This 2004 Jaguar XJ8 is low mileage for the year model at less than 59000 miles. It is is in good cosmetic condition, especially for a 9 year old car. We have owned the car for about 2 years. We enjoy driving it and hate to sell, but it is an extra vehicle for us now. The car runs strong and shifts smooth. The tires are only a couple months old with remaining warranty through Discount Tire. It has the typical smooth ride expected from these XJs with air suspension. I have 1 key/remote.
The car is mechanically sound and has no issues that I am aware of. I have performed all the services and routine maintenance myself. It has auto tilt wheel for easy entry and exit. It also has adjustable pedals. Both front seats are power with adjustable air lumbar. The headlights are auto on/off and the wipers are automatic rain sensing. The stereo is the base system with single cd player. The "air suspension fault" has come on before a few times due to a front ride height sensor, but the suspension and air compressor and all aspects of the suspension system function properly. The light goes out on its own, so I haven't addressed it other than to find out what was causing the fault.
Cosmetically, this Jaguar is very nice. Though it has been driven and is 9 years old, so it is not perfect. I have taken close up pictures of all the flaws I can find and posted them in this auction. The paint is shiny with a few minor chips and scratches here and there. Clear coat is peeling a little on the passengers side mirror. The windshield has one minor reairable rock chip at the bottom center. The rear bumper has a few scratches on the right rear corner that are hardly visible. Please see the attached pictures for all other minor flaws.
Please contact me with any questions.
This Jaguar is for sell in Fredericksburg, TX locally as well. The winning bidder will be resposible for picking the car up here, or arrange for shipping within 7 days of the end of this auction. I will except a $500 deposit through Paypal within 2 days of the end of auction. I have clear title in hand and will except a cashiers check for the remaining amount.

Jaguar lifts the tailgate on XFR-S Sportbrake
Tue, 25 Feb 2014In the market for an amped-up Jaguar? Look for the letter R, adorning such performance models as the XFR and XJR sedans, the XKR coupe and convertible and the new F-Type R. But if it's bonkers performance you're after, you'll want to add the letter S into the mix as well. Jaguar uses the letters to connote its most hard-core performance variants like the two-door XKR-S and four-door XFR-S. And now it's applied them to the XF wagon as well, skipping the R treatment and going straight for the new XFR-S Sportbrake.
Leaked just the other day and headed for the Geneva Motor Show, Jaguar has now revealed its new power wagon in full. The XFR-S Sportbrake packs Coventry's ubiquitous 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine boasting 542 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque. That's the same version that powers the XKR-S and XFR-S sedan (not to mention the F-Type R and XJR), and drives the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic to rocket the estate to 60 in 4.6 seconds and on to an electronically limited top speed of 186 miles per hour.
That may be pretty quick, but doesn't quite stack up to the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model 4Matic Estate whose 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 offers up 577 hp and 590 lb-ft for a 3.6-second 0-60 time, or to the Audi RS6 Avant whose 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 churns out 552 hp and 516 lb-ft for a 3.9-second 0-62 sprint. Though the Jaguar is only a little behind in output, it's a good second slower where it's measured. Granted that the Benz and the Audi are both all-wheel-drive where the Jaguar powers the rear only, but if four-wheel traction is how you get the power to the road, we wonder why Jaguar wouldn't fall in line. Particularly when the Jag's starting price in the UK (don't expect to see it imported here) is quoted at £82,495 - several grand more than the £76,985 RS6 but just shy of the £85,880 Mercedes gets for the E63 S-Model wagon in the UK (where the less potent 'base' version is also available as the cheapest in the bunch at £75,885).
Jaguar gives us our best look yet at the XF Sportbrake wagon
Wed, May 17 2017Not quite a month after the first official teaser, Jaguar has provided a much clearer look at the new XF Sportbrake. Instead of the overhead shot, we get to see front and sides almost completely unobscured. Almost. The official reveal isn't until June 14, so the car is still covered in camouflage. Since Jaguar will be the vehicle supplier for Wimbledon, and Andy Murray will reveal the car, Jaguar fitted a tennis-ball vinyl wrap. Despite the vinyl wrap, we can still get a pretty clear look at the car. Unsurprisingly, from the B-pillar forward, the XF Sportbrake is identical to its sedan counterpart. From the rear-door back, the roof is obviously extended, and the rear window's rounded corners lead us to believe the previous model's blacked-out D-Pillar has been ditched. We don't particularly care about that, but the video does provide some brief glimpses of the Sportbrake's backside. From the looks of it, the taillights are the same between the sedan and the wagon. The rear bumper and exhaust treatment look very similar, too. As previously mentioned, the Sportbrake will be completely revealed on June 14, and the car will be available later this year – and in the US, as a Jaguar representative confirmed to Autoblog. So if you've been eying an F-Pace, maybe wait just a little longer to try out an XF wagon. Related Video:
The story behind Bridgestone's new tires for the rare and beautiful Jaguar XJ220
Wed, Jun 7 2017The Jaguar XJ220 is a beautiful, fast, and arguably under appreciated supercar from the early 1990s. While contemporaries like the Ferrari F40 and Porsche 959 garner more than $1 million at auctions, the XJ220 might pull in half that. Maintaining an older car requires work, a task made more difficult when parts aren't available. Last year, Bridgestone announced it was producing new tires specifically for XJ220s. The Japanese tire supplier has released a 42-minute video documenting the process. There were only 275 XJ220s ever built, fewer than both the F40 and 959. Until recently, no supplier made four same-spec tires that would fit the XJ220. Early Dodge Viper owners suffer from the same problem. Thanks to both Bridgestone and Pirelli, owners now have two options to choose from. Bridgestone worked with Don Law Racing, the go-to shop for all things XJ220, when developing the right tire for the car. It isn't simply a reproduction of an older-spec tire. Bridgestone tested a number of new compounds. With so few cars available, from the beginning this was going to be a money-losing prospect for the tire maker. Enthusiasts within the organization fought hard to get everything approved. Watch the full video to hear how much time and effort went into the project.
