2001 Isuzu Rodeo Ls 2wd Automatic ***low Miles*** on 2040-cars

I am pleased to offer this 2001 Isuzu Rodeo LS Automatic that has sustained light tail end damage. This vehicle was purchased directly from an insurance auction for resale in the condition you see it in the pictures. In the state of Texas and only in the state of Texas this car has a rebuilt/salvage title but I do have a clean Colorado title (no-liens) in hand and ready to transfer to the new owner. The rear door suffers a medium sized dent and the bumper will need to be replaced but there is no damage to the chassis, it is fully intact. The front of the car shows very light damage but the frame is straight and front cooling components (radiator, condenser, fans etc.) are OK, I did not notice any leaks. The rest of the body has obvious scratches and cracking as seen in the photos. Good news is that the car starts, engine runs great, goes into gear and I was able to drive it home 30 miles from the auction. No observed damage to the engine or transmission. Interior is very clean and as seen in the photos, all airbags are good! The Check Engine light has been on since I purchased the vehicle and the first thing I did was read the codes at the auction and a few codes came up that were all air-related. I then cleared those codes, drove it 30 miles home and re-read the codes. This time, the only code that came up was P0401 for a faulty EGR valve, which can cheaply and easily be replaced. The stereo turns on but for some reason there is no noise. I connected my iPod to the aux connection and at first I still couldn’t hear anything but after moving the stereo around and messing around with the settings, I could hear the music fine. Come see all the cool cars in Geneva that we don't get in America
Mon, Mar 12 2018The Geneva Motor Show is usually the highlight of auto show season. There are always a ton of interesting debuts. This year alone, we saw new models from McLaren, Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes-AMG and more. That doesn't count the ridiculous and tasteless stuff that comes out of Brabus or Mansory. Personally, one of the biggest reasons I enjoy going is to see all the cool stuff that we won't get in America. Watch the video for a brief walkaround of the show floor. Even the city streets offer unusual sights for Americans. Geneva is so close to France that there are Citroens, Peugeots and Renaults everywhere. Then there are cars like the Volkswagen Polo and Up! or a multitude of wagon variants of cars like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi A4 and A6. Even the exotics come out in droves. There was a Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer parked along a side street. There were two Lamborghini Aventadors parked outside our hotel. Just Geneva things. GM-Isuzu joint venture assembles 1.5-millionth Duramax diesel
Wed, 21 Nov 2012General Motors and Isuzu have officially stitched together 1.5 million Duramax 6.6-liter diesel engines. The joint venture between the two manufacturers started in 1998, and now the DMAX plant employs 517 workers in a 584,000 square-foot facility. GM introduced the Duramax turbo diesel engine to the US market for the 2001 model year, and it can be found trucks like the Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD as well as the full-size Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans. In its current configuration, the engine yields 397 horsepower and 765 pound-feet of torque at just 1,600 rpm.
Of course, the big oil burner has plenty of tuning potential as well. As you may recall, a Duramax-powered truck recently set the land speed record for towing a vehicle at 142 miles per hour.
GM owns 60 percent of the joint venture, with Isuzu laying claim to the remaining 40 percent. The facility is located in Chicago. You can take a look at the brief press release below for more information on the milestone.
Junkyard Gem: 2000 Honda Passport 4WD
Sun, Nov 20 2022The suits at American Honda Motor Company must have spent the bulk of the 1990s tearing out their hair in frustration as their rivals raked in big money from the sales of ever-more-profitable SUVs, even as American car shoppers lost interest in sedans and hatchbacks. Oh, sure, the Civic-based CR-V appeared here for the 1997 model year and sold well enough, but the lack of a larger SUV pained Honda more with each passing year. With the Acura MDX and Honda Pilot not ready for showrooms until the 2001 and 2002 model years, respectively, some stopgap had to be found. Isuzu stepped up and made a deal with Honda: the Rodeo would get Honda badges and become the Passport, while the Trooper would show up in Acura showrooms with SLX badges (for the 1994 and 1995 model years, respectively). Here's one of those Passports, found in a Denver-area self-service yard. Things got even weirder in the Isuzu/Honda world around the turn of the century, with the Honda Odyssey getting Isuzu badges and being sold as the Oasis. Fast-forward to 2009, and the only Isuzu-badged vehicles available new here were rebadged Chevrolets: the I-Series pickup (Chevy Colorado) and the Ascender (Chevy Trailblazer). The Passport name has some interesting American Honda history, stretching back to the first Honda vehicle sold here (and the biggest-selling motor vehicle in human history): the Super Cub. American Honda Motor Company couldn't use the Super Cub name on our shores, because Piper Aircraft had been selling a small plane called the Super Cub since 1949, so the motorcycle was called the Honda 50 over here. Eventually, this bike got a 70cc engine and became the Honda C70 Passport, sales of which continued through the middle 1980s. That means the Passports sitting in your local Honda dealership right now got their name from a one-cylinder motorcycle. General Motors has a Passport connection as well; when GM created the Geo brand to sell rebadged Isuzus, Suzukis, and Toyotas in the United States, it created a marque called Passport to sell the Daewoo LeMans as the Optima in Canada (all the other vehicles sold by Passport dealers were Isuzus). So, Honda's need to offer SUVs in its American dealerships led to an arrangement with GM-connected Isuzu to sell these trucks with a model name bearing links to both companies. So much history in the junkyard! Just as Geo-badged Toyota Corollas (mostly) got Delco radios, so did the Passport get Honda radios.
