂ’ve seen had you been roadside on the day of the cruise. And if you missed this yearÂ’s event, make sure you check out what happens next year. You wonÂ’t be alone, as itÂ’s estimated that over 1 million people attend the Dream Cruise to either watch from the side of the road or to sit in the most glorious traffic jam in the world. Certain Chrysler owners eligible for buyback program

Mon, Jul 27 2015

Certain car owners whose Chrysler vehicles contain dangerous defects will soon have a way to get rid of their lemons without losing money. As part of an agreement with federal regulators, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has agreed to buy back more than 500,000 vehicles susceptible to veering out of control without warning at above market-value prices. The deal mainly covers certain models of RAM trucks, the Dodge Dakota pickup and Dodge Durango SUV. Further, owners of more than 1.5 million Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokees at heightened risk for lethal fires are eligible to trade in their vehicles at above market value or, alternately, get a gift certificate if they prefer to have repairs made. Chrysler has "a heavy responsibility to make sure the products they make are safe for the traveling public," said Mark Rosekind, administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. "... Here, we are sending an unambiguous signal to industry that if you skirt the laws or violate the law, or don't live up to the responsibility that consumers expect, we are going to penalize you." The buy-back and trade-in options for motorists come as part of an unprecedented penalty NHTSA slapped against Chrysler for violating federal motor-vehicle safety laws. Chrysler will pay a $105 million fine, the highest ever levied by the regulatory agency. In addition to the buy-backs, Chrysler also agreed to an independent monitor for three years. Investigators had outlined problems in the company's conduct in 23 recalls that affected more than 11 million defect vehicles. As part of a consent-order agreement, Chrysler acknowledged it did not notify vehicle owners of recalls in an effective manner and did not notify NHTSA of safety problems. Though those recalls affected millions of drivers, the buy-back and trade-in options are only for a small portion of the vehicles involved. Because Chrysler struggled to fix the problem and no repair was apparent, Rosekind said the buy-backs are reserved "for customers who didn't have a remedy." Buy-backs are for trucks and SUVs affected by three recalls that occurred in 2013 (recalls 13V-038, 13V-527 and 13V-529), that addressed a rear-axle pinion nut that could come loose and cause a loss of vehicle control. Those recalls covered 579,228 vehicles, including 2009-2012 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500 and 5500 trucks, 2009-2012 Dodge Dakotas, 2009 Chrysler Aspen and the 2009 Dodge Durango.
