1969 Jaguar E type 2+2
This car started as a very low mile (7266 actual miles!) , solid driver that the previous owner drove for awhile
and then decided to go all out and have a frame off restoration done without regard to expense. It was born silver
with dark blue interior. Automatic with air conditioning. He had the car built for his wife and wanted it to be
more comfortable, ride and handle better, and be more reliable than factory. He also wanted to show it as well.
The restoration bills alone totaled over 100k! Every piece was touched!
The engine was swapped with a new ford crate 302 (the original matching numbers 6 come with). A new TCI ford
automatic with overdrive trans was installed (the original Matching numbers Jaguar automatic is included). The
rear end is the original but it was completely gone thru. Every area of the car was touched! It has an upgraded
aluminum radiator. Ice cold Vintage air system. Power steering and brakes. All that was done in the engine
compartment can be reversed to stock if you choose so. As it is right now, it fires up right away and cruises down
the road straight, you can run 80 with ease. No rattles whatsoever. As I said, the previous owner built it for his
wife so he wanted it to drive easy and be reliable. The car is very well sorted out.
The paint work was done by a high quality builder with a long standing reputation of building quality cars. It
is a very straight, but does have a couple chips around the edges of the rear boot. There has been a little over
5k miles put on the car since completion. It is a dark grayish- green color. I have paint for touch ups if the
new buyer needs The undercarriage is just as clean as the top. There was no undercoating applied. All the
chrome, glass, weather striping, etc was all redone. He chose to remove the front bumper corners but they are
included with the car as well.
The interior was completely reworked as well. The seats were recovered in leather over top the original frames.
The seats and headliner and absolutely beautiful. The console was reworked with built in speakers and a secret
audio unit. All gauges work. New Ron Francis wiring. They did replace the Jaguar speedometer and tachometer with
new, but the originals are included. The title states 7266 actual miles (see pic) and original speedometer
matches, however I am selling 7266 NON ACTUAL miles due to the fact that the speedometer was changed. The
aftermarket speedometer in it now shows the miles accumulated since the frame off which is just over 5000. This is
a common practice when classic cars are completely restored, I just like to keep things straight. One of the pics
is of the car prior to restoration. In hindsight, they would have been wise to not touch the car, keep as a very
low mileage survivor and save the over 100k they spent on the restoration, but this is where it is now. He just
wanted to start with the best car he could find to have his car built upon. The guy was extremely picky and
precise.
This is an stunning car. Upon inspection the high build cost is evident. I like to try to disclose all issues I
know of, so when the new owner comes to pick the car up there are no surprises. The few things I see are, the
couple chips in the paint as previously mentioned. These are not at all excessive, just what you would expect from
the limited usage the car has had since completion 5000 miles and 7 years ago. The passenger exterior door handle
sticks. I have not had it looked at yet. I feel a little hesitation going into overdrive. It does go, it just
seems to me it takes a sec longer than it should. This may be indicative of these transmissions when adding
overdrive, but I'm not sure, this is the first Ive owned with this kind of set up. I am a purist and all the cars
in my collection are bone stock. I thought of swapping the original engine and trans back, reinstalling the
original front bumper corners and speedometer and tachometer, but this car is way too nice to touch. I will be
more than happy to show the car to serious buyers and send any additional pics needed. I will also be happy to
discuss the car 317.667.6240.

Jaguar refreshes the 2018 F-Type lineup and adds a high-performance V6 model
Thu, Jan 12 2017Jaguar is giving the F-Type line a refresh for 2018 and adding two new variants. All new F-Types feature LED headlights and slightly darker taillights. Every model except the SVR also gets updated front bumpers. The most noticeable change is the side vents, which morph from the double slots to single openings in most cases. The F-Type R's large side vents are bisected horizontally. The two new F-Type models are the R Dynamic and the limited edition 400 Sport. The R Dynamic isn't particularly exciting, since it's pretty much just a dress-up package for the entry level 340- and 380-horsepower F-Types. All the model adds are 19- and 20-inch wheel options, as well gloss black-painted hood vents, splitter, side sills, and rear diffuser. The 400 Sport, on the other hand, comes with much more. It's only available for one year, and comes with a modified supercharged V6 producing 400 horsepower. The 400 Sport can be ordered with either rear- or all-wheel-drive, but the 8-speed automatic is the only available transmission. The car also benefits from larger 15-inch brakes at each corner. Owners of the 400 Sport can personalize their driving settings as well, thanks to the car's Configurable Dynamics system. Inside and out, the 400 Sport gets some visual upgrades, too. It includes the Sport Design Pack, which adds a deeper front spoiler, larger side sills, and a rear diffuser. A flat-bottom steering wheel, yellow contrast stitching, and black brushed aluminum accents finish off the interior. There are also plenty of 400 Sport badges on the car. View 12 Photos The two other major changes for the F-Type line involve infotainment. One of which is that every model now comes standard with Jaguar's Touch Pro infotainment system and its 8-inch touchscreen with which the driver can interact. The other is a cool new app the company developed with GoPro. It's called ReRun, and it allows the driver to connect a GoPro camera to the car, and download footage to the phone. The reason for connecting the camera to the car, is so that it can add telemetry data including speed, gear, g force, and steering and brake inputs to the video footage. After a spirited drive in the country or on a racetrack, the footage can be downloaded to the phone to be reviewed and shared. The app even generates "highlights" automatically. The new F-Type range will go on sale in the first quarter of 2017.
Jaguar Land Rover creates new Special Operations division for halo vehicles, bespoke commissions
Fri, 13 Jun 2014Jaguar Land Rover has announced that a new division of the British manufacturer will be dedicated to "bespoke commissions," as well as heritage products and apparel. Oh, and the new Special Operations division will also be behind JLR's halo cars from now on.
It's that last one that is the most tantalizing, as the last real halo product to see production from Jaguar was the XJ220. The Range Rover, meanwhile, has always had its own kind of halo reputation, although the Land Rover brand itself has never really gotten into the game with a dedicated model.
According to JLR, the new halo models will focus on ultra-high performance and luxury with a limited run of vehicles. The bespoke models, meanwhile, will give the wealthiest customers full sway over how vehicles are outfitted, with unique paints, trims and other accessories. The new SpecOps division will be run by John Edwards.
Jaguar F-Pace will debut in Frankfurt
Mon, Apr 6 2015Jaguar makes sports cars and it makes luxury sedans, but it is set to expand into new territory altogether at the Frankfurt Motor Show this coming September. That's where and when it will reveal the F-Pace, Jaguar's very first crossover, and the production version of the C-X17 concept pictured here. Developed with critical input from sister-company Land Rover, the Jaguar F-Pace is being billed as a "sports crossover," with a more on-road focus than the SUVs of its off-road counterpart. Expect a range of engines to draw principally off of the new Ingenium family of four-cylinder gasoline and diesel powerplants, capped by Jag's signature supercharged V6 – just like the new XE sedan with which it will share much of its underpinnings. We can always hope, though, for an even more potent SVR version to follow with the JLR's sensational 5.0-liter supercharged V8. The Frankfurt reveal will mark two years since the C-X17 concept was first presented at the same show in 2013. Its arrival, coupled to that of the aforementioned XE, promise to push Jaguar's global output up from around 80,000 units last year to more than 200,000 once both models hit their stride.
