If you have been wanting a VERY nice Jaguar S-type and
would love to have the much more desireable 4.0 V-8 model then you are going to LOVE my 2001 model that is just plain
beautiful inside and out! You need to see this one in person to appreciate how well cared for and clean it is. It
looks like a 2010 model car, it's that nice in person. It was owned by an oler man who lived in one of our retirement
villages here in Ft. Myers Florida. He kept it registered in his home state of Delaware but it has been here in his
garage in Florida and it shows, there is no rust at all, the paint is all original and the underside is nice and
clean with no corrosion. It received a great Autocheck score of 83 points out of an average rating of between 49-73
points for these cars so you know it has a great history as well. The exterior again is all original and what a
beautiful color with a deep Jaguar shine with no dents, scrapes, fade or rust. The factory aluminum wheels shine like
new with no corrosion and the tires are new to help give it a smooth and quiet ride. Look close at the pictures, this
is a beautiful Jaguar. The interior too is in excellent condition and this is a non-smoker's car so it is nice and
fresh inside with no stains or rips. The heated leather seats look great and are very comfortable and the rear seat
looks like it has never been used! All the power options work great including the power sunroof, air conditioning and
6-cd stereo with cassette that sounds wonderful and there are NO service lights on! You can look around at all the
interior trim and just tell it has been very well cared for, it has a very classy look and feel to it. What a
pleasure to drive. The peppy V-8 (which is really a Lincoln engine, Ford ownes Jaguar) runs smooth as silk and should
with these low miles. It will deliver good gas mileage and is a much more desireable engine then the 3.0 V-6 engine.
The brakes are smooth as is the transmission and suspension with no shakes or rattles and again the tires are new. I
just had it looked over and it is in very nice shape and I am sure once you see and take it for a spin around the
block you are sure to fall in love. I can't imagine a classier car for the money or a better example of a 2001 S-type
Jaguar. I have the factory books and a key with remote. I have great feedback so you can be sure that this
vehicle will be just as nice as I am stating. Should you need help with shipping call me, if you decide to fly into
Ft.Myers to pick it up in person I will meet you at our local airport right here in town. I know buying a vehicle you
haven't driven is a little scary so I try to make it easy as well as fun!! As with all my vehicles, this one was
put through a safety check to be sure it is safe and road worthy. This includes an oil change and an inspection of
the brakes, belts, hoses, cooling system, fluid levels, etc. It's just one more thing I can do to make this a good
experience for you. I encourge you to call with any questions @ 239-872-5281. Thanks! ![]()

SOUTH WALES, U.K. — The invitation is last-minute and somewhat vague. The location, an off-road test area in South Wales known as Walter's Arena, sounds more Land Rover than Jaguar. It's also in five hours, and only a passenger seat tease is on offer. But a Jaguar rally car? Color me curious. First impressions don't disappoint. Basking at the entrance is NUB 120, so-named after its license plate and considered the most famous Jaguar XK120 of all. Built in 1950, it took three consecutive overall wins on the insanely arduous Alpine Rally. Driven by Jaguar dealer (and Olympic skier) Ian Appleyard and navigated by his wife Pat Lyons, daughter of Jaguar founder Sir William Lyons, this car helped demonstrate the power and durability of the legendary XK engine in the toughest possible test. Carrying its original paint and a few battle scars, I could stop right here. But its presence is simply justification for what's lurking a little deeper in the forest. That being an F-Type rally car. Which is exactly as wild as it sounds. Based on a regular 2.0-liter F-Type Convertible, the project riffs on Jaguar's little-known rally heritage and pending MY20 updates to the F-Type range. The 16-inch rally wheels, gravel tires, custom fabricated roll cage and hood-mounted spots are not adornments destined for any production F-Type. That said, it's clearly been built to do more than sit on an auto show plinth. This initially seems like the sort of thing that'd be an after-hours project by Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations department, the same guys who cooked up the Project 7 F-Type and XE SV Project 8 sedan. But there's something about the Below Zero Ice Driving branding on the support truck that rings a bell. SVO supplied the graphics and items like the F-Type GT4 carbon fiber door cards, but it turns out the actual build was outsourced to a specialist outfit. Their expertise is turning sports cars into rally machines, this following the FIA's ongoing efforts to revive the sport's sideways, rear-wheel drive traditions. See the Toyota GT86 CS-R3 and initiatives like the R-GT Cup, the latter popular with privateers in converted 911 GT3s and inspiring Porsche's recent toe-in-the-water Cayman GT4 Clubsport rally car. Then it clicks — the crew are from Tuthill Porsche, a celebrated restoration and race shop between London and Birmingham with a huge presence in historic competition. They also have a sideline running Swedish ice driving experiences in old Porsches.

The second half of the seventh and final season of Mad Men debuted this week, set to cap a run of public and critical acclaim. A decade's worth of interesting cars also made for good television, if you were paying attention. Vehicles didn't often steal the spotlight from Don, Betty, Roger, Joan and the gang, but they added meaningfully to the tone and beauty of the series. We sorted through the wheeled extras from Mad Men's archives, and choose some of our favorites to highlight. The list consists of cars that had at least a small impact on the plot of an episode, though certainly there are worthy gems hiding in just about every street and driving scene. Check out our subjective top five, and then let us know which of the Mad Men cars would be on your list. 1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille – Season 2 Don Draper's Cadillac Coupe DeVille, all 500 feet of it, shows up in a few seasons of the show, but it's the first appearance that sets the tone. A Cadillac salesman, cut from the same cloth as Draper, asks what Don drives right now. "A Dodge," Don admits. "Those are wonderful if you want to get somewhere," allows the salesman, "this is for when you've already arrived." For a man on the move up corporate and social ladders that's a powerful message, and a pitch-perfect car. 1961 Lincoln Continental – Season 3 The most stylish Lincoln Continental ever is perfect set dressing for the mod show, of course. Though it's interesting that the car isn't cast as dapper Draper's ride, but rather his father-in-law's. Grandpa Gene does what all great grandfathers are bound to: lets his granddaughter Sally drive the big Lincoln while he works the pedals. Generational bond secured, in fine fashion. When you go back through the first three seasons of the show, you'll notice that Continentals show up more than once, too. There's nothing quite like them to evoke the best of the early '60s. 1963 John Deere 110 – Season 3 The only non-standard passenger vehicle on the list, no self-respecting gearhead/Mad Men fan should quibble with the inclusion of the John Deere 110 riding mower. For starters, the Deere is lovely to look at; a miniature version of the American Heartland icon in its green and yellow duds. The 110 appears as if milled from a solid block of steel, just the opposite of today's sleek, plasticky lawn minders (we're scouring Craigslist for one to bring home). The John Deere also has dear ramifications to the plot, too.

We'd consider giving up vital organs for the opportunity to drive any number of vehicles on the Nürburgring: supercars, racecars, track cars, even hot hatches... but a station wagon? That might not seem like a top choice at first blush, but this is no ordinary wagon. This is the Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake.
Now if that name leaves you scratching your head, there are several good reasons for that - not least of which is the unfortunate reality that, unlike so many performance-oriented crossovers and sport-utes, the Sportbrake is not offered in North America. But suppose it were, or that weren't a factor. You'd likely still be left wondering how the name Jaguar ended up on a station wagon in the first place, and how that machine wound up bearing the letters R-S, the suffix affixed only to Coventry's most hardcore performance models.
Our brief story goes back a little over two years to when Jaguar revealed the XF Sportbrake at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, giving its mid-level sedan an elongated roof and added cargo capacity. The Sportbrake may not be the first wagon to wear the Leaping Cat badge, but following the lamentable X-Type Sportwagon, it could be argued that the XF is the first authentic Jag estate.
