This Jaguar XKR is the second year of the superb 400 Horsepower 4.2 V8 mated to a 6 speed ZF transmission which gives more power and better MPG than the previous, also superb 4.0 V8. Though with 900 positive part number changes from the 4.0 it really is where the smart money goes!

The 4.2 Liter Supercharged XKR is the one to own. An absolute pleasure. The car benefits from and is equipped with a set of high dollar 3 piece 20'' deep dish rims staggered 285 to the rear and 255 to the front. This give the XKR that muscular stance which simply states that 'It means Business'!! I will be changing out the rear tires for the new owner!!

This car has been inspected and found to be mechanically and electrically superb.

This car is in Beautiful and original condition throughout and is a tribute to its former owner. The paintwork has the Luster of new. So nice!!! The engine and transmission are strong and smooth and all electrical components, including the convertible top operate as they should. The convertible top itself is in excellent condition.

Forget Tawny Kitaen. If you want to make a Jaguar XJ rock, just do what this guy did: stuff a heavily modified and turbocharged General Motors V8 under the hood, and take it to the track.
The video calls this Series 1 XJ a sleeper, but with its open exhaust and obvious turbo whistle, the once-gentlemanly sedan is anything but. The owner says that the engine is GM LQ9 V8 that has been stroked to 402 cubic inches putting out around 720 horsepower with 12 pounds of boost (in standard form, this 6.0-liter V8 was used in the second-gen Cadillac Escalade). We thought the C-X17 concept looked pretty good when Jaguar unveiled it in Frankfurt a couple of months ago. But that shade of blue, while nice enough, made it look like it shared more than a similar name with the Mazda CX-7. No, what a Jaguar needs is a more luxurious paint job than electric blue. And that's just what the British automaker has given its crossover concept in time for the Dubai Motor Show this week.
What we have here is the same C-X17, but repainted in what Jaguar calls "a lustrous Liquid Aluminum liquid metal finish," and we have but to agree. What do you think? Scope it out in the fresh batch of high-res images above and cast your vote in the poll below.

Dick Van Dyke escapes his flaming Jaguar on the 101

Actor Dick Van Dyke was caught in a dangerous situation on a Los Angeles highway (who are we kidding, every situation on an LA highway is dangerous), when his Jaguar XJ spontaneously caught fire. The 87-year-old actor/comedian pulled to the side and attempted to call emergency services when another motorist pulled him from the car. There seems to be some confusion as to whether Van Dyke was passed out or merely calling emergency services.
According to the photos and video from NBC and The Today Show, the car was thoroughly cooked in the blaze and is now a total loss. After the incident, Van Dyke's wife, Arlene, posted that the actor was "fine," sharing a Vine video of the star, the car, and a few CHP troopers that were on hand. Later in the day, Van Dyke tweeted a photo of his toasted sedan, saying, "Used Jag for sale REAL CHEAP!!"
