International Scout 800 Sportop on 2040-cars

 This is the rare factory sportop model with the easily removable fiberglass top. The body and chassis of this scout has been media blasted and painted. There is no rust or hidden surprises. The paint is a satin green. The 4cylinder 152 engine has been completely rebuilt and runs beautifully. The 4 speed transmission and transfer case works great. Both axles work good and 4-wheel drive us fully functional.  The bed and floors have been professionally coated in rhino liner. The chassis and under parts were sealed in a black chassis paint. New shocks, brake lines etc, all gauges work and all lights are functioning. Te front seats are re-upholstered and are nice. This car went through a substantial restoration effort and then has sat idle for several years due to lack of resources. 

Drives like a scout should. The drum brakes are a little soft, the steering feels a little sloppy, it is reminiscent of driving a tractor- but this is how they all are. There is no heater, and only one wiper motor- but it's not hooked up. It will need new window guides, rubber, and other seals. The rare side windows are in tact and there is some surface rust on the chrome. Tires are all good with almost new tread, but a couple of them are a little dry. I do have the rear seat but it will need to be re-upholstered. Both gas tanks have been cleaned and reinstalled but the passenger side tank needs a new filler tube. The gas selection valve and file gauge work good. I have lost the title but I am currently in the process of getting a new one, so the car will come with a clean title.
