Please read entire ad, including watching videos and looking at all the pictures, before asking questions. I try to do my best to show the car exactly how it is and I posted a lot of pictures and videos and description so you can see if this is the car for you. The car is in nice shape and runs great. Check out my full description below with 100+ pics in html form and 2 videos. If you have any questions let me know.
2001 Jaguar XJ8. 50K original miles, currently 49,999 and just about to hit 50K (maybe be a few miles over 50K by the time you get it). It runs and drives great with no problems. I am selling it for my neighbor. Clean California title. Current California registration until Feb. 2015. Black paint with Tan leather interior. Paint overall is in nice condition overall. The hood is starting to fade a little, but not too bad and could be made to look better with a wax / buff / etc. I only washed it. Im sure a professional wax / buffing would make the car look even nicer than it already is. It is not bad at all and I am being more critical because it is an online auction and I want to point out everything I notice. It has 1 very small minor ding on the hood (see pic) and another very small ding on the driver side quarter. Both are very minor and not very noticeable. There are 2 very very minor chips on the paint on the hood. See pics to see how minor / very . I want to show everything about the car so you can see. I didn't see anything else around the whole car and that is really good for a black car. It is very straight. The black original paint is very shiny and reflective still. You can see this in the pics and video. It has a small rock chip in the passenger side front window (see pic). The rear bumper had a chip in the paint on the corner and had a little black paint sprayed over it (see pic). It has a small scratch in the middle of the rear bumper (see pic). The car has a couple of minor little scratches on the paint, a little one on the door and a little on on the trunk (see pics), will easily remove with a routine waxing or buffing. Other than these little minor cosmetics, the car looks great. Check out the video and pictures to see it. The Chrome, Windows, Body, lights and everything is in nice shape. In the video I said that one of the tires had some cracks on the side wall needs to be replaced, that is now the spare tire and the car has a new tire on it. The tires are in good condition and have good tread. The 2 back ones are pretty new. The rims are in good condition with no rash (car is usually parked in driveway/ was garaged until 2008 / had car cover most of the time until last year). In the video I said my neighbor was the original owner, but he is actually the 2nd owner. The interior is tan and in nice condition. The leather on the drivers seat shows a little wear but not much and is in nice condition. The interior is very nice condition overall. There is a small rip on the center console top (see pic). There is a little spot on the back seat and a little scratch / very minor (see pic). There are a couple cracks in the wood grain, one on the dash near the left button, a couple small ones on the driver side door panel insert, and one on the passenger side door panel insert (see pics). The headliner is sagging in the back and needs to be glued back up to be perfect but fine as is. It is a cheap fix. It is a common problem that happens on these cars. Everything works good. Non smoker car. Nice interior. Engine is a 4.0 and runs great. 50K original miles. Transmission shifts nice. No leaks. Car runs and drives great like a car with 50K original miles should. 2001 was a good year for Jag, as they upgraded the Aluminum Engine block, the Throttle Body and the Timing Chain to correct problems from previous years. These upgrades from the factory make a 2001 model much more desirable and reliable than a 2000 or previous years because it is so much better of a vehicle. If you are getting a Jaguar of this style you want it to be a 2001 and up for sure. It passed California smog in the last year (Oct 2013) no problem. For CA Buyers, I dont currently have it smogged because smog is only good for 90 days in CA. Since I am putting it on ebay and it might get sold another state it would be a waste of money to smog it in CA. so I am selling it as is, and will let you handle the smog if you need it. It will pass no problem in California, the most restrictive state for smog. It has passed all prior checks. You can check the history at , California Smog Check History , just type in the plate number or vin number. Overall this is a great car. It runs, drives and looks great and is in the condition you would expect a 50K mile original well kept car should be in. This is one of the lowest mile 2001 Jaguar XJ8's that has been on ebay in the past couple months. I have seen ones with more miles sell for more than the starting bid I am putting this car for sale at. I am starting it at $4000 with no reserve. The highest bidder wins it. My neighbors have too many cars and need to make some room so here is your chance to get a great deal. If you have been looking for a low mileage Jag here it is. I have the title, keys and car here and it is ready to go. If I think of anything else I will add it to the ad. If you have any questions let me know. Check out the video and pictures to see the car for yourself. You can make the videos bigger by clicking on the title and watching it on my YT channel. I have put a lot of pictures in html form, so if you are looking from a phone you might need to look from a computer to see all of them. Non refundable deposit of $200 due through Paypal within 24 hours of auctions end. Car should be paid for within 10 days of auction end. Car needs to be picked up within 3 weeks of auctions end. If any of these are a problem for you and you are serious about bidding / buying please contact me. If you are going to have the car shipped I can assist in meeting the shipper / truck when they get close to my house. I have sold cars on ebay before and everything has always gone smooth. Check my feedback. If you have any questions let me know. Serious only please :) Thanks and good luck. |

Jaguar hints at what might become of XK after F-Type's arrival
Wed, 02 Jan 2013Jaguar may move the company's XK further upmarket following the introduction of its forthcoming F-Type. The newcomer to the range easily shoulders the burden of carrying the Jaguar sportscar mantle, freeing up the XK to evolve in another direction. While speaking with Autocar, Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum said there's an opportunity to grow the grand tourer both in size and luxury.
Whether that means the vehicle will retain its two-plus-two seating configuration or swell to offer buyers even more space remains to be seen. Either way, the future will likely see the XK soften its claws moving forward. And that's no bad thing. Jaguar has a long history of building luxurious grand tourers more content to soak up miles of highway than bounce from apex to apex.
What else is in store for the brand? Callum seems to have kept his cards close to his chest, refusing to acknowledge ongoing rumors of a Jaguar crossover beyond saying the brand "had to take notice" of the popularity of the luxury SUV market.
Jaguar E-Pace has an F-Type-inspired interior
Fri, Jun 16 2017Jaguar continues to test its new small crossover, tentatively dubbed E-Pace, and that means our spy photographers continue to capture it in the wild. This time, we got some photos of the interior. From what we can see, it follows in the footsteps of the the F-Type sports car, rather than Jaguar's sedans and larger F-Pace crossover. From the air vents down, the center stack gently slopes toward the shifter. It also has a large grab handle on the passenger side like that in the F-Type. This also makes the center stack feel more driver-centric. The shifter is also F-Type-inspired. While the Jaguar sedans and the F-Pace use a motorized dial that rises from the center console for shifting, the F-Type uses a conventional lever, as does this E-Pace. These interior design choices seem to indicate that Jaguar will market this E-Pace as being a sportier Jaguar than its existing lineup. Our spy photographer also caught this E-Pace prototype with the hatch up. This clearly shows that the E-Pace will have a radically raked rear window. Matched with the voluptuous rear fenders, the E-Pace should have a very aggressive look. As a side note, the open hatch also reveals that there are at least one or two members of the Jaguar team that like Budweiser. We still expect a reasonably long wait until the E-Pace makes its full debut, likely sometime next year at the earliest. We're also expecting the crossover to have a front-wheel-drive-based all-wheel-drive system like the Range Rover Evoque, and it may even use the Evoque platform. While not a bad platform or drive system, most any car enthusiast or journalist would agree that a rear-wheel drive platform would be more naturally sporty and in keeping with this car's interior and possible marketing. 2017 Jaguar XE First Drive
Wed, Jan 28 2015For the first time in decades, the prize for the best-driving compact luxury sport sedan is very much up for grabs. BMW's 3 Series, the segment's longstanding archetype, has grown a bit soft, distant and pricy. Its Japanese rival from Infiniti, the Q50, lost the plot thanks to its video game steering and dated powerplant. The Audi A4 is due for replacement and the fantastic Mercedes-Benz C-Class skews luxury over sport. The Cadillac ATS? With an excellent chassis hobbled by middling powertrains and the devil's own infotainment system, it isn't selling. Unlikely as it sounds, the Lexus IS is probably the segment's best driver, but you've got to learn to love those turn-to-stone looks. So, where's a segment malcontent to look? Provided he or she is patient enough to wait for this car's spring 2016 arrival, allow us to recommend the 2017 Jaguar XE. Let's be honest. Jaguar really needed to come out with guns blazing. The last time the British brand battled in the compact premium sport sedan segment, its much-maligned X-Type slinked into the underbrush, tail between its legs after just a single generation. While the X was in some ways a better car than history will begrudge it, there's no getting around that Jaguar brought a front-wheel-drive-based knife to a rear-wheel-drive gun fight. This new XE will need to be a very different kitty, and it is. Internally known as X760, Jag's latest rides atop an all-new aluminum-intensive modular architecture wearing a handsome mosaic of aluminum and steel body panels. While the XE's design has struck us as very familiar since it first bowed in September, it's an attractive shape. Its longish, 111.6-inch wheelbase and wheels-at-the-corner stance gives the design a planted look emphasized by its wide rectangular grille and prominent lower air intakes. Jaguar claims a super-slick .26 coefficient of drag, but that's the skinny-tired overseas base model that we'll never see – ours will likely ring up a few hundredths higher. The aluminum body-in-white is itself an impressive piece of work, weighing just over 550 pounds. Vehicle engineering manager Jonathan Darlington says it's 20-percent stiffer torsionally than the XF, and "the lightest in the sector by far." What's more, the chassis incorporates liberal amounts of recycled aluminum (a claimed world first) and increased use of structural adhesives.
