I purchased this Jeep on eBay approximately three years ago from a gentleman in Phoenix, AZ. It had been garaged ever since. He had restored it to near completion, all I had to add was a horn from AutoZone to drive it legally. I had debated whether or not to go back to original wheels and complete the restoration, but decided that I like the show bar and the larger wheels. I added a bikini/bimini top to block the sun and simply drove this vehicle to Cruising Grand in Escondido for fun. I also thought about taking to desert, but decided that it was too beautiful to thrash.

I have a 15 year old that will have his license soon and have decided to sell my toy to buy him a new Jeep. Standard transmissions and no power steering are for us old guys I guess. I would rather sell and let someone else enjoy it. The winning bidder needs to pay a $500 non-refundable deposit through PayPal within 24 hours of auction close. They need to communicate shipping as well and we'll have no problems. If you wish to pick-up, let me know. Balance is due within 72 hours of auction close if shipping, but if you pick up yourself we can work something out. Shipping/transportation is all on you, the buyer. I will only release to your sipping company when payment in full has been made and I have written communication from you. I have a clean title in hand. Happy bidding and thanks for checking out my Jeep!

Jeep going bigger with new Grand Wagoneer, smaller with sub-Renegade?

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

The headlines are still rolling in for the new Renegade that Jeep unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last week, but already reports are surfacing, citing sources within the company, about what Chrysler's iconic off-road brand will do next.
Speaking with Auto Express (whose reports we tend to take with a grain of salt or two), Jeep chief Mike Manley suggested that two courses of action are currently under consideration at Auburn Hills to develop two very different new models - one smaller and one larger than anything Jeep currently makes.
One plan would be to make an SUV or crossover even smaller than the new Renegade, although it isn't immediately clear what platform it would take. The Renegade (pictured above in Trailhawk spec) will be built in Italy alongside Fiat's upcoming 500X, but uses a heavily modified platform. We figure the smaller model, if approved, could base itself on the new Fiat Panda Cross.

Freak accident during Jeep demonstration turns fatal

Mon, 20 May 2013

A 20-year-old woman was killed in Edmonton, Canada on Satuday, reports CTV News, in a freak accident resulting from a rollover during a Jeep demonstration. As part of a fundraising enthusiast event called "Jeeps Go Topless," the driver of one Jeep Wrangler drove up and onto the top of the tire of another.
CTV reports that the owner of the topmost Jeep then switched the vehicle off, posed for pictures and then dismounted from his vehicle. His movement off of the Jeep apparently caused it to tip over, crushing a woman who was on top of an adjacent vehicle. Edmonton police are currently investigating more fully what caused the parking lot accident to occur. Scroll below to watch the CTV News video report about this tragic incident.

FCA CEO Mike Manley will take undefined new role after PSA merger

Wed, Dec 18 2019

MILAN — Fiat Chrysler Chief Executive Mike Manley will remain with the new group set to result from a planned merger with French rival PSA-Peugeot, Chairman John Elkann said on Wednesday. In a letter to Fiat Chrysler (FCA) employees on the day the two companies announced a binding agreement for a $50 billion tie-up to create the world's fourth-largest carmaker, Elkann said he was "delighted" that the combined group would be led by current PSA CEO Carlos Tavares. "And Mike Manley, who has led FCA with huge energy, commitment and success over the past year, will be there alongside him," he said. He did not say what position Manley would hold. Elkann — who will chair the new group — said there was still much to be done to complete the merger. "Over the coming months we must work tirelessly and determinedly to fulfill all the approval requirements needed to finalize the commitment we have signed," he said.
