1975 Jeep Cj5 Base Sport Utility 2-door 5.0l on 2040-cars
Wichita, Kansas, United States
1975 Jeep CJ 5 Levis Edition This Jeep is in good condition everything works. It had an off frame restoration about three years ago. There are a couple spots where the rust is starting to pop up on the front fender. This Jeep has been Rhino Lined on the inside and the underside. New upholstery, new fuel tank, stainless steel fuel lines, new carb, new distributor, new brakes, wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, stainless steel brake lines and stainless steel fasteners were installed when the restoration was done. Also has a leather head liner and lockable stereo box. The after market hard top is called a TankTop and as you can see in the picture it has suicide doors. Now you can run with the doors open and still have the door to lock it up while at the store. You can also remove the top. It has the original 304 V-8 that came out in it from the factory. I have been told the 49535 miles that show on the odometer are original miles. If this looks like a fun vehicle you guys would like to have. If you would like more pictures or info let me know. It might surprise you but you should look this up on NADA Classic cars. 1975 Jeep CJ5 with the 304 V-8 this could be your diamond in the ruff. If you would like more Pictures please contact me. 2015 Jeep Cherokee finds a bit more fuel mileage thanks to stop/start and aero tweaks
Mon, 06 Oct 2014Just a year after it burst onto the scene, Jeep has already made a pretty substantial addition to its V6-powered Cherokee, which has proven to be an extremely popular seller so far for the brand, adding a new stop-start system for the midsize, off-road-ready CUV.
The addition of stop-start included a few aerodynamic tweaks to the Cherokee's polarizing body, resulting in a wallet-pleasing increase in fuel economy. According to the EPA, the front-drive, V6-powered Jeep will now return 21 miles per gallon in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, up from 19 city and 28 highway. Four-wheel-drive, V6-powered Cherokees, meanwhile, will now return 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, up from 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg.
With 271 horsepower, 239 pound-feet of torque and these newly enhanced figures, it's refreshing to see a larger, naturally aspirated engine that is still able to take the fight to today's crop of small-displacement, turbocharged four-cylinders.
Four Wheeler crowns Ultimate Factory 4x4... who wins?
Thu, 15 Nov 2012Nearly every automaker doing business in the SUV or pickup truck segments offers a package designed to improve the off-road capabilities of its wares. But, of course, not all such factory kits are created equal. How, then, to separate the wheat from the chaff? Gather each of them up and put them through their paces, naturally.
The folks from Four Wheeler and PickupTrucks.com joined forces to run just such a comparison test, with the winner named the Ultimate Factory 4x4. A total of seven vehicles showed up to the fight: the 2012 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 2012 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X and Xterra PRO-4X, 2012 Ram Power Wagon, and 2012 Toyota 4Runner Trail and Tacoma TRD T|X Baja Series.
With the contestants in place, the whole crew put each vehicle through a battery of tests that included skidpad and acceleration measurements, a hillclimb, a rocky stairstep course and a rock garden. Considering the nature of the beasts, on-road ride and comfort were not part of the routine.
