2010 Jaguar Xj8 on 2040-cars
Coolidge, Texas, United States
Just email me at: chelsieckkerwin@britishforces.com .
Beautiful Claret Red XJ Portfolio with Light beige interior, low miles - only 30,300 miles.
Tires are all excellent having covered only about 3000 miles since fitting a complete set of new Pirelli's.
Extremely clean car inside and out, even the drivers seat looks unworn. Non Smoker. Wheels are in excellent
condition.
Fitted with Stainless Steel tail pipes by "Mina Gallery" (4 outlets) - looks much better, and sounds much nicer
without being intrusive. (lots of comments re the beautiful sound etc. - cost almost $1000)
(The standard tail pipes are available if required) K&N Air filters.
Body color grille surround, and black lower grille (I have the original chrome grilles if required)
All the normal refinements for this model, and all in good working order.
The only defects are as noted above - just being honest, they are all easy and cheap paint shop fixes!!
This car is one of the very early production models and was first registered in 2010, even tho' the model 's
official introduction was not until 2011.
Jaguar were very careful to make sure the early models were right, with no problems - this has been obvious to me,
since I have had no problems at all with the car (unlike two newer versions I've owned, both of which had problems
with the rear air suspension.)
Yes it is the standard version (not the L) - these handle much better than the LWB models!
This Jag is without doubt the best Jag I've owned!!
Will try to post some better pics later - due to some birds catching me out!!

Is the Jaguar XFR-S really worth $17k more than the XFR? [w/poll]
Wed, 22 Jan 2014Adding performance to a car is rarely cheap - whether you're looking to do it yourself or rely on the factory to do it for you. In the case of the new Jaguar XFR-S, the cost differential over an already-impressive (and somewhat expensive) XFR is a stout $16,800. Auto Express recently got a hold of both cars to see whether that price pays off on the track.
For that price, Jaguar gives the XFR-S an extra 40 horsepower and 41 pound-feet of torque - for a total of 550 hp and 502 lb-ft - to go with a stiffer suspension, beefed-up differential and, of course, meaner styling. We don't want to ruin the results of the AE video, but right off the bat, the host says that you can feel the extra power of the XFR-S, but that it's not a "night-and-day difference."
Scroll down to see what happens when two high-powered Jags go head-to-head on a track. And then be sure to let us know whether or not you think the added money is worth it for the XFR-S in the completely informal poll below.
Jaguar and Land Rover to consolidate dealerships
Thu, 29 Nov 2012Jaguar and Land Rover are set to merge their sales facilities, according to Inside Line. Jaguar Land Rover North America President Andy Gross says 45 percent of Jaguar owners also have an SUV in their stable, so it makes sense to give customers as much exposure to the cat's high-riding cousins and possible. The number of overall outlets will remain the same, and the brands will reportedly remain separate on the showroom floor, however.
So far, just one dealer has made the move to combine under the roof of one 68,000 square-foot facility in Paramus, New Jersey (above), though a further 20 are ready to make the shift and become Jaguar Land Rover outlets. Gross believes the shift is necessary so that his company's dealer network will accurately reflect the company's products. We'll see how cozy the brands are when Jaguar starts rolling out its own SUVs in a few years.
Jaguar details XE for North America
Tue, Apr 28 2015Jaguar is bringing the XE to North America next spring, and in advance of its arrival, the British automaker is giving us more details on its new compact sports sedan. The top engine choice is dubbed the XE 35t, which is a little misleading since its tried-and-tested 3.0-liter V6 is actually supercharged, not turbocharged. Regardless of the manner of forced induction, its 340 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque are claimed to propel the XE to 60 miles per hour in 4.9 seconds on its way to an electronically limited top speed of 155 miles per hour. Buyers looking for something more frugal at the pump may be more interested in the other engine option. The XE 20d adopts Jaguar's new Ingenium diesel, a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four good for 180 hp and 318 lb-ft of torque. That's quoted for a 0-60 time of 7.4 seconds and a top speed of 140 mph. Both are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive will also be available on both versions, but come by default in rear-drive form. Buyers will also have the choice among three trim levels, staring with Premium, moving up to Prestige and on to R-Sport with satin chrome and gloss black trim, a rear spoiler and 20-inch alloys. Pricing is set to be announced closer to launch, but for now you can scope out the details in the press release below, and watch this space for our upcoming drive report to follow our earlier report.
