Up for sale 1999 ISUZU TROOPER LIMITED 4WD WITH a 3.5 LITER V6 MOTOR, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, 119000 miles, runs and drives good.
Engine is very good, no leaks, no loosing oil, always start and runs quiet, never had problem with transmission, but pan on transmission is wet, so probably losing some fluid, AC and Heat works great. Recently replaced Right CV Axle and added oil to rear differential. All electronic is working except CD changer, its stuck, also sometimes after cold start it has very high RPM, but when this happens, I just shut off the engine and start again, and after that RPM is normal. The main reason I am selling this truck, because it has humming sound when moving, I suspect its wheel bearing but I am not sure about this. I drove with this sound almost 1500 miles, but I think time to check what this is. Almost forgot to mention that windshield has crack, but I repaired it (added glue inside the crack), so you don’t need replace it, I drove almost six months now and no problem. Body is relatively OK, has scratches on hood, rear bumper little loose. It has remote starter, which is working, but remote lock/unlock doesn’t work for some reason. I am sure that I miss something in the description, but you are welcome inspect truck in person, it has NY inspection sticker to end of April 2014. There is no reserve, high bidder win, and full payment on pickup. Details: Automatic transmission, large power glass moonroof, leather seats, dual power seats, heated front seats, 6 CD changer, compass display with thermometer and barometer, premium alloy wheels, power folding side mirrors with chrome caps, heated side mirrors, power windows, split and folding rear seats, Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Tilt Steering Wheel, Clock, Tachometer, Power Steering, Power Locks, Anti-Lock Brakes, Fog Lights, Intermittent Wipers, Four Wheel Drive, Rear Defogger, Carpeted Floor Mats, Rear Wipers. |

Junkyard Gem: 1992 Geo Storm
Mon, May 15 2017GM's Geo brand existed from the 1989 through 1997 model years. While mostly remembered today for the Suzuki Cultus-based Metro (which continued to be sold with Chevrolet badging until 2001), there were also Geo Prizms (California-built Toyota Corollas), Geo Spectrums (Isuzu I-Mark), Geo Trackers (Suzuki Sidekick), and Geo Storms (Isuzu Impulse). Storms are very rare now, but I found this one in Colorado last week. The idea of the Geo brand was that it would lure young car buyers in a way that wouldn't be possible with stodgy brands such as Oldsmobile or Buick. While GM never sold as many Geos as hoped, enough hit American roads that they were pretty numerous for a while. 1980s-style pink-and-blue graphics remained relevant into the early 1990s. I'm not sure if these pink decal stripes were done at the factory, at a dealership, or later on in someone's back yard. The Storm GSi was the factory-hot-rod version, but this is an ordinary Storm with the 95-horsepower, 12-valve engine. Automatic transmission, of course. It never made it to 100,000 miles. The car seems to be in good shape, so perhaps something broke at about age 10 and it sat in a garage for the next 15 years. This content is hosted by a third party. Come see all the cool cars in Geneva that we don't get in America
Mon, Mar 12 2018The Geneva Motor Show is usually the highlight of auto show season. There are always a ton of interesting debuts. This year alone, we saw new models from McLaren, Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes-AMG and more. That doesn't count the ridiculous and tasteless stuff that comes out of Brabus or Mansory. Personally, one of the biggest reasons I enjoy going is to see all the cool stuff that we won't get in America. Watch the video for a brief walkaround of the show floor. Even the city streets offer unusual sights for Americans. Geneva is so close to France that there are Citroens, Peugeots and Renaults everywhere. Then there are cars like the Volkswagen Polo and Up! or a multitude of wagon variants of cars like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi A4 and A6. Even the exotics come out in droves. There was a Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer parked along a side street. There were two Lamborghini Aventadors parked outside our hotel. Just Geneva things. Junkyard Gem: 1980 Chevrolet LUV Mikado
Sat, Oct 9 2021During the 1970s and into the 1980s, each member of the Detroit Big Three imported Japanese small pickups and sold them with Ford (Mazda Proceed), Dodge/Plymouth (Mitsubishi Forte), or Chevrolet (Isuzu Faster) badges here. Ford developed the Ranger and killed the Courier for 1983 (though Americans could still buy the Mazda-badged version all the way through 1993), while The General axed the LUV after the S-10 debuted in the 1982 model year. Isuzu sold the same truck as the P'up through 1987, though, and we might as well follow up our recent P'up Junkyard Gem with its LUV predecessor. LUV stood for Light Utility Vehicle, and I've managed to spot a handful in the boneyards over the years. This one now resides in a yard in northeastern Colorado. The Mikado trim package included striped seat upholstery and a sporty steering wheel, plus these cool dash badges. As far as I can tell, no LUV Mikado advertising featured any Gilbert and Sullivan tunes. This one is fairly rusty for Front Range Colorado, and it has endured a bed swap from some other small truck. The engine is the 75-horse Isuzu 1.8-liter. Members of this engine family went into everything from Chevy Chevettes to Isuzu Troopers in the United States. Very unusually for a small pickup during the Malaise Era, this one has a luxurious automatic transmission. Acceleration must have been a leisurely affair in this truck. Air conditioning? Unheard of! Someone stuck every one of their lunchtime apple stickers on the driver's door. After 41 years of work, this truck is done. Come on strong in a LUV of your own!
