Offered for sale is a 1997 Jaguar XK8 Convertible

98987 Miles

This Jaguar is a great looking car with the paint in great condition. It seems to of always been an inside car as there is no sun damage to any of the paint, dash, convertible top, or leather. It runs and drives great with effortless amounts of power. The two front tires have wear and are nearing the end of their lives and causes some vibration. The interior is in great shape with no major rips or stains. There is some age related ware and a small split along a seem on the bottom of the drivers seat. please see photos.  A set of real sheep skin seat covers is included with the car in this auction.

The convertible top is in excellent shape with no rips. the back glass window is also in good shape and the top doesn't leak when the car is washed! The power top moves quickly and quietly. All power windows and seats are functional. The radio has been upgraded to a CD player but the original is avalible in the truck. The Climate control operates as it should, the lcd screen can be hard to read at times depending on the temperature out side. The AC doesn't blow cold constantly. I have only had it come on once. There is NO check engine light and NO air bag lights on while the car is running. All the lights come on upon start up of the car and then go off just as they are intended to do.

Under the hood all fluids are full and appear to be the colors that they should be. I have also been told that the bakes are in good shape as they have lots of pad left. When you put the car in park there is a sensor that tells the computer it is in park. This sensor often is unable to tell and it makes a beep when you exit the car. The beeping stops in a few seconds. It does not cause any other issues as the car is in park, It just beeps to tell you that you may not be as you exit the car.

This car is titled in my name and holds a rebuilt Nevada title. I received this car as a form of payment from a client so my knowledge of the car is fairly limited. it lived in his garage for many years and he rarely drove it. I have driven it from California and around Vegas without any problems. It seems to be a great car and just needs a new owner. I am not an expert on cars so I hope i have described everything. I hope the photos speak for them selves. Please contact me with any additional questions.

PLEASE NOTE:

A bid is a commitment to buy, not a conditional offer. If you bid and win, the car is yours! Any non paying bidders will be turned over to E bay.

A $500 Deposit is required via money transfer or pay pal within 24 hours of auction close. NO exceptions.

Pick up is with in 1 week of action close. unless previously discussed. After one week there will a daily charge for storage and insurance.

I have described the car to the best of my abilities. However it is a used car. All inspection must be done prior to auction end.

Best of luck! She is a great car!

Jaguar F-Pace snapped inside and out

Tue, Apr 28 2015

We've seen the Jaguar F-Pace undergoing testing before: at the Nurburgring, in the snow, and wearing a variety of different bodywork as development has progressed. But we've never seen it this close, and we've never seen it inside, until now. This latest batch of spy shots shows Coventry's new crossover out on the road undergoing warm-weather testing in what looks like Spain. It's tellingly parked in between a Jaguar XE and Range Rover Evoque, the gap between which the F-Pace is expected to bridge. It's still wearing heavy camouflage, of course, but this is our first glimpse inside the cockpit. The cabin rather similar to the one on the new XF sedan – and hardly any more upright, either, which tells us a bit about the handling character Jaguar is going after with the F-Pace. Expect to see the finished product at the Frankfurt Motor Show this coming fall – the same show where it unveiled the C-X17 concept two years ago to preview its arrival. Related Video:

Lightweight E-Type to show historic side of Jaguar Special Operations in Monterey

Mon, 11 Aug 2014

Jaguar has made a lot of great vehicles over the years, but as far as historians are concerned, it still very much lives in the shadow of the original E-Type, small as it was. In its image, Jaguar has made two generations of XK and the new F-Type, but what we have here is the most faithful continuation of the E-Type heritage yet.
Alongside the Range Rover Sport SVR and the F-Type Project 7 (making its US debut), Jaguar Land Rover and its new Special Operations division will roll into Pebble Beach this year with the continuation Lightweight E-Type. Of the 72,500 E-Types which Jaguar built between 1961 and 1975, only a dozen were Lightweight versions, and they remain the most coveted E-Types of all. It originally planned on building 18 examples, though, and five decades later, it's now committed to completing that original production run in faithful detail.
The Lightweight E-Type was based on the standard roadster and was homologated as such, just with some key upgrades to make it lighter and faster. The biggest change, of course, was the lightweight aluminum bodywork that cut 205 pounds off the curb weight. To replicate it, Jaguar took the last example (the only one made in 1964 after the original eleven were made in '63), scanned half its body surface, mirrored it to ensure symmetry and set about reproducing it with the same standard of materials available in the Sixties (and resisting the urge to go with more modern grades of aluminum). 75 percent of the 230 components are made in-house, with the largest stampings outsourced and built on machinery built to Jaguar's specifications off-site.

Looking back on our favorite cars of Mad Men

Tue, Apr 7 2015

The second half of the seventh and final season of Mad Men debuted this week, set to cap a run of public and critical acclaim. A decade's worth of interesting cars also made for good television, if you were paying attention. Vehicles didn't often steal the spotlight from Don, Betty, Roger, Joan and the gang, but they added meaningfully to the tone and beauty of the series. We sorted through the wheeled extras from Mad Men's archives, and choose some of our favorites to highlight. The list consists of cars that had at least a small impact on the plot of an episode, though certainly there are worthy gems hiding in just about every street and driving scene. Check out our subjective top five, and then let us know which of the Mad Men cars would be on your list. 1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille – Season 2 Don Draper's Cadillac Coupe DeVille, all 500 feet of it, shows up in a few seasons of the show, but it's the first appearance that sets the tone. A Cadillac salesman, cut from the same cloth as Draper, asks what Don drives right now. "A Dodge," Don admits. "Those are wonderful if you want to get somewhere," allows the salesman, "this is for when you've already arrived." For a man on the move up corporate and social ladders that's a powerful message, and a pitch-perfect car. 1961 Lincoln Continental – Season 3 The most stylish Lincoln Continental ever is perfect set dressing for the mod show, of course. Though it's interesting that the car isn't cast as dapper Draper's ride, but rather his father-in-law's. Grandpa Gene does what all great grandfathers are bound to: lets his granddaughter Sally drive the big Lincoln while he works the pedals. Generational bond secured, in fine fashion. When you go back through the first three seasons of the show, you'll notice that Continentals show up more than once, too. There's nothing quite like them to evoke the best of the early '60s. 1963 John Deere 110 – Season 3 The only non-standard passenger vehicle on the list, no self-respecting gearhead/Mad Men fan should quibble with the inclusion of the John Deere 110 riding mower. For starters, the Deere is lovely to look at; a miniature version of the American Heartland icon in its green and yellow duds. The 110 appears as if milled from a solid block of steel, just the opposite of today's sleek, plasticky lawn minders (we're scouring Craigslist for one to bring home). The John Deere also has dear ramifications to the plot, too.
