Video
Basic walk around of the car showing exterior and interior features, followed by a 0 to highway speeds acceleration to show the transmission shifting through the gears.
.

Exterior
The exterior is in very good condition.  It does have dings, dents, chips, scratches etc. associated with being a 12 year old car with  83k miles, but nothing major.  Little to no rust.  Its overall a very clean car. All tires match with tons of tread remaining. All the glass is good with no nicks or cracks in the windshield.  The headlights and tail lights all work with no issue.  Please study the pictures.

Interior
The interior is very clean as well.  No rips or tears on the leather, but some were marks on the drivers seat.  Everything works as it should without issue.  It has cold A/C and hot heat.  The spare and  jack is there inside the cargo area.  Its got front and rear heated seats.  Very clean, comfortable and quiet cabin overall.    Be sure to watch the video.

Mechanical
Mechanically it’s in great shape.  Its a 2002 meaning its got the upgradged AJ-V8 engine with a sleeved block, upgraded timing tensioners etc.  It starts right up every time. There's no warning lights on the dash.  The transmission shifts through all gears smooth and the engine pulls strong.  No smoke from the tail pipe.  I'd trust driving this car anywhere.  It really runs good.   Oxygen sensor recently replaced with a Bosch one, sway bar link recently replaced with moog one.  Underneath the motor is super dry with no leaks.  All suspension boots and intact with absolutely no leakage.

XJ Sport
Being an xj sport, means you get all the XJR goodies minus the supercharged V8; XJR seats, perforated leather steering wheel, paint matched chrome trim on the grill and trunk lid, suspension and wheels.

I'll Probably recall a few things so be sure check the bottom of the listing for updates!!!!

As you can see I have 100% positive feedback. I have never wronged any one on eBay before. If you win the car and find at the time of pickup that any thing listed in this auction is untrue I WILL NOT HOLD YOU OBLIGATED TO PURCHASE. BID WITH CONFIDENCE!!! I would prefer the car to be picked up within 7 days of auction close. If you would need any more time than that I would have to require a $500 deposit through paypal.

The auction ends Monday August 4th at 8:30 pm central time.  So don't forget to bid!!

Jaguar riffs on Super Bowl ad with new F-Type Coupe web short

Thu, 03 Apr 2014

Continuing the story of black hearts it began with its first Super Bowl commercial, Jaguar is roaring down the dark and oh-so-magnificently appealing road of villainy with a new spot featuring Tom Hiddleston. Using its new F-Type Coupe to demonstrate, the actor explains the salient features of the best - meaning, English - villains.
However, it's likely that even if you could manage the elegance, the tailored suit, the sharp wit and the distinct sound, you couldn't pull it all off nearly as well as Hiddleston. That doesn't mean you can't try, of course. Might we suggest starting with his excellent lesson in being properly villainous in the video below?

Queen Elizabeth II was a longtime automotive enthusiast

Sun, Sep 11 2022

Since driver's licenses, license plates, and passports were issued in her own name, Queen Elizabeth II didn't need them to drive and travel. She started combining the two just before she turned 19, joining the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) transport division in 1945 for vehicle mechanic training. She wanted to help the British effort during World War II and would drive an ambulance — one that, theoretically, she could also fix if it broke down. The war ended before she graduated as an Honorary Junior Commander, the other ATS members dubbing her Princess Auto Mechanic. We donÂ’t know if she got under the hoods of the many official state vehicles and the far more numerous unofficial fleet in the royal garages, but she was still driving herself around England as late as this year. Here is a tiny selection of royal conveyances used during her 70-year reign. Gold State Coach (1762) True, she never drove this one, but a tour of every royal garage should start with the coach. King George III commissioned Samuel Butler to build it in 1760. Butler spent two years on the gilded carriage 24 feet long and more than 12 feet high. The quarters are suspended from the frame by leather straps, so occupants get tossed about even during a slow stroll, which is as fast as the eight Windsor Gray horses can pull it. It wasnÂ’t until the 1900s that King George VI rubberized the wooden wheels. Word is the queen didnÂ’t like it.   1953 Land Rover Series 1 Land Rover gave Queen ElizabethÂ’s father, King George VI, the 100th example of the 80 Series off the line in 1948. She picked up the Landie habit for herself five years later, when a 1953 Series 1 with a custom 86-inch wheelbase was part of the fleet used for her six-month tour of the Commonwealth in 1953 and 1954. That Land Rover became Ceremonial Vehicle State IV. The models above were built in Australia in 1958 as near copies of the Commonwealth tour vehicle, when Australia decided it wanted six identical versions for royal service. ItÂ’s thought the royal family went through around 30 Land Rover Series cars and Defenders since then, and many of the most common photos of her have her posing in or near one, especially the 2002 Defender built just for her. The royal family isnÂ’t finished with them, either: A current Defender 110 served as a luggage hauler for family members headed to Balmoral Castle during the queenÂ’s final days.

Ian Callum wanted to call Jaguar's crossover X-Type [w/poll]

Thu, Jan 15 2015

Jaguar raised some eyebrows when it announced that it would call its upcoming crossover F-Pace. But the British automaker didn't just pick the name out of a hat. Speaking with Auto Express, Jaguar's design director Ian Callum said the company entertained several possible nameplates for its first crossover, and that he personally advocated for resurrecting the name X-Type. The nameplate was, of course, previously used on the marque's entry-level sedan – the predecessor to the upcoming XE that was based on the front-drive platform of the Ford Mondeo and which was also offered with all-wheel drive. The connection with that much-maligned model is reportedly ultimately what dissuaded the company's marketing gurus from using the nameplate again, even if it might have been more suitable. Another nameplate Coventry reportedly considered was XQ, but the latter letter's use by rival Audi for its crossovers and by former sister company Aston Martin for its personalization range ruled the prospect out for the Leaping Cat marque. Auto Express notes a connection between the name F-Pace and Jaguar's 1960s ad campaign hailing its products as offering a combination of "Grace, Space and Pace." For his part, Callum didn't dismiss the possibility the slogan could could lead to additional models wearing similar nameplates like F-Grace or F-Space. What do you think – did Jaguar pick the right name for its first foray into the crossover market? Share your thoughts in Comments and cast your vote in our poll below.
