1978 International II 4X4, 345 V8, 727 Trans, Power Steering, Power
Brakes, Soft Top, Clear Texas Title
This was a father/son project that was going to be his first vehicle, that
took 3 years longer than expected, and a whole lot more work than
expected. I will try to list all the work that was performed or replaced.
The outer body was stripped down to bare metal, replaced both rear
quarter panels including the quarter panel top caps, floor from firewall
to the tailgate and passenger rocker. All sheet metal was sealed with
epoxy primer and top coated with the original color Concord Blue
acrylic enamel. Complete inside floor was sprayed with a bed liner.
New- body bushings and bolts, wiper blades, antenna, fuel hard lines,
door seals, inner / outer window felts and glass track felt refurbished,
new windshield, fuel tank sender, gas cap, outside mirrors. Rebuilt
brake booster/master cylinder and front calipers, battery less than 6
months old, fuel tank resealed with Por-15.
Engine 345-V8, new oil sender, belts, throttle cable, fuel pump,
alternator, radiator professionally flushed with new cap and a rebuilt
Edelbrock 650.
Drive train- rebuilt front calipers, new pads and shoes, stainless steel
braided front brake lines, rebuilt 727 transmission with zero miles on it,
traction-loc rear end.
The soft top is from Specialty Top which is new and was sitting in
storage when I purchased it so it has no rips or tears. All gauges, lights,
wipers and washer pump work as they should. Has a Pioneer AM/FM/
CD radio, also has a receiver hitch.
I personally have not driven the truck except for up and down my
driveway due to no Inspection Sticker. I will try to have this done before
end of auction.
I have the International Truck Service Manual 1978 thru 1980 Volume 1
and Volume 2 that are about 1-1/2" thick each, Original Owners Manual,
Original Scout Accessories Brochure and the Warranty Information Book.
Scout will need a spare tire, jack and lug wrench.
Deposit of $500 to be within 48 hours of end of auction, and must be
paid in full within 3 business days by cash or Paypal. Truck is being sold
as is with no warranty or guarantee. Seller reserves the right to end
auction early due to it’s for sale locally
