2009 Jaguar Xf Supercharged Sedan 4-door 4.2l Serious Offers Only!!!!! on 2040-cars
Brooklyn, New York, United States
Beautiful quick 2009 Jaguar XF SUPERCHARGED - gorgeous cream color with tan leather interior and brown aluminum accents. Luxury meets quick sports car. Love this car....bought it after Hurricane Sandy as a treat to me...so why am I selling it? Well my Dad passed away thanks to Sandy just recently, he bought a brand new truck and drove it maybe 5 times so I decided to give up my Jag and take over his truck in his memory-- this car is a head turner - I get stopped in it all the time and when I pull into a parking lot people walking by stare and say 'what kind of car is that'.
I paid $34,000 for it November 2012 and have adjusted the price due to a dashboard issue--the dash leather is separated by windshield and sun is making it lift you can see it in a few pics--I bought it that way and Jaguar gave me a price to replace entire dash of $3700 -- select warranty offered me $1000 "good faith" toward the repair) and I damaged the right rear wheel rim in the snow (replacement rim is roughly $320 found on ebay). Book value of car with this mileage and trim (SUPERCHARGED) is $33,000-- the supercharged model is hard to find and comes with bigger engine way more hp MY LOSS IS YOUR GAIN SELLING IT AS IS! MAKE OFFER! ALL REASONABLE OFFERS CONSIDERED!!! keep in mind I paid $34k for it 10 months ago and put $10,000 down so asking if I'd consider 25/26k is not considered 'reasonable' and carry a note so I want to pay off my note and get a little of my down payment back. ASK QUESTIONS! I have more pics but ebay only allows 24 - have pics of navigation, heated/air conditioned seat controls etc. Can take pics of engine. Ask questions text or call 917-710-6617 (if you call leave a message..... I'll call you back) |

Harry bravely drives Jaguar XJ-S V12 1,000 miles to Monaco
Thu, Jul 30 2015There are a great many cars we'd like to take on a transcontinental journey – especially across Europe. And a good portion of them would probably be grand tourers with twelve-cylinder engines. We're just not sure we'd be as brave as Harry Metcalfe, who drove his 1980 Jaguar XJ-S V12 from his home in the UK all the way down to Monaco. Don't get us wrong, the XJ-S looks like a rather comfortable ride, and with the V12 is surely both smooth and powerful. It's just that Jags didn't have the best reputation for reliability back then, and we'd have been at least a little worried that we wouldn't make it all the way across France on this trip. Nor are we sure we would have wanted to without air conditioning. The model in question, as you'll find out if you watch the video, is an early 1980 example, produced just before Jaguar updated the line with the High-Efficiency versions. As such, it's got a bit more power and shorter gearing than later models. The XJS (as it would later be labeled) would undergo a number of updates over the following years, and would stay on the market until 1996 when the XK came along to relieve it. By Harry's reckoning, his early XJ-S was every bit as good as the Porsche 928 and other front-engined GTs of the era, and would have been more fondly remembered if it hadn't had to live in the shadow of the E-Type that came before. You'll want to watch the 17-minute video of the journey, undertaken for a cover story to appear in the September issue of Octane, to see for yourself. Related Video:
Ian Callum wanted to call Jaguar's crossover X-Type [w/poll]
Thu, Jan 15 2015Jaguar raised some eyebrows when it announced that it would call its upcoming crossover F-Pace. But the British automaker didn't just pick the name out of a hat. Speaking with Auto Express, Jaguar's design director Ian Callum said the company entertained several possible nameplates for its first crossover, and that he personally advocated for resurrecting the name X-Type. The nameplate was, of course, previously used on the marque's entry-level sedan – the predecessor to the upcoming XE that was based on the front-drive platform of the Ford Mondeo and which was also offered with all-wheel drive. The connection with that much-maligned model is reportedly ultimately what dissuaded the company's marketing gurus from using the nameplate again, even if it might have been more suitable. Another nameplate Coventry reportedly considered was XQ, but the latter letter's use by rival Audi for its crossovers and by former sister company Aston Martin for its personalization range ruled the prospect out for the Leaping Cat marque. Auto Express notes a connection between the name F-Pace and Jaguar's 1960s ad campaign hailing its products as offering a combination of "Grace, Space and Pace." For his part, Callum didn't dismiss the possibility the slogan could could lead to additional models wearing similar nameplates like F-Grace or F-Space. What do you think – did Jaguar pick the right name for its first foray into the crossover market? Share your thoughts in Comments and cast your vote in our poll below.
2014 Jaguar F-Type V8 S [w/video]
Thu, 14 Nov 2013Withhold judgment on the world's greatest exhaust note until after you've heard the Jaguar F-Type V8 S (scroll down now for a sneak peek). Its cackle, boom and pop under deceleration will have you rifling through its glovebox looking for a tool to remove the stereo as an in-dash audio system.
Combining modern technology with age-old exhaust plumbing, Jaguar's British engineers have developed a way to propel spent combustion gases into the atmosphere in a manner that elevates the complete driving experience. At idle, it purrs. Under acceleration, it roars. During cruise, it soothes. Perhaps most compellingly, during deceleration, it titillates.
Thankfully, the newest two-place convertible from Jaguar isn't only defined by its mesmerizing soundtrack - the F-Type would be an impressive sports car even if the world went silent.
