You are looking at one of the most beautiful lipstick red E-Type Jaguar, V-12, Series III, Roadster in the Santa Barbara, CA area. This is not only my personal opinion. Whenever I cruise through our wine country or just around town, I always receive countless thumbs up and lots of very positive reactions and comments. People spontaneously take pictures and tell stories from the past when their parents or friends owned one of these perfectly designed cars.

I was able to buy this Jaguar E-Type, Roadster in the summer of 1996 from a photographer who used it primarily for staging and special photo shoots.

The odometer then read 34,000 miles. During my 17 years of proud ownership, I invested more than $75,000.00 (all documented) in keeping this car as sparkling and smooth running as it is today.

The complete body and motor work, including all 12 cylinders, was performed at 42,083 miles. Only Jaguar certified technicians worked on it and only Jaguar original parts were used.

Three years ago, it had a full body paint job in the same original color and just 2 weeks ago it was pampered with a special buff up.

I have always used this beauty as one of my 4 everyday cars, so mileage added up a little over time. These cars need to be driven in order to perform at their best.

The whitewall tires are brand new.

The black textile top and all black carpets were replaced and are in perfect condition.

The black leather interior shows very little wear.

The windshield was replaced three years ago because of some scratches.

It comes with a Pioneer premier sound system with 4 speakers.

It's needless to say: It is a no smoking, no pets car.

No smog check is necessary anymore.

This collector's item qualifies for collector's insurance which is only about $200.00 a year.

This baby has always been garaged and has only seen rain a few times.

Which is hotter, Lana Del Rey or the Jaguar F-Type?

Fri, 15 Feb 2013

Lana Del Rey's "Burning Desire" video, the first musical collaboration between Jaguar and its hired songstress, is half music video, half long-form lifestyle commercial for the 2014 F-Type. If you like Del Rey channeling glamorous fifties fame as she lays down vocals of sensuous, languid dolor over images of black-and-white yesteryears, you'll like this song off of her new EP, Paradise.
We think the appearance of a red and brand-new Jaguar, though, is incongruous - either Del Rey or Jaguar is the anachronism, take your pic. That's not to say it's not beautiful, however, so enjoy the combination in the video below.

Jaguar gives us our best look yet at the XF Sportbrake wagon

Wed, May 17 2017

Not quite a month after the first official teaser, Jaguar has provided a much clearer look at the new XF Sportbrake. Instead of the overhead shot, we get to see front and sides almost completely unobscured. Almost. The official reveal isn't until June 14, so the car is still covered in camouflage. Since Jaguar will be the vehicle supplier for Wimbledon, and Andy Murray will reveal the car, Jaguar fitted a tennis-ball vinyl wrap. Despite the vinyl wrap, we can still get a pretty clear look at the car. Unsurprisingly, from the B-pillar forward, the XF Sportbrake is identical to its sedan counterpart. From the rear-door back, the roof is obviously extended, and the rear window's rounded corners lead us to believe the previous model's blacked-out D-Pillar has been ditched. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Jaguar also released a video about driving the XF to a remote Scottish tennis court. We don't particularly care about that, but the video does provide some brief glimpses of the Sportbrake's backside. From the looks of it, the taillights are the same between the sedan and the wagon. The rear bumper and exhaust treatment look very similar, too. As previously mentioned, the Sportbrake will be completely revealed on June 14, and the car will be available later this year – and in the US, as a Jaguar representative confirmed to Autoblog. So if you've been eying an F-Pace, maybe wait just a little longer to try out an XF wagon. Related Video:

Jaguar E-Type Zero electrics will enter production

Fri, Aug 24 2018

In case you thought the electric, future-proofed Jaguar E-Type Zero concept was merely a flight of fancy, Jaguar is about to prove it's far from that. The E-Type Zero is about to make production, at Jaguar's Classic division in Coventry, England. One of the core ideas with the electrified E-Type is that the new electric powertrain, picked from the I-Pace, takes up roughly the same space as the original XK straight-six engine and gearbox. Not only does this enable building new electric versions from reproduction shells, but it also allows for electric conversions of vintage E-Types, while weight distribution and handling remain close to the way the cars were originally designed — albeit with more power and torque. And the battery pack still wears XK badging to make it feel more at home in the E-Type. The automaker expects a driving range of over 170 miles. The E-Type Zero was originally unveiled a little less than a year ago, and at that point Jaguar remarked it was just a concept. Now things have progressed far enough for Jaguar to announce small-scale production at the same Coventry facility where Jaguar also builds as-new E-Type Reborn versions. In case a prospective client wants to electrify their old E-Type, that is also possible. And, as Jaguar says, the conversion is fully reversible, in case owners would want to revert back to that sweet straight-six sound. "We've been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to the Jaguar E-type Zero concept," said Jaguar Land Rover Classic Director Tim Hannig. "Future-proofing the enjoyment of classic car ownership is a major stepping stone for Jaguar Classic." The first production E-Type Zeros will reach customer hands in the summer of 2020, according to Jaguar. The newest concept version will be shown at California's Monterey Car Week. Related Video:
