Up for sale is an ultra rare 1964 Scout 80 4X4 Camper. Fewer than 100 were made, and only a few remain. This particular example is the only factory red version of the Camper model that I have seen. The majority of the remaining few I have seen were white. This vehicle has had all major components serviced in the last couple of years. Has not been driven much since restoration.

Always garaged. This Scout Camper has the 152 Four cylinder gasoline engine. Three speed transmission with Warn overdrive. Dana 18 transfer case and 4:27 geared axles with rear locker. New Michelin tires on stock Kelsey Hayes wheels. New leaf springs and bushings all around with rear overload springs added. All new mildew resistant tents and new mattress pads installed. All new canvas was reproduced faithfully using the original canvas as patterns.

Front seats have been reupholstered and are comfortable. Sleeping arrangements are via fold down side doors using removable tents to complete the campsite setup. The tents are removed and stored when not camping. Has portable potty arrangement installed, but not hooked up. Vehicle has sink arrangement with water holding tank. Needs faucet (ordinary single tap style) and the water tank installed to be functional (I have the tank). The fill port is visible on the counter top in one of the pictures. Vehicle needs little to be up to show/user level.

The Winter 2013 edition of the Cornbinder Connection magazine Vol. 1 N. 2 contains a very nice article detailing the restoration of this vehicle with lots of before and after pictures. This Scout Camper was the feature vehicle and graces the front cover.

I am sure the new owner of this vehicle will enjoy showing it off. It is certainly unique.
