Hello, you are viewing my NO RESERVE 1952 Jaguar XK120 V8 (titled as a 1952 Jaguar) Replica/kit that has only 1440 miles since it was built.   This car has been garaged and it shows! This XK120 Replica is in WONDERFUL condition that is well maintained.

This is a very high quality, profession build (factory quality), no short cuts.

The red paint is in excellent condition with a great shine that looks as new (there are only a couple of small scratches and chips). The frame, undercarriage, exhaust looks as new underneath (only 1440 miles).

The interior, wood dash, seats and carpet are ‘as new’.

This car does have heat with a blower, working VDO gauges, and a radio.

This car also comes with a soft top with zipper windows (I do have the driver side window that is not pictured) and a full tonneau top (can be driven all year round).

Mechanically the car is EXCELLENT!!!!!!! (Cobra Fast!!) Runs (no smoke), drives and shifts perfect! The engine is a 289 v8 with a smooth shifting 3 speed automatic transmission. Horn and wipers are not working at this time. The brakes (front disk) stop very well! Tires are new (only 1440 miles on them) Wheels are in excellent condition, drives very smooth and straight (comes with two sets of hubcaps, wire and dog dish type.

This car can be driven all year round because the soft top is very tight and the heat works very well!

The car is sold in “As Is Condition”. I do welcome and encourage a presale inspection.

Please bid if you are serious and have available funds to complete this transaction.

If you have questions, please send me your phone number and I will give you a call.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE THE FUNDS TO COMPLETE THE TRANSACTION BEFORE YOU BID.

Stolen Jaguar E-Type reunited with owner after 46 years

Mon, 22 Sep 2014

Barely six months into owning it, Ivan Schneider had his Jaguar E-Type stolen from outside of his Manhattan apartment in 1968. Now, 46 years later, the somewhat beat-up convertible has been recovered just before it was about to be shipped to a new owner in The Netherlands.
US Customs agents at the Port of Los Angeles found the car during a routine check, and they contacted Schneider to arrange returning it to him. When the feds found it, the E-Type was already in a shipping container ready to go to its new owner. The condition is hardly perfect today, including rough paint and a replacement door, but Schneider is ecstatic to get his classic back.
Understandably, the now 82-year-old never thought he would see his droptop Jaguar again. Schneider told the LA Times that he bought the E-Type for $5,000 after winning a case as a lawyer, and it was originally painted gray. Now, he plans to have to have the vintage convertible restored to its former glory in New York.

Autocar compares new Maserati Quattroporte to Jaguar XJ

Mon, 07 Jan 2013

Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe took the 2014 Maserati Quattroporte on a spin along snowy mountain roads to test it for a specific brief: as a limousine for the chauffeured class. It's sporting credentials are impressive: Twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8, 532 horsepower, 475 pound-feet of torque in casual circumstances that rises to 532 lb-ft in overboost, a 0-to-60 mile-per-hour sprint of 4.7 seconds and a top speed of 191 mph.
However, citing Maserati's desire to not just increase its sales to 50,000-per-annum by 2015, but to sell many more of its cars in China, Sutcliffe wanted to find out if the livery side of the Quattroporte could match its sport sedan side. So after taking the pilot's seat and trying out the sport settings, Sutcliffe hops in back to test out the CEO's seat.
Then he compares the Quattroporte against the long-wheelbase Jaguar XJ with its supercharged V8, a sedan that's 15,000 pounds less expensive than the Maserati. It doesn't take long for him to find that one of them is a clear winner when it comes to transporting VIPs. To find out which one, enjoy the video below.

Top Gear caught filming Best of British near Buckingham Palace

Mon, 24 Jun 2013

YouTuber and car-fan extraordinaire Shmee probably had very little trouble tracking down the Top Gear film crew recently, as the group was putting together an episode that could accurately be described as "excessive." With its flag-waving (literally) Best of British theme, the TG guys gathered a jaw-dropping array of British cars, and parked them all right in front of Buckingham Palace to make extra sure that the point was driven home.
Top Gear hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May were outfitted with a trio of Jaguar F-Types festooned with gigantic Union Jacks, with which to survey the landscape of British motoring glory. In the video below, you'll see that this includes any number of Mini, Aston Martin, Lotus, McLaren, Land Rover, Bentley and Rolls-Royce models (just to name a few), as well as a healthy dose of weird stuff that most people would never guess at being built in the UK. The lawnmowers and military vehicles are especially cool.
