TITLE UPDATE - EBAY is making me mark the vehicle as salvage even though it does not have anything but a clean indication on the title and they are basing this on auto check.  I have a CLEAN Louisiana title in my hand and when the car was purchased it had a CLEAN Georgia title before that.  The issue seems to be from 2006 when the car had 6000 miles on it in Florida where the car was briefly owned by an insurance company.  I called the Florida DMV and they have the record of this but they do not know why this was done as all the usual images attached to the file were coincidentally not present.  After talking with them the only issue this would pose would be in the state of Florida.  This car will have a clean title in EVERY OTHER STATE in the USA.  The car was even sold by another dealer after this when it was sold in Georgia.  If you would like to see a copy of the clean title that I have you can call me at 504 452 8824 and I can send a picture over!

This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION!  I took down the buy it now and the reserve so the highest bidder wins!
Check out the cheapest 4.2L XKR Convertible on the internet period!  I am helping my friend sell his car as he is moving back to New York and will have no need for a vehicle especially a convertible with winter coming!  I have had a chance to have the car in my possession for a couple of weeks now and have gone through it and this is a VERY solid car.

My friend Bought the car in March of this year from the original owner in Alpharetta Georgia.  The car was purchased with 146,000 miles on it and was serviced for its ENTIRE life at Nalley Automotive - Jaguar.  I have over $13,000 worth of receipts dating back from when the car had 29k miles on it till when the car was purchased in march where it had another $700 dollar service done before it was sold.  The previous owner used the car almost exclusively for highway driving as he commuted a long distance to and from work every day.  Do not let the miles scare you the maintenance records alone show the care and money put into the long term maintenance of this car.

Body

The body is almost flawless which completely amazed me.  I could not find a single ding on the entire car and the back bumper (thanks parking sensors!) looks brand new!
The front bumper because of the highway driving does have rock chips on it as well as one small crack that looks to be easily repaired from behind.  If someone painted the current bumper or put a new front bumper on it the exterior of the car would really be almost perfect!

Interior

The interior is black leather with wood gran trim surrounding the dash.   It has the Alpine sound system with CD changer in the trunk.  From what I can tell everything works on the inside including the power retractable top.  It has the black leather Recaro seats in it.  They have no tears or rips in them and besides being a big dry are in good shape.  The back seats are in excellent condition.  It does have the factory navigation. When it is turned on it says something a bout the navigation CD.  I did not try and look into this but my friend said that when he did use the factory navigation it worked fine.

Drive train

After driving it the transmission seems perfect.  No slipping or issues that I am aware of.  I have not driven an XKR before this so I am not sure how they are supposed to feel but the transmission seems to shift fine.

I made sure to NOT clean the engine bay for the new owner.  This is exactly how the motor was given to me and I feel this is important to show how it is rather then trying to dress it up.  All fluids look clean and filled.  I recently checked all intake plumbing and vacuum hoses for leaks and besides tightening a few clamps found no issues as well.  I also hooked up my OBD 2 scanner to the car to check for engine codes (engine light was off) and there were no stored codes either.

Brakes and tires

The tires are the original equipment Pirelli PZERO tires.  Two of them were replaced in March and the other two were in excellent condition.  these are very expensive tires and they look to be almost new!

The brakes come with the large red calipers and slotted rotors.  I know the owner let me know the brake rotors need to be cleaned often to make sure they stopped properly.  The pads and fluid looks good but the brakes seem to not stop as fast as I thought they might. This could be perfectly normal as I am not used to driving a very fast heavy touring car.  There is no noise from the brakes and seem to be in good condition.  UPDATE:  After looking at the receipts the car hdds new OEM PADS and Rotors replaced at 135,000 miles at a total of over $900.00.  As i thought they look to be in great shape.

Only known Issues I have found

The Airbag light is on on the vehicle.  It blinks two times when the car is turned on and after some research it seems this is an indication of a one of the airbag sensors either on the back of the seat or the bottom of it.  The HAL sensor is known to go bad and this seems to be the issue.  I had the capacity to reset the code but I decided against this so the new owner knows of this small issue.  Because of the mechanic checking this out the back of the leather seats were un clipped to have access to this.  New clips are needed to put the small trim sides back on but since these will probably be taken off again to fix the issue I decided to leave it as is.  Besides this issue There are NO other lights on the dash, warning lights or any other issues that I can find.  This well maintained car looks to be in very solid condition and you can get a 90k dollar super car for a fraction of the cost!

Terms and Shipping.

I have no problem shipping the car anywhere in the continental USA for the new owner.  The new owner will pay for all shipping cost but I am familiar with doing this and will assist where I can.  A $500.00 deposit is due within 48 hours of the close of auction.  The remaining payment will need to be sent to me either through bank transfer or overnight cashier check.  The title will then be mailed with a copy of the owners front an back of his driver license.  I have 100% Ebay feedback and will make sure this transaction is VERY easy and quick to ensure everyone is happy!  If you are local and want to check the car out please message me to set up an appointment I have no problem showing the vehicle!

Jaguar rolls out 2014 XJ updates

Tue, 20 Aug 2013

It may be an uphill battle with Mercedes-Benz having rolled out its all-new S-Class, but in an effort to entice more customers towards its flagship sedan, Jaguar has announced a series of enhancements for the XJ.
A number of upgrades aim to make the long-wheelbase model that much more accommodating, with new airline-style rear seats that recline, massage and optimize the headroom in the back. The rear suspension has also been recalibrated for comfort, and there's a new optional Meridian sound system with a Conversation Assist feature that uses microphones in the headliner to pick up occupants' voices and pipe them through the speakers to support the art of conversation in motion.
The engine range carries over unchanged, but each engine is now mated to an eight-speed automatic with an available stop/start system which Jaguar says takes less time to restart the engine than it takes for the driver to move his or her right foot from brake to gas. Full details in the press release below.

SVR plans to tune electrified Jaguar-Land Rover models, but not the I-Pace

Sun, May 24 2020

Jaguar-Land Rover's SVR division has only put its name on high-horsepower gasoline-burning cars, like the XE Project 8 built in strictly limited numbers. It's open to the idea of tuning electrified models, whether they're electric or hybrid, but it confirmed it's not currently planning on making a spicier evolution of the I-Pace. "We will be developing electrified versions of our cars, be that fully electrified or plug-in hybrids," affirmed Michael van der Sande, the division's managing director, in an interview with Auto Express. But although the electric I-Pace (pictured) raced in a one-make race series held on the sidelines of Formula E events for two seasons, and SVR could credibly claim to inject track DNA into a street car, it stressed the I-Pace doesn't appear in its product plans for reasons that remain a little bit murky. Jaguar announced the end of the eTrophy series in May 2020, which might explain why it's reluctant to exploit racing's marketing power. "There are other various things we are working on which we can't talk about, but we're very interested in electrification. That's why we got involved in eTrophy," van der Sande clarified. "The technology transfer, the learning applies to that car and other cars but we're not planning an SVR I-Pace at the moment." His comments confirm we'll need to be patient to see what SVR's take on an electric or hybrid car looks like. One of the first electrified models to receive the go-fast treatment might be the next-generation XJ tentatively scheduled to make its debut before the end of 2020. It will be exclusively electric, though it won't look as radical as the I-Pace, so Jaguar will need to find a way to replace the hot-rodded XJR 575 model it positioned at the top of the last-generation model's line-up. It's not too far-fetched to speculate the next Range Rover also due out in the coming months will receive some degree of electrification, and it could spawn an SVR-tuned model, too. 2016 Jaguar XF First Drive [w/video]

Thu, Sep 3 2015

Jaguar has never had a problem with style or driving joy. Every generation of the British brand's vehicles – with excuses made and accepted in advance for S-Type and X-Type and other outliers – has offered compelling styling and great performance. New kid XF was no exception when it was introduced in 2007. The car's sheetmetal pointed the way forward for the fully up-to-date range we see now, and its confident engines and handling chops were on pace with the best Bimmers, Benzes, and Cadillacs. The first-generation XF made some hay for Jaguar, selling around 280,000 copies through 2014. But those annualized rates still represented a blip on the luxury midsize radar when viewed against the backdrop of the German Three's numbers. Part of that sales story has been down to the E-Classes and 5 Series of the world being consistently excellent, to be sure. But a lot of the blame can be found in Jaguar's historic weak spots. Grace and pace the brand had in spades, but consumer perception of quality and reliability just weren't there, pricing was typically near the top of the class, and the residual values of the cars were low (a combination of all three factors, most likely). Of course, Jag would love to sell a few more cars. But this time, instead of simply building a great-looking, great-driving new XF (which is absolutely the case), the brand is doing some clever non-engineering-based things to put more big cats in more garages than ever before. The tradeoff of very good ride quality is worth the minute amount of roll. After flying all they way to Spain – Pamplona and the Navarra Circuit, by way of Barcelona and a Range Rover adventure you'll hear about soon – I would be remiss not to tell you how the new XF goes down the road. Some 150 kilometers (93 miles) of motorway and challenging b-roads lie between the city with that annual livestock problem and the 2.44-mile, FIA approved racecourse. A route that led me to understand that this XF, in my case the 380-horsepower XF S, has gained more than it has lost in the generational changeover. The company is fully committed to aluminum for its midsizer, with the new car now using a body structure that's 75-percent built from the stuff. I'm told that means a body in white that weighs just over 600 pounds, and an overall weight savings of 11 percent. Body stiffness has been raised by 28 percent in the process.
