The exterior of this Jaguar is in good overall shape. The body looks straight
and the paint is shiny and bright and looks good overall, but it
does show some dings, scratches, etc. The tires are a matching set
with ok tread. There are no
cracks in the windshield, but it does show some typical road wear,
rock chips, etc. It has the typical
scratches/dings/dents/rock chips that you'd expect, that are
consistent with age and use on a 2000 convertible, but it still has an overall
nice look.

The interior of this XK8 is in overall good shape. The leather
looks good overall, but does show some wear and blems here and
there. The carpets are in good shape overall, but do show
some blems. The headliner has been cleaned and has a good overall look
to it. The air blows cold - we ran it for over 30 minutes while
taking pictures. It doesn't appear to have been smoked in as there
is no odor of such. It has the typical light scuffs, blems, etc.
that you'd expect on a used vehicle, but it still has an overall
good look to it, and it certainly looks to have been taken care

This V8 starts right up and
idles fine and has good power and acceleration and drives straight
down the road. It has a good solid feel to it. Brakes feel good. We’ve inspected,
serviced and detailed it and it’s ready to drive wherever
you need. |

Successful bidder must
contact us within 2 days of the close of the auction, and must
submit a deposit of $500 within 48 hours of auction
end. Remaining balance is to be paid within 7 days of the close of
the auction. We accept Paypal and Credit Cards - Master
Card, Discover, Visa, Debit-Cards - FOR DEPOSITS ONLY.
For payment of balance, we accept Bank Loan checks, Wire
Transfers, Money Orders,/ Cashiers Checks, Company Checks, and
Cash. Personal checks will be accepted if arrangements are
made in advance. We are happy to work with your bank if you are
getting your own financing. We do not take Credit
Cards for the entire amount unless you make prior arrangements.

Delivery/Shipping |

You have two major options
for delivery. You can either have it shipped, which we can
help arrange, or you can pick up the vehicle here at our location.
We regularly pick up people at Denver International Airport (DEN)
free of charge and bring them to the lot for pickup, as long as
you fly in during our business hours. The airport is about 35
minutes from our store, and is about a $100 taxi fare.
We provide a 60 day
temporary permit for every vehicle. This is like a 2-month license
plate.
We regularly use a shipping
company called Diamond Express Transportation. We have shipped
several hundred vehicles with them without a single problem over
the last 8 years. Feel free to call Shawn or

depending on the size of the vehicle and the distance. We'd be
happy to get you a quote by calling us at 720.346.4004, or you can

have one bank that will finance out of state, but prefer you use

taxes. For Colorado residents, we have to collect State tax,
and any other applicable taxes, costs, etc.
If you are having the
vehicle shipped to you, we cannot release it for shipping until we
have all the State forms/Dealer forms signed and returned, and the
vehicle is paid in full.

The second half of the seventh and final season of Mad Men debuted this week, set to cap a run of public and critical acclaim. A decade's worth of interesting cars also made for good television, if you were paying attention. Vehicles didn't often steal the spotlight from Don, Betty, Roger, Joan and the gang, but they added meaningfully to the tone and beauty of the series. We sorted through the wheeled extras from Mad Men's archives, and choose some of our favorites to highlight. The list consists of cars that had at least a small impact on the plot of an episode, though certainly there are worthy gems hiding in just about every street and driving scene. Check out our subjective top five, and then let us know which of the Mad Men cars would be on your list. 1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille – Season 2 Don Draper's Cadillac Coupe DeVille, all 500 feet of it, shows up in a few seasons of the show, but it's the first appearance that sets the tone. A Cadillac salesman, cut from the same cloth as Draper, asks what Don drives right now. "A Dodge," Don admits. "Those are wonderful if you want to get somewhere," allows the salesman, "this is for when you've already arrived." For a man on the move up corporate and social ladders that's a powerful message, and a pitch-perfect car. 1961 Lincoln Continental – Season 3 The most stylish Lincoln Continental ever is perfect set dressing for the mod show, of course. Though it's interesting that the car isn't cast as dapper Draper's ride, but rather his father-in-law's. Grandpa Gene does what all great grandfathers are bound to: lets his granddaughter Sally drive the big Lincoln while he works the pedals. Generational bond secured, in fine fashion. When you go back through the first three seasons of the show, you'll notice that Continentals show up more than once, too. There's nothing quite like them to evoke the best of the early '60s. 1963 John Deere 110 – Season 3 The only non-standard passenger vehicle on the list, no self-respecting gearhead/Mad Men fan should quibble with the inclusion of the John Deere 110 riding mower. For starters, the Deere is lovely to look at; a miniature version of the American Heartland icon in its green and yellow duds. The 110 appears as if milled from a solid block of steel, just the opposite of today's sleek, plasticky lawn minders (we're scouring Craigslist for one to bring home). The John Deere also has dear ramifications to the plot, too.

While the Chinese auto industry continues to grow and expand with new and original products, a number of automakers still refuse to play by the rules. Rather than coming up with original designs, these automakers shamelessly copy designs from other automakers, slapping their badge on the front as if it were an original product. According to Auto Express, Land Rover has grown tired of dealing with these frauds to the point that it's essentially stopped showing concept cars in order to stave off these clones. One of the most notable and brazen examples of these Chinese copycats is the LandWind X7. While that car looks like an obvious ripoff of the Range Rover Evoque, complaints by Jaguar Land Rover were dismissed, and the X7 hit the market for about a third of the price of the Evoque. Further efforts by JLR have done nothing to halt or change the car's production. It seems Chinese authorities are more interested in protecting the home team than upholding copyright laws. Land Rover design boss Gerry McGovern said the automaker was "wary of showing new concepts" because they just give these competitors time to work up a copy. Land Rover's latest model, the Velar, debuted in Geneva in production form. Skipping concepts may not stop competitors from making copies, but it does give Land Rover a huge head start when it comes to production. Barely six months into owning it, Ivan Schneider had his Jaguar E-Type stolen from outside of his Manhattan apartment in 1968. Now, 46 years later, the somewhat beat-up convertible has been recovered just before it was about to be shipped to a new owner in The Netherlands.
US Customs agents at the Port of Los Angeles found the car during a routine check, and they contacted Schneider to arrange returning it to him. When the feds found it, the E-Type was already in a shipping container ready to go to its new owner. The condition is hardly perfect today, including rough paint and a replacement door, but Schneider is ecstatic to get his classic back.
Understandably, the now 82-year-old never thought he would see his droptop Jaguar again. Schneider told the LA Times that he bought the E-Type for $5,000 after winning a case as a lawyer, and it was originally painted gray. Now, he plans to have to have the vintage convertible restored to its former glory in New York.
