This is the first year the CJ 5 was built. The only changes are the wheels and tires. This is the factory color. I did repaint the exterior. Under the hood and behind the grill is factory paint. The drive train is the stock F head four cyl. with the stock 3 speed standard trans. The body is all steel with no rust. The seats and tailgate chain covers are factory original. It has 21,709 miles I believe are true miles from the history I have seen. I have owned this Jeep for over 10 years and driven it every summer. It starts, runs, and drives like the day it was new. It has no doors or top. Canvas doors and tops are available thru several places for a CJ 5. It has never been restored, but for 58 years old is in great shape! The State of NH does not issue a title for any vehicle over 15 years old. I have a current NH regestration and a bill of sale that should suffice in any state. I recommend you check in your state.

Airbag fault on 1M recalled Jeeps getting second look from NHTSA [UPDATE]

UPDATE: Here is the statement we received from Chrysler regarding NHTSA's query: "Chrysler Group LLC advised the National Highway Traffic Administration of the six reports and, in accordance with the Company's long-standing practice, is cooperating fully with the resulting investigation. Customer safety is paramount at Chrysler Group. Customers who are concerned may call 1-800-853-1403."
It appears that Jeep's repairs for nearly one million Grand Cherokees from 2002-2004 and Liberty models from 2002-2003 might not be over yet. The vehicles were first recalled in November 2012 because the front airbags could suddenly deploy without being in an accident. Now, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is opening a recall query into them because of reports of inadvertent activation on some already corrected vehicles.
The original problem affected over 919,000 vehicles worldwide, including 744,822 in the US, and was caused by a degrading circuit in the wires that control the airbags. In some cases the airbag warning light would come on just before the premature activation, but in other cases it would just happen. The automaker installed an "in-line jumper harness with an integrated electrical filter" meant to eliminate the power spikes believed to be the cause.

2015 Jeep Renegade leaks out ahead of Geneva debut

Meet the Renegade - Jeep's new baby crossover that's set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show this week. The folks at Jalopnik got their hands on a small batch of photos of the new little cutie, showing what appears to be a Trailhawk (read: trail-rated) version, as well as a more civilian-spec Renegade, complete with a new removable roof system, reportedly called My Sky.
Details are slim, though in addition to the exterior images, one photo of the interior has also been leaked, showing what appears to be a small, yet functional (and nicely appointed) cabin. Early reports suggested that the new small Jeep would be based on the Fiat 500L platform, though Jalopnik rightly points out that the Renegade looks an awful lot like the Panda 4x4. Regardless, there's still likely some 500L bones under there, and we'll know more once the official details are revealed in the very near future.
