1967 Jaguar E Type FHC 2 seat coupe. Opalecent silver grey with red leather interior. Grey headliner. Restored in 1997-2000. 8000 miles since. Engine rebuilt with new pistons, bearings, oil and water pumps, valves, guides, and springs, chains and guides and tensioner, surfaced flywheel and new diaphram clutch. Close ratio 4 speed gearbox received new bearings, synchro rings, and layshaft. Radiator got a heavy duty core replacement (Texas). Carbs were redone, fuel tank boiled out and sealed. Body shell needed one sill set (right) and the drop in pan. Trunk floor was replaced also. Original bonnet is lovely and clean in the nose area. Complete shell was repainted in correct opalecent silver grey. I changed the interior from black to red. The kit was provided by BAS. Complete brake system rebuild included new MC, rebuilt booster, Wildwood calipers on the front and steel flex hoses. The dunlop calipers are included. The original wheels just would not run straight or balance well so I replaced them with the triple laced MWS Dunlop reproductions which are much stronger and run true. Tires are Yokahama Avid tourings. I then drove the car for 8K miles over 11 years. Last year I did a refresh to upgrade the cars condition. Items replaced include: Coolcat fan, rear shocks, fuel pump, motor mounts, 8 vane water pump, front discs, expansion tank, all cooling hoses, all clamps for the hoses, polyurethane suspension bushings, engine compartment wiring harness, and the alternator wiring harness. Rebuilt items include: brake MC, booster (again), speedometer, water temp gauge, carbs (diaphrams), new clutch disc and throw out bearing ( not really needed but I had the unit out), replated all front suspension pieces and any part in the engine compartment that was originaly plated. This ran to about 350 items.
I run the car without the front bumpers because I like the look. They are included with the over-riders and the motif bar. The radio is a 3-band Blaupunkit (?) with separate power amp. Handbook is included. I have all the delivery documents that came with the car including the warranty card signed by the owner of Overseas Motors in Ft. Worth on February 17, 1967, the warranty service voucher book with the dealer stamps, the drivers handbook, lubrication chart, dealer list, and some others. Metalfacture jack, bag, and a very worn Thor hammer. The only item I don't have is the tool kit. I think the previous owner kept it even though I grilled him about it, but what can you do? The car runs great, engine is seamless, doesn't smoke, stays at 80 - 85 C, stops straight and well (for an E Type). It does drip a little oil - mostly from the engine and gearbox drain plugs when sitting. THE TERMS: Sale is final, no warranty, You would be wise to inspect this or any car you intend to purchase. A $500 deposit must be made to my Paypal account within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Balance can be wire transfer or cashiers check to my account. When my bank and I are both satisfied regarding the validity of the transfer, the car and the signed title will be released to you. Payment and pickup must be made within 7 days of the end of the auction locally. I will not deliver. The license plates and registration will be removed before transfer and are not included in the sale. I will assist in moving the car for loading at its place of storage. Please contact me for any further information or pictures of the Jag. Thanks. |

Jaguar XKSS tipped to be next continuation model
Mon, Feb 9 2015After the Jaguar F-Type Project Seven, Range Rover Sport SVR, and run of six continuation Lightweight E-Types, the Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations (SVO) division is plotting its next historic resurrection, and there's a chance it could be the Jaguar XKSS. That's the word from SVO head John Edwards to Dutch outlet Autovisie, but we need to emphasize the word "could," because the XKSS is one of about four finalists - a "major contender" - among a long list of 65 ideas for the Special Operations to devote itself to. Edwards said that SVO projects need to have some kind of story behind them, a qualification the XKSS doesn't lack. In the 1950s Jaguar raced the D-Type to three Le Mans wins among its list of victories, but retired as a factory team at the end of 1955. When Jaguar decided to turn 25 unused D-Type chassis' into road-going cars, the XKSS was created. The company built the 25, but a fire at the Browns Lane factory destroyed nine of them. It is those nine that will be in the continuation run, should the XKSS get the nod. Jaguar has already sold the six E-Type Lightweight models, each one for more a million pounds ($1.52M US). The XKSS could undoubtedly command even more, with its legendary roots; the 1956 model that Steve McQueen bought for $5,000 (and Jay Leno recently drove) is said to be worth thirty million. We have to think that even if the XKSS isn't chosen right now, it will certainly get the green light at some point. The 200-mph Jaguar F-Type SVR is coming to Geneva
Wed, Jan 27 2016Jaguar has good news for us: The new F-Type SVR will make its grand debut at March's Geneva Motor Show. Following up on leaked stats from last week, Jag confirms the hardtop F-Type SVR will be capable of hitting 200 miles per hour. The British brand doesn't go much further in confirming other details from last week's report, though. So even though the top end's extra 14 mph has to come from somewhere, we still can't be certain it'll be thanks to a reported 567 horsepower or 516 pound-feet of torque. Jag also won't yet confirm the reported claim of a 3.7-second sprint to 62 mph. What the company is saying, though, is that its first SVR-badged model will be "lighter, faster, and more powerful." JLR's Special Operations boss, John Edwards, calls the new SVR an "all-weather supercar." That lends credence to initial reports that the hottest F-Type will send its power to all four wheels. While the F-Type SVR will hit the Geneva stage on March 1, we won't be waiting that long for all the details – Jaguar will release a complete array of images and details on February 17. We'll have more then. 200MPH JAGUAR F-TYPE SVR TO MAKE GLOBAL DEBUT AT 2016 GENEVA MOTOR SHOW (MAHWAH, N.J.) – January 26, 2016 - The new 2017 Jaguar F-TYPE SVR will make its global debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show on March 1, 2016 and will go on sale in summer 2016. Capable of accelerating to 200mph, the new F-TYPE SVR is the first Jaguar to wear the SVR badge and is developed to exploit the two-seat aluminum sports car's full potential while retaining its day-to-day usability. Lighter, faster and more powerful, the new F-TYPE SVR takes performance, dynamics and driver involvement to a new level yet retains the comfort and duality of character inherent to all Jaguar cars. "The new F-TYPE SVR is the first series production Jaguar car to be developed by Special Vehicle Operations and benefits from everything we know about precision engineering, performance and design," said John Edwards, Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations. "The result is a 200mph, all-weather supercar that you can drive every day – we even made a Convertible version so that enthusiasts can revel in the sound from the new titanium exhaust system." The new F-TYPE SVR will join the 2017 Model Year F-TYPE Coupe and Convertible range comprising of the F-TYPE, F-TYPE Premium, F-TYPE S, F-TYPE British Design Edition and F-TYPE R.
Eagle Spyder GT is the roadster Jaguar E-Type of your dreams
Wed, Feb 17 2016Eagle, a British company that has specialized in restomodding classic Jags for over thirty years, has rolled out a new version of their modified E-Type called the Eagle Spyder GT. If you've heard of Eagle already, it's probably for its gorgeous Speedster. The company subsequently followed up with the fixed-roof Low Drag GT, inspired by the competition model Jaguar developed back in 1961 (and recently continued). The Spyder GT splits the difference, with a chopped and raked windscreen and a folding fabric roof mechanism. Like its stablemates, the Eagle Spyder GT wears bodywork painstakingly crafted entirely out of aluminum, with exquisite detailing. No wonder that, in reviewing it on Top Gear, Jeremy Clarkson said, "I think this, by a long way, is the most beautiful car I have ever seen. It might actually be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen." That's high praise indeed from a guy who's not known to shy away from speaking his mind. Unfortunately most of us will never find out, as Eagle only produces these special editions in very limited quantities and at very high cost. Each is custom-made to the owner's specifications, with the first example of the new Spyder GT to be delivered this summer. Related Video: X EAGLE E-TYPES ANNOUNCE THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME - THE EAGLE SPYDER GT In Brief: - Eagle announces the third in their trilogy of special edition Jaguar E-Types - the new Eagle Spyder GT. - The Spyder GT combines the style and dynamics of the celebrated Eagle Speedster with the high performance touring capability of the Eagle Low Drag GT- and incorporates a folding roof for practicality. - Completely bespoke with extensive customer options, the few produced will be the most exclusive hand built cars in the world. Eagle has focused for over thirty years to refine, develop and deliver exceptional engineering for the Jaguar E-Type while remaining true to the spirit of this extraordinary car. The Eagle E-Type has often been described as 'the finest hand-built car in the world' and the reaction of the world's press to the successive 'special edition' Jaguar E-Types developed in-house at Eagle has been rapturous. Leading the way was the Eagle Speedster, which was developed from a client request and then feted around the world.
