This is a 1986 Jaguar Vanden Plas with 73,415 original miles

-Two owner California car

-Above average auto check score (similar vehicles have a score of 36-62 this car scores a 65) Report available upon request

-Completely rust free with the exception of the imperfections under the front and rear windows (see pics)

-Runs and drives extremely well

-The transmission shifts on time

-The brakes ,steering and suspension are in good working order

-All mechanical, electrical and climate control systems were in good working order when tested

-Cold air conditioning

-Power windows and sunroof operate correctly

-The car runs on one tank only, the passenger side tank was removed and is in the trunk (needs replacement)

Cosmetically the car is in above average condition

-No accidents

-Nice original paint with a lovely patina, minimal nicks, chips, dings, scratches, etc.

-No major dents

The interior is gorgeous

-All original leather is in stunning condition

-Nice carpeting, door panels, headliner and carpeting

-Beautiful wood throughout

Misc:

-Nice polished wheels have some minor imperfections

-Tires are old and hold air, however they will need to be replaced

-Two small dents on grille

Overall this is a nice original and low mileage California survivor. With some minimal TLC this car can be amazing. It has good bones and is very attractive.

Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee season 2 opens with Sarah Silverman and Jag E-Type

Season Two of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee kicked this week in style. How much more style is there to be had than in a 1969 Jaguar XKE, after all? This time around, Seinfeld and Sarah Silverman spend some time driving around in the "slinky, sexy" Jag, talking comedy and then grabbing breakfast.
In addition to the kickoff of the show's second season, this episode also represents the start of a 24-episode sponsorship with Acura. The original deal promised short ads at the beginning and end of each episode, but this time around, Seinfeld "stumbles upon" a 2014 Acura RLX, which is obviously - and admittedly - the work of product integration. Jaguar Land Rover to badge vehicles based on horsepower

Add Jaguar and Land Rover to the list of automakers changing their nomenclature due to the realities of engine downsizing. Spy photos of an unreleased Jaguar F-Type model show a badge reading P380 AWD. The letter P evidently refers to Petrol (British for gasoline), and 380 is the engine's horsepower. According to Auto Express, the entry-level F-Type will be badged P300, indicating the power output of its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Land Rover is expected to follow suit with the new badging nomenclature. Diesel models will get a D instead of a P, while electric and hybrid models will get an E badge, along with a number corresponding to total system power. So, expect the I-Pace to sport an E400 badge on its hind end. One question we have, though, is how the disparity between mechanical, metric and imperial horsepower will be dealt with. While such power-specific badges are arguably unnecessary, we expect the trend to proliferate as engines continue to get smaller but turbocharging and electrification keep horsepower climbing. At least JLR's badges are easier to understand than the messy way Audi plans to rename its models or the way BMW completely dismisses actual engine size in its naming convention. Jaguar Land Rover creates new Special Operations division for halo vehicles, bespoke commissions

Jaguar Land Rover has announced that a new division of the British manufacturer will be dedicated to "bespoke commissions," as well as heritage products and apparel. Oh, and the new Special Operations division will also be behind JLR's halo cars from now on.
It's that last one that is the most tantalizing, as the last real halo product to see production from Jaguar was the XJ220. The Range Rover, meanwhile, has always had its own kind of halo reputation, although the Land Rover brand itself has never really gotten into the game with a dedicated model.
According to JLR, the new halo models will focus on ultra-high performance and luxury with a limited run of vehicles. The bespoke models, meanwhile, will give the wealthiest customers full sway over how vehicles are outfitted, with unique paints, trims and other accessories. The new SpecOps division will be run by John Edwards.
