Hey there jag dealers here is a good one ,this is a 1969 series 2 coupe with 4 speed and factory ac! Any one who knows these cars will tell you that the series 2 is the best all around e type ever made for daily use. The car runs and drives excellent and i drive it weekly or daily depending on the weather , this a very dependable car that can with stand the texas heat ! The car starts right up as soon as you hit the key and it shifts and stops extremely well , the motor is quiet and smoothe, it has had a new gas tank, and anything else it ever needed , the exhaust is correct and sounds great, the interior is very original and good but it is 44 years old , the seats are redone in vinyl but they look very correct in pattern , the car has a very presentable repaint , the chrome wheels appear new as do the tires, the ac is not blowing cold but it is totally complete and could be easily fixed it appears. The car has the earlier triple carburettor set up and that really makes a difference in performance and looks. the car has the series one knock off wheel spinners that look totally cool . this car was originally british green it appears if you look inside the dash but the car was disassembled when the color was changed and the firewall and all are red now . the plate that lists the motor and trans numbers is gone probably from when it was painted . This is a very beautiful jag and gets a lot of compliments and it is nicer then a lot of the cars i see on here that are advertised as excellent . If you ever wanted one to drive this is as good as it gets . I can help to get it shipped about anywhere on earth at your expense. any questions please call jay at 956 624 2669 I am going to sell this car and it should bring 30 to 35 grand from what i have seen but i am going to sell it so please bid to buy . thanks , ps have you seen what the e type jags have been doing at these live auctions lately? most are 50 grand on up .

40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax
Thu, 24 Jul 2014
The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
Jaguar Land Rover's InMotion takes a stab at carsharing
Wed, Apr 13 2016Jaguar Land Rover's new InMotion mobility business aims to capitalize on the growing carsharing boom and develop other forms of alternative transportation. The first pilot programs kick off in the coming months in North America, Europe, and Asia. JLR owns InMotion, but the company acts independently from the automaker. "As a start-up business, InMotion combines the flexibility and pace needed to compete in the ever-changing mobility sector. It allows us to react quickly to new tech and ever-changing customer demands," Adrian Hallmark, JLR's Group Strategy Director, said in a statement. The 30-person firm intends to develop its own answers to upcoming transport problems and also invest in entrepreneurs to develop those solutions. InMotion isn't yet providing many details about what projects the firm expects to tackle, but the Website mentions carsharing and on-demand delivery services. Establishing InMotion shows that JLR doesn't want to fall behind the current trends in the auto industry. Practically every major automaker is currently pursuing future transportation ideas. For example, Ford recently took a very similar approach when it spun off Smart Mobility into a separate startup. BMW also rebranded its DriveNow carsharing service into ReachNow to also add a future ridesharing service. 40th Jaguar E-Type ever made sells at auction for lb88k
Wed, 30 Oct 2013The 40th Jaguar E-Type ever built, a right-hand-drive 1961 model, hit the auction block and was bought by an anonymous British buyer for 88,000 pounds ($141,310), ITV reports. The Jaguar had been stored at the previous owner's estate, in dry storage, at a derelict farm in Le Mans, France since July 1974.
E-Type chassis No. 860040 was bought by the previous owner in 1969 and was originally gray. But it was driven home to France and painted it in its current aubergine in 1974, before it was put into storage. During that time it was considered missing by experts, but there it sat under a dust sheet car cover for most of its life, so the body is in good condition. The family mechanic said that the car was last started about five years ago, and the engine recently was turned over. Coys auction house describes the original interior, which is also preserved well, as a "time warp."
Chris Routledge of Coys before the auction said, "They're sort of a mythical beast for enthusiast, at the time they were all handmade on special order, so Jaguar collectors look at the first 100 cars in a different way," BBC News reports. He added, "We estimate it to be worth between 20,000 and 40,000 pounds (about $32,100 to $64,200) but our feedback from collectors and interest worldwide suggests it could sell for between 80,000 and 100,000 pounds (about $128,500 to $160,600)." Of course, his revised estimate was right on target.
