Englishtown, New Jersey, United States
This is car for collector . I had old paint stripped to the metal and redone with complete house of kolor candy paint system . Base cinder red ,top coat pagan gold. All rust issues were removed at the same time including replacement of entire floor with custom made 12 gauge stainless steel panels and new carpets . There is new head gasket and rebuild under 100% supervision borg warner transmission. I toyed with interiors replacing everything with embossed leather -type western floral color saddle and black plus burgundy basket weave on the back seats . Like all car aficionados I spent enormous time getting it back in shape not mentioning money sufficient to buy new car . I must finally move on and pass this antic to someone who could appreciate owning British made jag and tolerate quirks related to 34 year old car . Runs and drive as it should . All belts ,fluids ,brakes ,hoses, battery are in excellent condition, no oil leaks or smoke . Buy only if you know what does it mean to maintain older cars . Driving experience is very comfortable for casual driver . Engine has no governor and spins up to 6000 RPM . Tires have 95 % life left - Goodyear tripletread specially selected for hydroplaning resistance and ice, snow traction. Whoever is interested in this car will get excellent deal considering I'm selling it for less than 1/3 of the value on insurance policy . These cars are very rare today in condition above junk .Typical situation are rusted through floor panels hidden under underbody coating - you won't find anything like that in my car . I recommend American Collectors Insurance - coverage similar or better than good new car policy at 160$ per year feel free to ask for more questions, , I have some flexibility regarding selling price. I really feel sorry that car so nice is sitting idle for years , buy it and you'll have excellent toy to play over the weekend |

2017 Jaguar electric SUV to draw stylistically from C-X75
Tue, Nov 17 2015Jaguar is gearing up to launch its first all-electric model. And given the direction the industry is going – to say nothing of previous reports – it should come as little surprise that it'll be an SUV. And though details are few and far between at this point, some information is beginning to surface. According to British publication Autocar, the forthcoming electric crossover will draw its stylistic inspiration from the C-X75 concept. For those who may not recall (or haven't seen the new Bond flick), the C-X75 was Jaguar's idea for a hybrid hypercar to compete with the likes of the McLaren P1, Porsche 918 Spyder, and LaFerrari. After initial plans for a turbine powertrain were scrapped in favor of a small twin-charged four-cylinder hybrid, plans for production were ultimately shelved. But the vehicle resurfaced for a starring role in the new 007 film Spectre. If the decision to put a defunct concept in a new movie struck you as odd, reports of the electric crossover's design direction may cast it in new light. By putting the C-X75's design in the public spotlight, Jaguar Land Rover could be preparing us for the SUV's arrival. But then that could prove entirely speculative at this point. The model is set to slot in, size-wise, beneath the new F-Pace, and join a new wave of electric crossovers coming to market. The Tesla Model X will be first when it launches next year, and Audi is expected to launch its Q6 E-Tron Quattro in 2018. The Jaguar could split the difference and surface as soon as 2017. Volvo is also tipped to be preparing an electric crossover based on the XC90 to follow in 2019 as well. It may be too early to speculate on the electric powertrain that will motivate the new Jaguar, tipped to be dubbed E-Pace. However reports that parent company Tata is developing lightweight electric in-wheel hub motors could give us an idea of the direction in which Jaguar could head. Expect it to borrow its aluminum platform from the XE and F-Pace, with production potentially to be undertaken by Magna Steyr in Austria. Of course, the E-Pace won't be the company's only EV. It has several prototypes in the works, and we can expect it to roll out additional production models in the coming year.
Jaguar's first ever production EV is finally here
Fri, Mar 2 2018Transcript: Jaguar goes all-electric with the production 2019 I-Pace. The 2019 Jaguar I-Pace has been revealed in Graz, Austria ahead of its public debut in Geneva. Originally revealed back in 2016 as a concept, the EV has been heavily influenced by the C-X75 supercar concept. The I-Pace is Jaguar’s first all-electric vehicle and will include a 90 kWh battery with a range of 240 miles. Jaguar says it can recharge to 80% in just 40 minutes on a 100-kW DC fast charger. The all-wheel-drive SUV has an output of 349 hp and 512 lb-ft of torque with the help of twin Jaguar-designed concentric motors. A Touch Pro Duo infotainment system comes standard and includes a 10-inch upper and a 5.5-inch lower touchscreen. The I-Pace software will also benefit from over-the-air updates. Pricing will be announced March 6th with U.S. customers receiving the I-Pace in the second half of 2018. Jaguar revealed their anticipated I-Pace EV in Austria, ahead of its public debut in Geneva. Stolen Jaguar E-Type reunited with owner after 46 years
Mon, 22 Sep 2014Barely six months into owning it, Ivan Schneider had his Jaguar E-Type stolen from outside of his Manhattan apartment in 1968. Now, 46 years later, the somewhat beat-up convertible has been recovered just before it was about to be shipped to a new owner in The Netherlands.
US Customs agents at the Port of Los Angeles found the car during a routine check, and they contacted Schneider to arrange returning it to him. When the feds found it, the E-Type was already in a shipping container ready to go to its new owner. The condition is hardly perfect today, including rough paint and a replacement door, but Schneider is ecstatic to get his classic back.
Understandably, the now 82-year-old never thought he would see his droptop Jaguar again. Schneider told the LA Times that he bought the E-Type for $5,000 after winning a case as a lawyer, and it was originally painted gray. Now, he plans to have to have the vintage convertible restored to its former glory in New York.
