Here is a nice cj7 has a 360 AMC v8 4 spd with granny low and a Dana 300. Motor has been built in the past but I do not know the specs. It has an edelbrock intake, edelbrock carb, billet dist, MSD ing.has headers and dual exh.runs super strong. Frame is literally like new, has 6 inch lift with front reversed shackles 33 inch rubber in very nice shape . Comes with a spare but does not match. Floors where repaired . Tub has been fixed over the years but still presentable. New fiberglass windshield frame, glass has a small crack. Bestop front seats no rear seats. Jeep has a roll cage. Comes with new bikini top, soft lower doors and I have a set off full hard doors that have been trimmed to fit the roll cage. This jeep is a build from an 81 and an 86 Cj, not sure what year the 360 is. Runs nices drives like a Cj, not a jk, steering box seems to have some play, and she can use new shocks. With a little more love she is ready. Jeep is located in Warwick RI 02889 and buyer is to arrange transport. As far as driving her any distance I would rather see you put it on a trailer, I have not had it on the highway. Was going to finish it up but am going with a Willys wagon project that I just came across . Please ask any questions or Call me at 4014800377 prior to your bids if you have any. A 500.00 dep thru pay pal within 24 hrs is due, also cash or money wire transfer for balance is what I prefer. I will not take pay pal for the sale amount sorry. Thank you for looking and happy bidding this ia a no reserve listing!

2016 Jeep Wrangler to ditch solid axles to save weight?

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

Hey, Jeep fans. If you think the idea of a funky-looking, car-based Cherokee revival is offensive, have a listen to what might be in store for the next-gen Jeep Wrangler. Automotive News is reporting that as Jeep develops the 2016 Wrangler, weight reduction is a crucial target, and the Wrangler's rugged solid axles could be sacrificed in the name of better fuel economy.
We've already heard the next Wrangler will go on a serious diet using aluminum body panels and an air suspension system, so the idea of a four-wheel independent suspension setup for this OG SUV isn't all that surprising. Besides, it's not like an independent suspension would limit the Wrangler's off-road abilities - just check out the Hummer H1. In fact, it might be the aftermarket parts companies - not Wrangler enthusiasts - who would be most disappointed by such a drastic suspension change, as the article states that the Wrangler's solid axles and coil-link suspension make it the most popular SUV for customization.
There are probably still a couple years before we'll start hearing any concrete details about the 2016 Wrangler, at which time it will be interesting to see how stricter fuel economy and crash safety regulations have been balanced with traditional Wrangler cues like its removable doors and roof and folding windshield. Let us know in the comments below if a Wrangler sans solid axles is any less of a Wrangler.

2014 Jeep Cherokee gets official in a hurry

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

Automakers work very, very hard to keep their new vehicles under wraps until they can present them in exactly the way they want it - typically choreographed under the bright lights of an auto show, or perhaps with photos or video in an idyllic location. Spy shooters and leaks, in other words, keep executives and public-relations types up at night.
This is likely to be one of the most polarizing designs to come out in 2014.
Take today, for instance, when the team over at Jalopnik got a big scoop - the first undisguised shots of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, a model whose name wasn't even officially confirmed yet. The clandestine images taken inside of a factory were blurry and didn't exactly show off the crossover's radical new contours in the same sort of flattering light that Jeep probably would've wished for its product reveal. So the Auburn Hills automaker has wisely reacted by spilling at least some of the beans on the new model, giving us these four photos and confirming the Liberty replacement's name, Cherokee.

Fiat 500X poised for Paris catwalk

Wed, 05 Feb 2014

We've known for some time that the new, Fiat-based baby Jeep (which may or may not be called the Jeepster) is set to arrive at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. What we weren't sure of was whether its platform mate, the so-called Fiat 500X, would be doing so alongside or at a later date. Well, according to Reuters, we'll get to see the first all-wheel-drive 500 later this year in the City of Lights.
Yes, we can expect the 500X to arrive at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, according to an official with an Italian trade union. The unnamed source cited retooling at Fiat's Melfi factory, in southern Italy, which currently produces the Grande Punto. It's expected that the newest member of the growing 500 family will replace the Suzuki SX4-based Fiat Sedici, although when the X will go on sale remains an open question.
According to Reuters, both the Jeepster and 500X will be built alongside each other in Italy. Whether the 500X will cross the pond with it's slat-grilled cousin, though, remains to be seen (we're leaning towards yes).
