Very Rare Traveler up for sale. These longer wheelbase Scouts (118") rarely come up for sale and there are currently a couple restored Travelers on ebay that are listed for $20k plus. The Traveler was the only produced between 1976 and 1980 and was the only International model to win the prestigious 4x4 of the year award. Not only are the very stable on the trail but the top comes off and makes one of the coolest convertible trucks around. International only produced ~31k models in 1979 but most of those we're the smaller Scout II's.

This is a very nice Traveler. I've had many in the past and they are difficult to find that are not totally rusted out. It has it's original 345 with a 4bbl carb. Automatic 727 tranny shifts firm and works great. Power brakes are in good condition. It starts up everytime without effort and runs great! Does not smoke and you can hardly hear it run because it's so quiet. The odometer shows 80k but think it's probably rolled over once. All mechanicals/guages work great. It has rare factory AC & factory cruise control. The original paint is the very cool and unique Tahitian red. The paint is definitely showing it's age but the body is in very good condition without any damage or evidence of ever being in a wreck. It only has two small areas of rust: the cowl area below the front windshield and a small spot on the bottom of the passenger door but not bad at all. Floors are solid, cargo area solid, fenders are solid and body mounts are all solid. Basically stock with nice 31" BFG AT's and nice white wagon wheels with beauty rings. The black interior is in great shape. The seats are very nice with no tears or rips front and back. Black door panels and a cool Scout tailgate will go with the sale. The Tailgate is a nice piece to bolt on when and if the top ever comes off. It has custom front and rear bumpers, winch, roll bar and fog lights. the super tuff and desirable Dana's work great with no issues when in 4 wheel drive. The Traveler is very road worthy and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Clear title, sold as is and being sold at no reserve and I won't be dissapointed if it doesnt sell because I wouldnt mind keeping it. Happy bidding.
