For sale is a 2000 Jaguar XJ8 L with just 75 thousand miles! This car is ready for the road, with absolutely no known issues. IT CLEARLY WAS IN A GARAGE AND TAKEN CARE OF FOR 15 YEARS! The Exterior: The silver paint is in superb condition. One must inspect very closely to find imperfections in the paint. There is a very nice, narrow, blue pin stripe down the side of the vehicle. The tires ALL MATCH and easily have more than 75% tread remaining. Breaks/Shocks feel solid and have no reason or need to be replaced. Even the radio antenna extends and retracts as it should. The Interior: First of all, is ROOMY! If you've never seen the back seat of the "L" models, you know how much room there is. The Gray Leather is in excellent shape. There are absolutely no rips, tears, or other major blemishes in the leather. All power options (windows, locks, seats, mirrors) work as they should. Vehicle has the CD changer in the trunk. A/C is ice, ice cold. How it Drives: As you would expect from the previous descriptions, it drives unbelievably. Drives straight down the road with no hands. Jaguar hints at what might become of XK after F-Type's arrival
Wed, 02 Jan 2013Jaguar may move the company's XK further upmarket following the introduction of its forthcoming F-Type. The newcomer to the range easily shoulders the burden of carrying the Jaguar sportscar mantle, freeing up the XK to evolve in another direction. While speaking with Autocar, Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum said there's an opportunity to grow the grand tourer both in size and luxury.
Whether that means the vehicle will retain its two-plus-two seating configuration or swell to offer buyers even more space remains to be seen. Either way, the future will likely see the XK soften its claws moving forward. And that's no bad thing. Jaguar has a long history of building luxurious grand tourers more content to soak up miles of highway than bounce from apex to apex.
What else is in store for the brand? Callum seems to have kept his cards close to his chest, refusing to acknowledge ongoing rumors of a Jaguar crossover beyond saying the brand "had to take notice" of the popularity of the luxury SUV market.
Jaguar F-Type Project 7 leaks in production trim ahead of Goodwood debut
Tue, 24 Jun 2014Just yesterday we brought you word that Jaguar was planning to bring something special to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year - the first product of its Special Operations division - and now we have it right here.
Previewed in concept form last year, Jaguar's big reveal appears to be the production version of the Project 7 show car - an extreme speedster version of the F-Type. Though we still don't have official details, these images leaked courtesy of 4WheelsNews show that the roadster seems to have lost little in the transition from concept to reality.
The bright blue paint job has been replaced by a more British shade of green, but the white trim - including the racing stripes running across (not up) the hood, the grille surround and the number circle on the door - appear to have carried over. As has the D-Type-inspired, fin-like, single raised cowling on the rear deck, though now positioned behind the left-hand driver's seat instead of the right. The wheels are fresh and the front lip spoiler looks even bigger, and the rear wing appears to have been reshaped.
Ferrari exec to lead Jaguar North America
Tue, 06 Aug 2013Jaguar has announced that Jeff Curry will be serving as the brand's new North American vice president, effective August 13. The move is a coup for Jag, which lured Curry away from his previous posting as VP of marketing for Ferrari North America, and is further evidence of just how strong Jaguar's comeback has gotten.
Curry has spent over 20 years in the auto industry, and has worked with Audi, SiriusXM and Land Rover, where he made his start in the industry. His primary responsibilities with Jaguar will cover marketing communications, customer relationship management, and product planning.
Jaguar Land Rover's North American president, Andy Goss, heaped praise on the brand's newest addition saying, "Jeff brings with him extensive automotive and luxury marketing experience, critical expertise in leading-edge technologies and a personal passion for automobiles."
