http://youtu.be/2epMxDssGR8 Rare Lynx Spyder 4-seater Jaguar XJ-S convertible for sale. 1982 V12 HE auto, US spec. , very attractive and tasteful in red with black electrically operated power roof. The original Lynx ID plate in the glove box shows that this is number 58 of 72 that Lynx produced; most were exported to the US & Australia, and very few remain. The Lynx Motor Company was founded in 1968 by engineer Guy Black and architect Roger Ludgate. The company established itself as a specialist in the repair, maintenance, converting and preparation of sports and racing cars Unlike most classic British roadsters, the roof is operated by two electric rams, so it can be lowered or raised by pressing 2 buttons without getting out of the drivers seat. Jaguar eventually produced a 2 seater V12 convertible themselves based on the Lynx design, but the Lynx has the advantage of being a 2+2. This vehicle has been lovingly cared after and there are plenty of receipts that reflect that fact. You are welcome to visit Woodland Hills Quality Motors 22055 Ventura Blvd. Woodland Hills, CA 91364 to inspect his vehicle in person. You can call for an appointment at 818-999-3523. This Jaguar rides on Michelin 215 70R/15 tires with plenty of tread left wrapped around gorgeous honeycomb aluminum wheels. The European headlights look new and all the lenses and marker lights on the car are free of any scratches or cracks. The leather wrapped steering wheel is in spectacular condition and all the wood trim inside is in great shape considering this is a 32 year old automobile. The cloth top and back window shows no signs of aging at all. This car with its V12 engine purrs at idle and pounces quickly upon acceleration. Quiet with no rattles at all. We offer finance options on approved credit and always welcome cash transactions. Thank you for looking and please give us a call (818) 999-3523 if you have any questions at all. We have been dealing in collectible cars for a number of years and have been able to assist in shipping worldwide. |

Jaguar Land Rover UK factories could shut down in two weeks due to coronavirus
Tue, Feb 18 2020COVENTRY, England — Jaguar Land Rover has enough parts from China to maintain its British production for the next two weeks but not beyond that at the moment, Chief Executive Ralf Speth said on Tuesday. Britain's biggest carmaker, which operate three car factories in its home market, joined major global companies such as Apple in warning of the impact of the virus on supply chains. The rapidly spreading virus has killed nearly 1,900 in China and stricken some 72,000 people, confining millions to their homes, disrupting supply chains and delaying reopening of factories after the extended Lunar New Year holiday break. "We are safe for this week and we are safe for next week and in the third week we have... parts missing," said Speth when asking about the potential impact on British production. He said the firm's Chinese factory would open next week and was "safe for the very first week." Sales were not currently happening in China and it was unclear when they would return, he added. The boss of Tata Motors, JLR's parent company, speaking at the same event, said the company does not have sufficient visibility regarding parts suppliers from China. "We are safe for the month of February and for a good part of March," said Guenter Butschek. "Are we fully covered at this point of time for the full month of March? Unfortunately...not." Jaguar F-Type gets even more British with Design Edition
Wed, Jan 6 2016Short of maybe driving a Morgan while wearing tweed and smoking a pipe, automobiles don't come much more quintessentially British than a Jaguar. But now the F-Type is going to be even more so with the launch of the new British Design Edition. It's based on the six-cylinder F-Type S, but upgrades with a series of special touches to set it apart. Red, white, and blue are the dominant colors from which buyers will be able to choose both the exterior color and that of the interior contrast stitching. The leather interior comes in black, and those less patriotically inclined can spec the outside to match. The British Design Edition also features 20-inch wheels in dark gray satin finish, packing upgraded brakes with red calipers. The Design package comes standard with upgraded aero, as does the 12-speaker Meridian sound system. And naturally there are special insignia inside and out. Buyers will be able to choose between coupe or convertible and rear- or all-wheel drive, but either way motivation comes in the form of JLR's 3.0-liter supercharged V6, driving 380 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque through an eight-speed automatic transmission. Only 300 units will be coming to the United States, with prices starting at $92,100 (plus a $995 destination charge) – representing a substantial $14.8k premium over the $77,300 price of entry for an F-Type S Coupe. Spec one out with similar options and you'd be looking at $86,250, which makes the privilege (and resale value) of acquiring the limited edition a $5,850 proposition. Any way you cut it, though, the elbow patches cost extra.
2014 Jaguar XJR is large, in charge
Wed, 27 Mar 2013There are few things in this world we love more than a huge, supersonic-feeling sedan, and Jaguar has just ripped the sheets off of its newest entry into that set of bruisers. The 2014 Jaguar XJR puts down a full 550 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque courtesy of a supercharged 5.0-liter V8. All that thrust lands on the rear tires through an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the big aluminum-chassis'd four door can sprint to 60 miles per hour in a skinny 4.4 seconds. Top speed sits at an electronically limited 174 mph, and Jaguar estimates the machine will still return up to 23 miles per gallon highway.
Do. Want.
The 2014 XJR also features stiffer spring and damper rates along with an electronically controlled rear differential. Of course, there are plenty of styling tweaks on hand to separate the most menacing XJ from the rest of the family. Those include new fascias, R emblems and massive 20-inch wheels outdoors as well as special seating and trim elements indoors. Asking price? That would Be $116,000 for the XJR and $119,000 for the long-wheelbase L version. Check out the full press blast below.
