For auction with no reserve is this very original condition running driving 1973 International Scout II. I consider this Scout to still be in some what of a project stage. Please read entire listing for more details. Vehicle looks good i get compliments all the time but be aware that paint is new but is not perfect. I planned on keeping this Scout until another old 4x4 vehicle has caught my interest. So i had it painted to be driven. Meaning its paint is shiny, good quality primer and two stage paint was used, just didn't go for a show quality paint job since i had planned on using this vehicle for off road fun. Scout was repainted back with its original Scout red color and white top. Before paint, it had a dent in drivers rear and 3 small rust spots that were cut out and replaced with steel before being painted. This Scout is from southern Colorado where we have a dry climate and cars are not prone to rust. This Scout is very solid and not a rust bucket. It does however have two front underside body mounts that are rusted. I tried to include some photos of these two areas. Wish i knew how to ad more than just 24 photos to my eBay listing. I took over 100 pics of vehicle so if you need more i would be glad to get some to you. Floors are solid. The interior of this Scout is stock. Carpet is in great shape considering age of vehicle. My intensions were to strip the whole interior and rhino line like most other people do. Plans have changed so interior is left alone for new owner to decide what to do. Glove box insert is missing. Heater works great but does need defrosters looked at. Wipers work. All gauges work! Even gas gauge. Speedometer is a bit off. Says 40mph feels more like 50mph. Never had it checked. Dash is cracked. Ignition switch needs replaced due to it will not fully engage to start position so previous owner added a start button. This never bothered me in the two years i have driven the Scout so i never fixed the ignition. Turns off at key like normal just have to turn key to on position then hit starter button and it starts right up like normal. Keys work in door locks but driver door lock is very stiff passenger side is even worse. Rear hatch lock works but doesn't actually lock the lift gate so all locks need attention but will work. Driver door glass has a crack in it. No big deal. Both door windows roll up and down fine. Had Air Conditioning at one time but someone has removed components. Some of the system though is still there. Courtesy lights inside do not work. Front seats match the rear seat i just put some cheap covers on them because red fabric is deteriorating. Other wise seats are structurally in good shape. Scout has headliner intact still in decent shape. Vehicle has factory 345 engine that runs very well. Faint exhaust leak but sounds and runs great. Starts every time with no knocking or lifter noise. Does not overheat. No smoke and does not use oil. Leaks a little oil but not very much. Has automatic transmission that shifts great. Do need to mention that sometimes when cold reverse seems a bit weak. But only sometimes. Reverse is strong otherwise and always works, just felt i should mention it. Changed transmission filter and oil and found no metal or any other material in bottom of pan. 4x4 works great. Hubs go in and out like they should and transfer case shifts smooth to all positions. 2 high-4 high-4 low. Brakes work great stops nice. Has 3.73 gears front and rear. Stock axles. All fluids have been replaced in vehicle. Replaced original 15 inch rims with the 16 inch rims that are on Scout now. They look exactly like the original rims but way better condition and felt 16 inch tires were an upgrade from the 15's. Tires are all decent condition. Will last a long time still. All lights on vehicle work as they should brake, tail, turn, and even license plate light works. Two of the side marker light do not work however. Not a big deal. Headlights work fine on high and low. This Scout is a great running vehicle sold as is as a on going project. Runs down the road like an old Scout. Drive while you restore or customize.
