1988 Jaguar XJS - V12 with Red Exterior and Beige Leather and Mahogany interior. I purchased this car last year from a private owner in Houston and he stated that when he bought the car the previous owner had kept it garaged and not used for the past eight years. The car body is in excellent condition with no noticeable dents or scratches, the interior is also in excellent condition and the leather seats show very little wear for a car manufactures in 1988. The air conditioner blows really cold and all electrical controls are operational. The engine compartment and trunk are in great condition and both clean and really well maintained. The odometer has 70000 miles I drive the car twice a week and it starts first time and runs great without any issues. I replaced all tires when I purchased the car as it had been stored on the originals for eight years. I am only selling the car as I have to make space in my garage (wife's orders) any inspection welcome. Jaguar C-X17 Concept teased before Frankfurt
Sun, 01 Sep 2013Just ahead of the Frankfurt Motor Show, which begins September 10, Jaguar is teasing the reveal of a design study to introduce its new advanced vehicle architecture. Dubbed the C-X17, the mysterious concept "illustrates the diversity of vehicles that could be produced using this architecture, which underpins the innovative future of the Jaguar brand."
While it's not entirely clear what this architecture involves or what type of vehicle the C-X17 may be, this reveal is reminiscent of Jaguar's decision to unveil the C-X16 concept, a hybrid electric sports car, in Frankfurt in 2011. From the looks of the teaser image Jaguar released (click above to enlarge), we're guessing the C-X17 will be something between a low-slung crossover and a sporty wagon. But we won't have to wait too long to find out - Jaguar is streaming the live pre-show reveal to invited guests on its Facebook page on Monday, Sept. 9.
In addition to the C-X17, Jaguar be showing off the performance-oriented XJR and XFR-S, and, of course, the F-Type convertible. Scroll down for the official press release.

Jaguar Land Rover looks to hire hundreds of laid-off tech workers
Sun, Nov 20 2022LONDON — Laid off tech industry workers in Britain could find a new home at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), as the 100-year-old luxury carmaker looks to hire hundreds of engineers to help develop electric car technology. The carmaker, which wants to become an "electric-first" business from 2025, on Friday announced a jobs portal for displaced tech workers to fill 800 roles spanning self-driving, electrification, machine learning and data science. The company said it believed workers leaving big tech groups like Amazon were most likely to have the required skills to fill new roles in Britain, Ireland, the United States, India, China and Hungary. The majority of the jobs will be in Britain. The hiring drive comes after thousands of layoffs in recent weeks at U.S. tech firms including Twitter, Meta and Amazon, some of which have offices in London and Dublin, Ireland. "Our digital transformation journey is well underway but being able to recruit highly skilled digital workers is an important next step," Chief Information Officer Anthony Battle said in a statement. JLR last year announced an electrification strategy under which all Jaguar cars would be fully electric by 2024 and an electric option would be offered across its entire portfolio including Land Rover.
