Up for sale is this Pristine 2001 Jaguar XK8 Convertible.
This Jag is had only 49,000 miles and its probably one of the
cleanest ones out there. The exterior of this high-line vehicle is
finished in Metallic Blue and complimented with the camel leather interior. Unfortunately,
this car was involved in a flood and its being sold with a
salvage flood title from Pennsylvania. I am not sure why the
insurance company decided to
brand this car a flood car because I can see no sign of flood damage
anywhere on this vehicle.I dont believe any water touched this vehicle
at all. We had our mechanics check this vehicle from top to bottom and
there is no damage at all from any flood. We believe the vehicle was
branded a flood simply because of liability reasons. This vehicle is
perfect from top to bottom. I have been driving the vehicle daily with my dealer plate and have had no isues with it at all. It is perfectly reliable.
This SC430 is in perfect
mechanical condition and everything works the
way it should, and I mean everything! Just watch my video and you will
see for yourself! Every single light bulb lights up and every switch
functions properly. Even the tire pressure sensors work the way they
should. I have been driving this vehicle on and off and its
a really nice driving vehicle. I put about 1000 miles on it and it runs
100% and gets about 24MPG! It turns heads where ever it goes and people
are always asking me about it. This vehicle cost close to $70,000 when
it was new! All the detailing on the car was done and
its ready for its new owner.
Nothing has to be done to this car! You can jump in this car and drive
it 2,000 miles back home without any problems at all. The car has 49k
on it, which is very low for a Jaguar, especially one this age. This
car was maintained top notch and has always had its maintanence done.
The oil changes are up to date and Mobil 1 was always used in this
vehicle. This vehicle was also always dealer serviced. This vehicle spent most of its life in the
garage, so it was never
subjected to a cold or wet climate. So, you know this car was maintaned
the way it should and no expense was spared. This car just had its oil
and tranny fluid serviced, has fairly new tires, good brakes, good rotors, and wiper blades. The tires are all matching Michellin tires with plenty of tread remaining. This XK8 is loaded up with all the rare
options. It has leather heated seats, upgraded Alpine sound system, rear parking sensors, power tilt steering wheel, remote keyless entry, CD changer in trunk with IPOD or AUX MP3 capabilities, alloy wheels, real burl wood trimming, full power convertible top, memory settings, automatic rain sensing wipers, motorized headlamp washers, fog lamps, and all the power accessories that you would expect from a Jag. The car comes 2 keys and the
remote key fob. We also have the original floor mats, the full size spare tire, and the complete
tool kit in the trunk, along with the trunk mat. The
exterior of the car looks like a brand new car would. There is no
scratches, dents, or any other damage to talk about. Its super super
clean. The paint shines like glass, you can see your face in it. All
the rubber and moldings are in nice shape with no dry rot on them and
no leaks. The interior of the car is immaculate. The seats are
is fantastic condition and show no wear at all. The wood trims and
leather has held up amazingly and it is all intact. The carpets and
other panels are all
in great shape and all the mechanicals and electricals are 100%. Every
single feature in this vehicle is working the way it should. There is
no surprises or dissappointments with this vehicle. Its a 10 out of 10
all the way. Before
this vehicle was "flooded" it had a clean carfax with no accident
history. I dont believe this vehicle was ever in any accidents and all
the painwork seems to be original and perfect. This car is
being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties
expressed or implied. This vehicle has a salvage flood title from Pennsylvania. It is YOUR responsibility to find out the laws and
regulations for titling this vehicle in your state. If you
would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome
to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the
buy-it-now price. If you are located outside my
local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped
to you at your cost. A $500 non-refundable deposit must be made within
24 hours on the auctions end. The remaining balance must be paid in
full by 3 days after the closing of the auction unless other
arrangements are discussed with me in advance. With that being said,
feel free to email, call, or text me at anytime if you have any
questions or concerns. Thanks and good luck bidding!

How Jaguar optimized the Ingenium gas engine for the F-Type
Fri, Apr 21 2017At the 2017 New York Auto Show, Jaguar showed off the new entry-level F-Type, packing a 2.0-liter, turbocharged, gasoline-fueled inline-four that produces 296 horsepower, which is built in-house in the UK. It's the debut of this branch of the Ingenium engine series, and it's also the top of the Ingenium gas range; most JLR vehicles will offer a less powerful 247-hp version. We caught up with Jaguar's engineers to figure out exactly how this high-output Ingenium engine differs, and what Jaguar had to do to fit it in the F-Type's engine bay. While all Ingenium 2.0-liter gas fours share major architecture – the aluminum block and heads, as well as the bore and stroke – there are some internal differences. The most important are the low-compression pistons, which allow for more boost without detonation. The new compression ratio is 9.5:1, compared to the 10.5:1 ratio in the 247-hp spec engines. To make the most out of more boost, you need new plumbing and a way to get more fuel into the combustion chamber. So Jaguar fitted a larger twin-scroll turbocharger that's unique to this application. It features low-friction ceramic ball bearings – Jaguar says this improves transient response. There are also new fuel injectors and a fuel pump to accommodate the increased demand for gas in the high-output engine. On the back end, there's a unique exhaust system with active flaps to give it a louder bark when called for. Of course, some new hardware and more boost means the various electronic systems that control the engine needed changes. For one, Jaguar's changed the cam timing and valve lift mapping, as well as the ignition timing. The throttle mapping and transmission calibration have also been optimized for the new engine. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. As far as the driver's concerned, the biggest change from the 247-hp engine to the 296-hp one – other than increased scoot – will be where the power peak is. The 296-hp engine makes peak power at a higher point in the rev range, which should reward drivers who generously prod the throttle and hold gears in manual mode. Remember, F-Types equipped with this engine will only be available with an automatic transmission. You should also remember that it's an excellent gearbox overall, with rapid, smooth shift characteristics, if the other 8-speed Jaguars are anything to go by.
2021 Jaguar F-Pace spied getting ready for a significant update
Tue, Dec 3 2019The Jaguar F-Pace is still relatively new to the world — started as a 2017 model year car — but it looks like an update is on the way. These spy shots preview a few new design and styling details coming to the companyÂ’s luxury crossover. Its shape remains the same, but Jaguar appears to be honing the finer points. Jaguar has taken the liberty of covering up the front bumper to a great extent. Look out for a redesigned front grille (probably larger than today) and reshaped front lower air intakes. The headlights might be getting a makeover to fit the new face better, but itÂ’s tough to tell how different they may be with all the camo surrounding them. This F-Pace is similarly disguised out back with a full form-fitting cover. We can see the LED taillights poking through, and the design may be a bit different than how it looks today. With so much camouflage itÂ’s tough to know for sure, but the lights look slimmed down and generally smaller. One of the two F-Paces spied here has visible exhaust tips extending beyond the bumper. ItÂ’s tough to say what the rear valance and exhaust design will look like in final production form, but the rear aesthetic is definitely going to be different. There are no interior photos, but our spy shooters report seeing a fully covered interior. This could indicate some new design elements and updated tech. WeÂ’ll expect both of those things when the mildly updated F-Pace is ultimately revealed. Look out for a launch soon, possibly as a 2021 model year vehicle.
Jaguar XJ electric sedan debut pushed to late 2021
Wed, Jul 15 2020Jaguar's been testing prototypes of the coming all-electric XJ sedan for a while now, an example we saw earlier this year testing in the cold having reached an advanced stage. The plan had been to launch the battery-powered flagship fastback this year, with sales to commence early 2021. A report in The Sunday Times says that plan has changed, Jaguar pushing the XJ back to the third quarter of next year while the automaker focuses on its finances and its most profitable models. The site FormaCar reports, "The presentation date on the official website now reads, 'October 2021,'" but we haven't found that XJ-specific page. In response to questions about the Jaguar canceling the XJ, a spokesperson responded, "Our engineers continue to work on the next-generation all-electric Jaguar XJ. We remain committed to our long-term strategy and our product portfolio remains the same, but the unprecedented situation will inevitably have an impact on our immediate plans." The Jaguar Land Rover group, coming off a string of deep losses during 2018 and 2019, was working through a cost-cutting and turnaround plan when Covid-19 hammered the global economy. The whispered concern among outsiders is that Jaguar will drop the XJ entirely, but that doesn't appear to be the case for now. The automaker cut thousand of jobs while investing more than a billion pounds into its Castle Bromwich factory to prepare for electric-car assembly. At the moment, Castle Bromwich normally builds the XE and XF sedans, those offerings also in flux while Jaguar reportedly considers turning one or both of them into a small hatchback or a compact plug-in hybrid sedan. We write "normally" because the factory was put on pause to deal with Covid lockdowns, and isn't scheduled to restart until August 14. And above all of this, JLR is on the hunt for a new CEO to replace Ralf Speth. We've been expecting the new sedan to open the book on mainstream luxury EVs, the same way the I-Pace did for SUVs, but it appears that won't happen. The electric XJ will come on the Modular Longitudinal Architecture, and we've understood the specs include a 90.2-kWh battery pack, the same size as the I-Pace pack. There have been rumors about a four-motor setup, but odds favor a twin-motor arrangement. The motors in the I-Pace produce 394 horsepower and 512 pound-feet of torque. For an XJ flagship, we'd expect an even more powerful option in the range.
