2005 Jaguar X-type Premium Sedan 4-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States
This 2005 Jaguar x-type (Real head turner!) is in Very Good Condition and includes both the Sport and Luxury Packages (rare) as well as coming with aftermarket two setting heated seats for the driver and passenger. The car was only used to drive from Angola, Indiana to Detroit, Michigan by a stewardess making her connecting flight for the first 90,000 miles of its life. It has always been garaged and has thorough record of its superb service history. Rodney @ ALFORD AUTOMOTIVE (260) 483-7424 said that, "The car is in spectacular mechanical condition..." and that "Its the finest example of the model that they have seen in their garage..." I've just had the oil changed and the vehicle detailed and there are no pending service issues or warning codes in the current CPU log. The body does show some signs of highway use which I've documented clearly in the photos. All features of the car work properly and the driving experience is safe and sound; car tracking strait even under hard acceleration and suspension and breaks feel great!
This Car is Beautiful to look at and Tons of Fun to Drive! it will make a perfect driver for beautiful summer road trips but gets around town just fine on any day in All Weather while still getting great gas mileage. I bought the car last fall and have decided to part ways with her because she reminds me of my ex & I really want a motorcycle right now. I am willing to entertain any fair offers on the car but please only serious buyers. Feel free to contact me via email (adambarlag@gmail.com) or give a call at 260 579-0686 and I will make myself available for further questions. Somebody out there is really going to fall in love with this car, just like my ex girlfriend did! Hahaha... but seriously, this is a wonderful car to drive and I'm going to miss her dearly! Buyer will be responsible for shipping and delivery arrangements. Payment can be made in cash in person or via Paypal if necessary but I am willing to work with a buyer. |

Jaguar SUV mule doing Ring testing in Evoque clothes
Mon, 28 Apr 2014Jaguar has moved its Range Rover Evoque-bodied tests of the production C-X17 Concept from icy streets to the legendary Nürburgring, as work continues on the brand's first SUV.
Really, there's not a great deal of new stuff here. Based on the number plates, this is a different vehicle from the one we saw back in March, which we originally identified as the upcoming replacement for the Land Rover Freelander/LR2. The details, though, appear largely the same. The biggest distinction we can see between the March tests and this are the US-spec headlights, which add amber reflectors at their sides. Based on these shots, it does seem as if the C-X17 should be a fairly poised road vehicle, as the engineers hustle it around the 'Ring.
Of course, as soon our spies can capture images of a production-bodied C-X17, we'll be sure to pass those on to you. Until then, take a look up top for images of the Range Rover-bodied Jaguar as it tests at Germany's Nürburgring. You can also scroll down for our March images for the C-X17 mules testing on public roads.
Jaguar buys world's largest collection of British cars
Mon, 28 Jul 2014Whether you're looking at Bertone going bankrupt or Spyker facing (and subsequently resolving) a large tax bill, it's saddening to see an automaker having to sell off its factory collection. That's why we're glad to report that there are still some acquiring historic vehicles from their pasts. Like Jaguar, which has just bought the largest private collection of classic British cars in the world.
The collection of 543 cars was painstakingly assembled by one James Hull, a British dentist with some 50 dental clinics to his name across the UK and who was keen to find the right buyer to take possession of his life's work and preserve it for years to come.
Of those 543 cars, the majority are of British origin, including over 130 Jaguars. The collection includes seven XK120s, several C- and D-Types, a rare XKSS, eight E-Types, thirty Mark-series Jaguar sedans, nineteen XJS coupes and convertibles, some twenty XJ sedans as well as some pre-war SS models and Swallow sidecars and coachbuilt specials from the company's early days. Among the many noteworthy examples are a rare SS100, an alloy-bodied XK120 and an MK X owned by company founder Sir William Lyons himself, as well as Winston Churchill's Austin, Elton John's Bentley, and racing driver and motorcycle rider Mike Hailwood's E-Type.
Jaguar Land Rover rescues British off-road tuner Bowler
Wed, Dec 18 2019Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicles Operation (SVO) rescued British off-road tuner Bowler from an uncertain fate. The firm has worked with Land Rover in the past, but it has always been independent. While JLR isn't in an ideal position to make acquisitions, and its recent financial troubles are well documented, Bowler was on the brink of shutting down. The small, 34-year old company had entered administration, and the 26 people it employed risked losing their jobs. Monetary details haven't been released, meaning we don't know how much Bowler was worth, but the firm pointed out it's now fully owned by SVO. It joins SV, Vehicle Personalization, and Classic as the division's fourth pillar. It's too early to tell precisely where Bowler will fit in the JLR latticework, because the initial focus will be on stabilizing the company. It will remain based in Belper, England, and every member of its full-time staff has been offered a position as a JLR employee. Bowler made a name for itself by turning the original Defender into a rally car, and Land Rover said the expertise it acquired during decades of racing is highly sought after, so that's a hint we'll see more hardcore models developed jointly by the two companies sooner or later. The new Defender would lend itself well to the Bowler treatment. The Bowler name could replace the SVX nameplate used on the stillborn, V8-powered Discovery, for example. The tuner's focus on off-pavement performance means we're unlikely to see a Bowler-badged Jaguar, but anything is possible as global demand for SUVs (especially quick ones) continues to rise. What's certain is that, once Bowler is stable, it will grow bigger.
