Up for no reserve auction is my 1976 Scout Traveler.

I have owned this truck for about three years and I have too many ongoing projects so some need to go.

The truck has a strong running 304 (no idea on mileage) and a 727 trans with about 30K miles on it (I got it out from a truck with a 345 that a guy was taking the motor out of for his Terra)

New driveshaft was made for it when the new trans was installed

It has Dana 44s front and back (no idea on gear ratio)

The 4WD works after spending a good amount of money on it. Transfer case is also in good condition

The wiring for the most part is clean and tidy.

The gauges all work from what I remember

Original radio works when it wants too

Heat works on low and hi

Wipers work but needs one arm replaced

Seats have black seat covers I will include with the sale

I have the full cap (painted black) and hatch that will go with the truck - the hatch also has the fiberglass rails. It's in good condition and the glass is perfect.

The frame has surface rust but its solid and looks like it was never hit

All exterior lights and markers work

E brake works

Truck needs new rag joint / brake line / shift linkage put back on trans. Brakes may need to be done since it's been sitting for a bit. The truck starts and runs but doesn't steer or stop. I'm not going to fix the issues since I have too many other projects and don't have for this plus I'm selling the truck at no reserve.

The body is junk (floors - rear floor - cab corners - quarters etc) so you have two options.

1) Just fix the couple broken parts on the truck and drive the heck out of it / off road it with strong mechanics and crappy body.

2) Swap in a better tub and reuse the doors - fenders - hood with less bodywork.

This has been a great truck for me and wherever I drove it people would want to check it out. With my current projects I have no more time for this so I'm letting it go at no reserve.

Please don't waste my time with ridiculous questions. The truck is being sold for no reserve it's not a 250K Lamborghini...
