This is a 1972 Scout II. This thing is a tank and will drive through anything. It is not stock. It has a recently built 392 ih engine out of a school bus. It has a 6" spring lift. The transmission is a torqueflite 727 4 wheel drive. The axles are dana 44s with very tight limited slip. I have driven this every day for the last 2 years. It NEVER gets stuck. It is a blast in the summer too. It has the removable top. If I knew how to do body work, I would never get rid of this truck. It has rust issues in a couple cab mounts and the quarter panels, but I have all the parts to fix this. It really is a tough, reliable truck. I have a whole pile of replacement parts for it including new quarter panels, end caps, cab mounts, weather-stripping, and other parts that it doesn't even need. This is all included in the sale. Also included is a brand new 2" body lift with all the extras to make it easy (rag joint and radiator drop). The tires are 33x12.5x15 with a fullsize spare. The interior is pretty basic. When I got it I removed the carpet. The previous owner istalled seats from a mini-van. Adjustable and comfortable. I really hate to get rid of it, but I have to upgrade to a newer pick-up for work. For someone who knows how to do bodywork, this could make a lot of money. These old scouts are very collectable and have a great following. Parts are easy to find on the net.
