All rust was cut-out and replaced with new metal panels from Monocoque-Metalworks. The undercarriage was seam sealed, rust-proofed, and painted as the rest of the car. We performed a proper conversion to fit glass covered headlamps. Great attention was paid to having proper shut lines and even panel gaps. The complete restoration was photo documented. A new and complete black leather interior kit as original has been fitted. The interior was supplied by Original Specification Jaguar Interiors. "Dynamat" was used throughout the interior and trunk, as well as the original jute insulation, to keep the car quiet and comfortable. The convertible top frame has been restored and fitted with a new vinyl top. The top boot cover is also new. A stereo with IPOD & USB hook-ups has been installed. Original numbers matching Engine completely Rebuilt to the highest standards using genuine Jaguar parts. A new Alloy radiator filled with "Evans" waterless non-toxic coolant along with twin original cooling fans keeps this cat running cool and reliable. Original Transmission was completely overhauled as well as new clutch and hydraulics. This gearbox shifts smoothly and effortlessly. No noises or grinding. The overall driving experience is that of a new car. The front suspension components were all rebuilt using uprated parts such as poly-urethane bushings. All of the main suspension components were nickel plated as original for superior corossion protection and superior asthetic appeal. The front & rear brakes were completely overhauled. Once again the main components such as calipers and handbrakes were nickel plated. This Jaguar has been fitted with new brake master cylinder, servo assembly, and stainless brake lines. The rear suspension and differential have been overhauled, painted and detailed. The majority of the chrome plating was re-plated by Van Nuys Plating in California to the original Superior type Hexavalent Triple Chrome Plating. A few pieces were left original to preserve some patina. The wire wheels are brand new Chrome Rim/Stainless Spoke Dayton's. We chose a 15x6 "Center-Lace" wire wheel for better visual appeal and better handling 215/65-15 Pirelli P4 Tires. The story: We originally sold this car to one of our good customers back in the late eighties. We reacquired the Jag back in September 2013. We embarqued on the full restoration in-house. The Jaguar XJR-15 is a 215 mph, barely-legal road car that's for sale

Tue, Feb 7 2017

The late 1980s and early 1990s were awash with supercars from automakers across the globe. Classic Driver in the UK is selling one of the rarest of all of these supercars, the road-going racecar that is the Jaguar XJR-15. The XJR-15 is the lesser known sibling of the Jaguar XJ220. Only 27 were ever built. The XJ220 may not have received the same recognition and reverence as the Ferrari F40, the Porsche 959, and the McLaren F1, but for a time it held the record for the fastest road-going automobile, 217.1 mph. All of the XJ220's engineering and prowess is owed to the development of the XJR-15, which in turn owes everything to driver Tom Walkinshaw and his experience in touring and Le Mans racecars. Unlike the twin-turbocharged XJ220, the XJR-15 features a big, naturally-aspirated V12 that turned out 450 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine has a dry sump oil system, a Cosworth forged crankshaft, connecting rods, aluminum pistons, and fuel delivery from a Zytec electronically controlled sequential fuel injection system. The engine is mated to a five-speed transaxle from Tom Walkinshaw Racing, while the suspension - fabricated wishbones and horizontal pushrod-spring dampers at the front and coil springs at the rear - is pulled straight from the XJR-9 racecar. At the time, the car was capable of hitting 60 mph in under four seconds and topped out at 215 mph, just shy of the mark later set by the Jaguar XJ220. The XJR-15 was also the first road car to make extensive use of carbon fiber. In fact, at 2,315 lbs, the car's listed weight is less than that of a new ND Mazda Miata. The body was designed by future McLaren F1 engineer Peter Stevens. While the McLaren and Porsche were more complete and well rounded machines, the XJR-15 was a bare bones, uncompromised track machine. The interior was barely more than a carbon tub fitted with a pair of one-piece seats. The car in this listing is chassis number 21 and only has 1,400 miles on the odometer. Some minor modifications to the hinges allow the hood and engine cover to be quickly and easily opened. The car is listed for GBP450,000, or about $560,000. Not cheap, but what rare, early 1990s supercar is? Related Video: News Source: Classic Driver via Car Buzz Jaguar Coupe Performance ferrari f40 jaguar xj220

Jaguar XE to start at $35,895, XF at $52,895

Thu, Sep 3 2015

Jaguar has announced pricing for two of its most anticipated models, the new, entry-level XE sedan and the second-generation XF. The British marque also released price changes across its range and unveiled a new customer service pack called EliteCare. As you can see from the headline, the new XE starts at $35,895. That'll score you the base model, the so-called 25t, and its 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. That puts the baby Jag right in the meat of a very competitive segment. It'll be undercut by the Cadillac ATS, BMW 320i, and Acura TLX, but it's a good bit more affordable than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Infiniti Q50, or Lexus IS. If you like your fuel extra smelly and your torque to be offered by the bucket-full, be prepared to shell out $37,395. The 340-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged-V6-powered XE 35t will require at least $42,695. The XE's big brother, meanwhile, is subject to a significant price drop. The new base model, the 340-horsepower 35t, rings up at just $52,895, or over $5,200 less than the entry level V6-powered 2015 XF. Once again, Jag has parked itself in the middle of a popular segment, although unlike the XE, the vehicles that undercut the XF – the Infiniti Q70 and Acura RLX – are old or not particularly popular among consumers. That's good news for JLR, since the new sedan easily undercuts the BMW 5 Series and Audi A6, while sneaking in just below the likes of the Mercedes E-Class or Cadillac CTS. And if you're in mourning for the 2.0-liter, turbocharged XF, don't be – the new 35t is only $2,000 more expensive, is lighter, and has 100 more horsepower. Finally, we have Jaguar's new EliteCare program. Essentially, should you purchase anything from model year 2016 and beyond, your car will be subject to a limited warranty, free scheduled service, and 24/7 roadside assistance for five years or the first 60,000 miles of ownership. Owners will also have access to Jaguar's InControl Remote and Protect services for the first 60 months. According to the Brits, the warranty is the best in the class, while the free maintenance lasts longer than the competition. Read on for the full press release from Jaguar, which includes details and other small pricing tweaks for the company's range.

Jaguar launches the new E-Pace into a barrel roll | Autoblog Minute

Fri, Jul 14 2017

After months of testing – some of which we caught in spy photos – and a little teasing, Jaguar has officially entered the compact crossover space with the launch of the 2018 E-Pace. And it was a fairly grand entry, too.
