I purchased this vehicle (AT AUCTION) in the summer of 2010 with around 150,000 and have driven it in town for the last 3 years
I drive it everyday and trust it with a 7 year old and a 10 year old to get them where they need to be, the truck runs great
The Heat and AC turn on and run properly however the heat is blowing hot but the AC is not blowing cold, I will most likely address this issue prior to sale and pickup
The overdrive does not function but I have never needed it
I replaced valve cover gaskets as recently as January however valves still tick...Also recently put a new alternator in the truck(February)
The truck Needs an alignment
Three tires are BF Goodrich (30-50% life left) and one is a Michelin (60-70% life left)...The spare is BF Goodrich and around a couple inches of the inside tread is going bald
Small rust spots visible in photos on hood and headlight area and one single on driver side door. Spoke with several Body mechanics and am told problem is minimal cost and minimal damage (can be buffed and repainted)
THERE IS NO MAJOR RUST DAMAGE ON THIS TRUCK... IT HAS BEEN CHECKED THOROUGHLY
There is a scratch visible in photo on the driver side rear bumper. I bumped a brick wall, There is also a scuff on the passenger front bumper, and the passenger back bumper is bowed slighty but none of these issues affect the way the bumpers function and or look in regards to how they are supposed to hang...Not falling off not dangling...fully intact
The interior and exterior are in good condition considering the truck is a 1996. The Cargo area has a stain at the base where the doors are, I spilled a coffee. The rest of the carpet is in good condition. The truck has original mats. The cloth interior has NO rips or tears and is in fine condition. The hard interior around the cargo area is nicked and scratched to the extent that can be expected for this truck. There are some scratches on rear passenger door near gasket where the door closes as if someone tried to manipulate a coat hanger. Also less visible are several in the same area around driver side door and passenger front door. The scratches visible in the photo are the worst. Other than this and the small rust spots the paint is in good condition. No orange peel or peeling, fading rough spots to speak of.
The console is lose one of the sides want go in but it still opens and shuts
The cargo cover is missing..The volume Button for radio is missing..The cigarette lighter is missing, but the 12V functions
I replaced a head cover gasket when I bought the truck
Early on I replaced the radiator so it is less than 3 years old
I also replaced the water pump within the last two years
In the last 6 months new brake pads and rotors have been replaced on Both front and rear ends
The battery is less than a year old and a new alternator was put in in February...Never had any motor or transmission issue just maintenance
The oil and oil filter were changed and fluids were changed and checked two weeks ago(beginning of may)
The 4 X 4 works perfectly
This truck is 17 years old and I love it but I need a different vehicle now one that I can put on the interstate for work, so I am parting with it reluctantly
My best friend is a dealer and I use several of his mechanics and I will give it a once over before it is sold and picked up
This truck is being sold AS IS WITH NO Warranty expressed or implied.. I have described Everything I know about this truck....I can provide Clear title...500 dollar deposit through paypal within 48 hours of auction end. Remaining balance in the form of money order or cashiers check within 7 days of Auction Close

Junkyard Gem: 1992 Isuzu Amigo
Mon, Jan 16 2023After some success providing General Motors with small Faster pickups badged as Chevrolet LUVs in North America (plus some Chevette-related Geminis labeled "Buick/Opel by Isuzu," which confused everybody), Isuzu began selling vehicles under its own name here in the early 1980s. At first, we just got I-Mark subcompacts and P'up pickups. Then the Trooper SUV appeared in 1984, and Isuzu joined the suburban-commuter truck game in a big way. For the 1989 model year, the little Amigo three-door convertible SUV landed on our shores. Here's one of those early trucks, found in still-rad condition in a San Francisco Bay Area self-service yard recently. Once Isuzu made a version with five doors and a solid roof, giving it Rodeo badges in the process, the Amigo became more of an afterthought in the North American Isuzu world. Amigo sales halted here after 1995, then resumed for 1998-2000 (after which the three-door became the Rodeo Sport before disappearing in 2003). Starting in 1996, Isuzu replaced its Amigo-platform-related pickup with a rebadged Chevy S-10 known as the Hombre. That meant that Spanish-speaking Isuzu shoppers could be disturbed by the prospect of buying a friend or a man. The Isuzu company itself was named after a river in Mie Prefecture. The Suzuki Samurai kicked off the "cute-ute" craze for the 1986 model year, with the Suzuki Sidekick/Geo Tracker appearing in 1989. Around the same time, irritating pastel colors and squiggly graphics became trendy. This — and other unfortunate 1980s fashions — continued well into the 1990s (One man's "irritating" and "unfortunate" is another's "delightful" - Ed). This odometer can't be right! I suspect a broken speedometer cable. The engine is a 2.6-liter inline-four rated at 119 horsepower. Unlike Honda's VTEC, the variable-cam-timing system that made its debut in the 1989 Honda Integra, Isuzu's I-TEC name just stood for an electronic fuel injection system. The only transmission in the Amigo for the first couple of years was a five-speed manual, which is in this truck. That three-pedal setup kept the Amigo's appeal limited to the small group of American drivers willing to work a clutch. The optional automatic became available for 1992. You could get the Amigo with four-wheel drive, but this one is the cheaper rear-wheel-drive version. This interior looks so nice that perhaps this Amigo really did get junked with 57,000+ on the odometer.
Junkyard Gem: 1997 Acura SLX
Mon, Sep 25 2023By the second half of the 1990s, the tremendous sales success of the Ford Explorer (introduced as a 1991 model) and Jeep Grand Cherokee (introduced as a 1993 model) had made it clear clear that the future of the American road would be trucks. Any automotive manufacturer not selling a full line of SUV-ish machinery here would be irrelevant soon after the dawn of the new century, and the car-and-bike-centric American Honda Motor Company was therefore in big trouble. The Civic could be used as the basis for a small crossover SUV (which debuted here as the 1997 Honda CR-V), but Honda needed to buy time to design and produce the platform that would underpin the 2001 Acura MDX and 2003 Honda Pilot. That time was purchased via a deal to sell rebadged Isuzu trucks as Hondas and Acuras. Today's Junkyard Gem is one of those Honda-ized Isuzus, found in a Colorado boneyard. Honda began selling the Isuzu Rodeo as the Passport (recycling the name they'd used on the U.S.-market Super Cub motorcycle) for the 1994 model year, and Acura dealers started moving SLX-badged Isuzu Troopers in the 1997 model year. Just to make things interesting in the Isuzu-Honda world, North American Isuzu dealers sold Honda Odysseys with Isuzu Oasis badges at the same time. Isuzu had gone all-truck for the American market after the last Styluses (and closely related Geo Storms) were sold here as 1993 models. Sadly, Isuzu's final (non-commercial) new vehicles sold here were rebadged Chevy Trailblazers and Colorados, more than 30 years after Chevrolet began selling Isuzu Faster pickups here with LUV badges. Honda never did build any body-on-frame trucks, but that proved unnecessary in order to make some money during the CUV/SUV era. The SLX never sold particularly well, but it gave Acura dealers a luxury truck to park next to the Integras, TLs, RLs, CLs and NSXs in their showrooms. After 1999, the SLX was gone, leaving just the 2000 model year as a blank spot for Acura-badged SUVs. This truck held together like a real Honda product, getting fairly close to the 300,000-mile mark (I've found junkyard Accords with better than a half-million miles on their odometers, plus one apiece Civic and CR-V that got past 400,000 miles during their lives). The original owner's manuals were still in the glovebox when I found this truck. At the end, it appears that it was towed away for being parked illegally. Maybe the engine or transmission failed and its final owner just walked away.
Junkyard Gem: 1986 Isuzu I-Mark Hatchback
Wed, Mar 13 2019Thanks to the long global reach of The General's tentacles, Americans looking for economy cars at GM dealerships during the middle 1980s could buy Suzukis (the Chevrolet Sprint), Opels (the Chevrolet Chevette), Daewoos (the Pontiac LeMans), and Isuzus (the Chevrolet Spectrum). Just as Mitsubishi sold Mirages in the United States while Chrysler continued to sell the Mirage's Colt sibling, Isuzu moved in with the new front-wheel-drive I-Mark to compete with its Spectrum twin. These cars weren't big sellers and they didn't last very long on the road, but I managed to find this '86 in a Denver, Colorado, self-service wrecking yard. The I-Mark was known as the Gemini in its Japanese homeland and in Europe; the front-wheel-drive second-generation Gemini debuted in 1985. This one didn't make it to 150,000 miles, unlike most of its Honda, Toyota, and Nissan competitors, but it was pretty cheap when new. The hatchback listed at $7,149 in 1986, dismayingly more than the stripped-down '86 Civic 1.3 hatchback ($5,479) but closer to the similarly equipped Civic DX hatchback ($6,699). If you were really brave that year, you could have purchased a new Hyundai Excel for a mere $4,995. This is the base engine, a 1.5-liter four rated at 70 horsepower. Believe it or not, an I-Mark Turbo was available a year later, and it boasted 110 horses. My favorite thing about 1980s Isuzus is the way the HVAC controls are labeled. You can choose between "wind in your long, feathered hair" and "wind on your high-heeled disco boots" settings here. This car is in very nice shape for a dated econo-commuter from a long-departed brand, considering that it survived for a good 20 years while being worth approximately scrap value. For the very strong owners of decade-old Chevy Vegas, the Isuzu I-Mark seemed like a wise choice. Some of the first appearances of the soon-to-be-legendary Joe Isuzu were in I-Mark ads. Priced at only $9!
