Hello and thanks for stopping to check out our 1985 Jaguar XJS 3.6 Koenig! This car has the following options: 33,310 ACTUAL MILES! VIN: SAJJNAEC8CC118917 300H.P. Custom-built DOHC 6-Cylinder 5-Speed Transmission Power Steering and Brakes AM/FM/CD Stereo Leather Seats Air Conditioning Leather Interior Cruise Control Power Windows/Locks Remote Mirrors Custom BBS Wheels This is a unique Jaguar XJS 3.6 Koenig Special! This is a collector’s dream! It was built in Germany and purchased off the floor of the Frankfort auto show. This is one of four built in 1985. It has a specially modified DOHC 24-valve engine, bored with racing pistons, high-performance fuel injection system, and performance suspension. It comes with copies of all original paperwork, including the import customs stuff. This car is in beautiful, original condition. We are a wholesale dealer in Cleveland and we bought this car, along with two others, from a gentleman who was selling his dad’s cars because he was no longer able to take care of them because he went into a nursing home. He bought this car in 1999 as an investment. He only drove the car up and down the driveway for 14 years. The man put less than 100 miles on the car over the entire time he owned it. This is a rare, impeccably clean, sports car. William Koenig, over an 8 or 9-year run, built only 20 or 30 of these cars. I don’t know if the average person could ever find another one for sale again. Today, you have an opportunity to buy this one. It’s being sold no-reserve, which means the highest bidder will win this beautiful, unique, custom sports car. The 33K actual miles that are on this car were put on in the first 14 years of its life. After we bought it, we took it to a shop and had it inspected. We had a new fuel pump put on, and now, it’s ready to go! We invite serious bidders to come in and check it out in person, if possible. Note: The VIN above is correct. The title can be seen in the pics at the link below, as well. Click on the link below to see more pictures of this custom classic Jaguar!! http://s1278.photobucket.com/user/RitaAutoSales/slideshow/1985JaguarKoenig The car must be paid for within 48 hours after the end of the auction in cash or by wire transfer!! This is an as-is vehicle, which means that once you buy it, you own it with all faults (known or unknown). This is a no-reserve auction, which means that the last highest bidder when the auction is over will win the car. Every time you bid on the car keep in mind that you have an opportunity to be the owner, so your bid means something. We encourage all bidders to stop out, personally examine the car and drive it for themselves. If you can’t personally make it out to check out this vehicle, simply find a local mechanic to look at the vehicle and give you a personal report on the condition. We need the car paid for within 48 hours, as stated above, either by cash or wire transfer, after the auction is over. We would like the car picked up from our lot within 7 days of auction ending. There will be a $100 paperwork fee added on to the final sale price of the vehicle. If you need a 30-day tag, it’s $18.50. We handle the transfer of the title. We will also have to collect the tax for your county if you live in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina or Washington. We will not pay any shipping fees, but we would be glad to assist your shipper in picking up your vehicle. If you have any questions, call Stan at 216-598-7011. Good luck bidding! |

1955 Jaguar D-Type that won Le Mans sets $21.78 million record price at auction
Sun, Aug 21 2016There's simply no denying that the Jaguar D-Type is one of the most noteworthy race cars ever devised. Jaguar pioneered the use of the monocoque chassis design, and D-Types won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1955, 1956, and 1957. And with its bodywork pulled taught over the wheels, engine, and passenger compartment, not to mention the massive fin behind the driver's headrest, the D-Type also one of the most stunning. The car you see above, Jaguar D-Type chassis number XKD 501, won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1956, narrowly defeating a team from Aston Martin. Along the way, this D-Type completed 2,507.19 miles at an average speed of 104.47 miles per hour, and a maximum speed of 156.868 mph on the Mulsanne Straight. It was entered by the non-factory team Ecurie Ecosse, and therefore painted in the team's traditional Scottish blue with a white cross. That kind of provenance, coupled with its pristine original race-winning condition, makes XKD 501 extremely valuable. In fact, it just sold at RM Sotheby's Monterey auction for $21.78 million (a $19.8 million bid plus auction fees), making it the most expensive British automobile ever sold at auction. Take a gander at our high-res image gallery above to soak up all its low-slung goodness. Related Video:
Jaguar names its 3 Series-fighter XE, packs it with Ingenium engines
Tue, 04 Mar 2014Jaguar is committed to emerging from the fringes of the luxury car market and into the mainstream. Just take a look at where it was a couple of decades ago and where it is now: In the 1980s, it had essentially two product lines, the XJ sedan and XJ-S coupe/convertible), and now it's got the XK coupe and convertible, the XJ sedan, the XF sedan and wagon and the F-Type coupe and roadster. But it's not about to stop there.
Coventry knows that if it's going to take on the German and Japanese heavyweights, it's going to need a compact sports sedan, and it's not about to repeat the mistake that was the X-Type. To that end, it's long been rumored to be developing a rival to the likes of the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class - it just hasn't given us much to go on. But that changes right here and now.
At the Geneva Motor Show, Jaguar has confirmed the imminent arrival of its new sports sedan, and along with the teaser image above, has given us some juicy details. For one, it'll be called the XE - fitting nicely alongside its big brothers the XF and XJ in Jaguar's growing sedan lineup. For another, it'll hit markets overseas in 2015 and arrive here in the United States in 2016.
Is Jaguar testing an electrified XE?
Sun, Mar 22 2015Rumors about Jaguar Land Rover moving further into electrification for its models have been circulating for the last several months. Thanks to some new spy shots, there's even more evidence that the company could have a hybrid or electric model on the way. According to our spies, this rather innocuous looking XE was spied with a group of camouflaged XF and F-Pace prototypes in Spain. Everything about the luxury sedan looks fairly stock until you see the rear end. There, just under the taillight, is a circular blue badge with an "E" in it. That emblem and the vehicle being with other test cars hints at the possibility of Jaguar doing something electrified with the vehicle. Unfortunately, there are no other clues here to determine exactly what is happening underneath the skin. Jaguar Land Rover has been insinuating its intention to build greener models for a while. The company even founded an engineering center partially for them in 2013. A fully electric powertrain is reportedly under development to slot into the F-Pace and maybe also for a Land Rover. Meanwhile, Jag has a trademark on the name EV-Type. With these new photos, the signs of JLR's coming electrification continue to mount.
