You are looking at a beautiful, 1985 Jaguar XJ6. This vehicle has been garage kept for the entirety of its life. The burgundy roof and pin-striping is custom. The interior has special non-stock wood-grain inserts and beautiful leather padding. The engine is a DOHC 4.6L V8, the same motor used in Saleen mustangs. It also has an automatic 5-speed transmission from a mustang. Though not the usual setup for these Jaguars, the work seems to be professionally done and does not look like a typical swap.

The car runs and drives flawlessly, very powerful and smooth to drive. The 11,095 miles are original and the odometer has not been lapsed or reset. The condition of the car is basically mint condition. There is a very small oil leak. The trunk has no floor mat and and the black panel is where the battery is located. The paneling where the hood-latch is on the driver's side is hanging a bit. Other than that, this car is immaculate.

The wheels and tires are in great shape with 95%+ tread life remaining on the white-walls. The handling is smooth and it drives like any other luxury automobile should. Definitely a rare vehicle with very minor work needed. Also, there is a replacement headlight for the non-yellow front light that is pictured.

Contact us with any other questions and we will answer to the best of our abilities.

All vehicles are for sale at our store locations and can be sold before the end of auction. The current highest bidder will be notified if this is to occur.

Thank you, and happy bidding!

2018 Jaguar XJ stars in 'Game of Drones'

Mon, Sep 18 2017

Looking for a fun way to put the its 2018 XJ in the spotlight, Jaguar turned to a fresh form of racing. The automaker placed three of the long-wheelbase XJL models in a studio, and surrounded them with illuminated, door-shaped gates. Then Jaguar brought in a pair of professional drone racers to compete in the glowing circuit, which includes pass-through of the rear of the XJL cabins. The drone pilots, donning VR headsets, sat in the rear of the 575-horsepower version of the XJL, the Jaguar XJR575, and launched the drones from the trunk of the car. They raced the drones through the gates and through the cars at speeds of up to 60 miles per hour. "The course was a great test, but the fact we were able to go at such speeds proves how much space the doors of the Jaguar XJL gave us," said the winning drone pilot, Brett Collis. "Despite having to fly through the cabin, we were still pushing the drones to their top speeds." The "Game of Drones," as Jaguar dubbed the race, took place at Alexandra Palace in London, but the automaker is bringing similar experiences to more locations. Jaguar plans to go on an "Art of Performance Tour," where it will bring drone and Smart Cone driving challenges to the public, free of charge.

First Ride: 2014 Jaguar F-Type [w/video]

Shotgun In Coventry's First Sports Car In Decades
For every car, there is a passionate group of fans who love it, and the F-Type already has a few million rabid followers. These are fabulous things, sports cars, and we're very happy that Jaguar is making one again. Finally. (Before you start relishing the prospect of correcting us, the XK is really a grand tourer, not a sports car.)
The main question, however, will be whether someone in a position to buy a lifestyle-enhancing yet impractical F-Type will do so in the face of more established competitors from Porsche, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW. The last time Jaguar built a true two-seater sports car (1974 E-Type; the last of the XJ220 limited run in 1994 doesn't count in this league), most of today's new buyers were too young or may not yet have been born. At any rate, the F-Type has a lot of work to do for the brand beyond just selling itself.

Jaguar Land Rover creates new Special Operations division for halo vehicles, bespoke commissions

Fri, 13 Jun 2014

Jaguar Land Rover has announced that a new division of the British manufacturer will be dedicated to "bespoke commissions," as well as heritage products and apparel. Oh, and the new Special Operations division will also be behind JLR's halo cars from now on.
It's that last one that is the most tantalizing, as the last real halo product to see production from Jaguar was the XJ220. The Range Rover, meanwhile, has always had its own kind of halo reputation, although the Land Rover brand itself has never really gotten into the game with a dedicated model.
According to JLR, the new halo models will focus on ultra-high performance and luxury with a limited run of vehicles. The bespoke models, meanwhile, will give the wealthiest customers full sway over how vehicles are outfitted, with unique paints, trims and other accessories. The new SpecOps division will be run by John Edwards.
