Metallic Green 1974 International Scout Ii on 2040-cars
Cornelius, North Carolina, United States
Due to lack of time and space and a baby in near future, I must part with my favorite toy. Purchased from owner in Texas about 5 years ago and I had it shipped to NC. About 4 years ago spent almost $5k on body work and new paint job. Color is Synergy Green Metallic (color of the newer Camaro). Quite a unique color for this vintage auto. Turns heads left and right and I get compliments non stop. About 2 years ago the gas vent line malfunctioned causing gas overflow and paint damage to rear driver side panel. I added a black stripe to cover the damage until I had the time to have it repainted, which I have yet to do. Vent line has since been replaced. Runs good with the occasion stall, but then starts right back up. Just drove it about 25 miles and it did not stall. New Holley carb. Inside needs some visual/cosmetic work. Seats are in good shape, but are an ugly green color, so seat covers are on them. Gas gauge does not work, but truck has new gas tank, fuel lines/filter/pump and sending units. New external light wiring/harnesses. New battery and sparks. 33" tires on 15" black wheels. Dual chrome tip exhausts. Originally came with a beat up full vinyl top. I scrapped that and converted it to the Terra setup (top, bulkhead, windows). Top is light and easy to remove with two people. The next thing that would have been on the agenda was to add a spray in liner to the entire bed, then add a metallic dash with new gauges to really make it pop. Odometer says 46197miles, but only goes up to 99999, so I assume mileage is not actually that low since the car is 30+ years old. With purchase I will include the original nonTerra windows if you want them, black roll bar, back bench seat and seat belts, bikini top kit, and lots of little extras that I have yet to install. We have had so much fun with this truck. Never used it long distance, but have had so many fun local trips around town, out in the country and through the woods with the top off and second row seat put in. Thanks for looking. Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. |
