2009 Jaguar Xf Supercharged Sedan 4-door 4.2l on 2040-cars
Broadway, North Carolina, United States
Not only is this a superb example of the Jaguar XF-SC, this vehicle has had all maintenance done at the dealer and Flying Circus English Motorcars in Durham NC. Recently the Supercharger Cooling Hoses between the engine and supercharger were replaced (a $2200 job which required the supercharger to be removed from the engine and all of the hoses and internal components to be replaced) which is a common issue with the Jaguar 4.2L engine. It's not an issue anymore!!!!!! Also, the last service performed replaced the rotating air vents in the center counsel, replacement of the rear driver side differential output shaft seal, transmission cooler lines, and windshield wiper hoses along with general 80k service. This vehicle is in pristine shape and I am willing to let it go for a bargain because I am leaving overseas on deployment and I don't get back for 6 months. All tires are brand new including the spare (BRAND NEW!!!!!!!!- less than 500 miles!!!!) (~$1000), all brand new R1 Concepts Cross-Drilled and Slotted Ceramic Brakes (~$600) installed with a brake bleed (~$150) at the dealer (less than 1000 miles on the new brakes). Lots of money spent on this car and it is in pristine shape as stated before. If you have any questions please let me know and I will answer ASAP!

Here's today's round of auto plant closures in response to coronavirus
Fri, Mar 20 2020More automakers have shuttered factories, as businesses everywhere work to slow the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus — and as the pandemic slows sales and disrupts parts supply chains. On Friday, the following closures were announced: • Volvo will close its factories in Sweden and the United States from March 26 to April 14. Volvo's U.S. facility, in Charleston, South Carolina, makes the S60 sedan. Its assembly plant in Torslanda, Sweden, turns out the XC90, SC60, and V90. Other Swedish facilities make engines and component parts. A Volvo factory in Ghent, Belgium, that builds the XC40 and V60 closed earlier this week and is expected to remain offline until April 6. Volvo's four factories in China have been reopened after a shutdown earlier this year. • Jaguar Land Rover announced that it will suspend production at its assembly plants in the UK over the coming week. The shutdown is expected to last until April 20. Elsewhere, production continues at the company's factories in India and Brazil, and JLR's joint-venture plant in China reopened at the end of February. • Bentley is closing its factory in Crewe, England, for four weeks, effective today. • Bugatti has put its atelier in Molsheim, France, on hiatus. No date was given for when assembly of its supercars might resume. • Mercedes-Benz on Monday will shut down its SUV factory in Alabama and its van assembly plant in South Carolina. Both will remain closed for a minimum of two weeks. Tesla yesterday revealed that it will suspend operations at its Fremont, California, vehicle assembly plant next week, on order from local officials there. Yesterday's factory closure announcements also included the U.S. assembly plants for Toyota (until April 6), Volkswagen (through March 29), Subaru (through March 29), and Hyundai (no time period specified). They join GM, Ford, Chrysler, Honda, Nissan, and Harley-Davidson, which earlier this week announced the suspension of production at their facilities. Jaguar Land Rover building new Special Vehicle Operations facility
Sun, 17 Aug 2014It's only been a couple of months since Jaguar Land Rover announced the formation of its new Special Operations division, and we've already seen a number of vehicles to come out of it. But now the British automaker has announced a new facility that will house its elite skunkworks department.
Set to be built at Prologis Park in Ryton, England, on the outskirts of Coventry, the new Special Vehicle Operations Technical Centre will encompass dedicated production lines, F1-style flexible workshops, a dedicated paint studio and VIP suite for commissioning bespoke projects. JLR will spend some $33 million on the facility that will be home to 150 specialists - 100 of them being new hires.
The first project which the Special Operations division is working on is the F-Type Project 7, but we've already seen more projects in the pipeline - including the upcoming Range Rover Sport SVR - and you can bet there'll be more. The revival of the Lightweight E-Type also falls under Special Operations, but is undertaken by the Jaguar Heritage department located nearby at Browns Lane.
