2006 G35 Coupe with a Turbonetics, single turbo system. Most every option including the pop-up navigation, sun roof, memory seats...
History:
I bought this car and used it to travel for work, several trips between Michigan/California/Arizona. I had a Turbonetics system installed at a shop in Lake Forrest, CA when it had around 30K miles ($9,000). After the install I continued to use it as a daily driver and even did 2 cross country trips with it. Suffice it to say, the milage is mostly highway (put 50,000 miles on a set of Nitto's, thats how soft I drive it). The car has been extremely reliable, before and after the turbo install.
Mechanical condition:
The car has been sitting in my garage since 2010, undriven. It was running fine when I parked it, but I consider this a bit of a project since it will require some TLC to get it back on the road. I assume the fuel system will need to be cleaned out and there is a oil blow-by issue with the dip stick and possibly a hose. When the engine is under boost, it smokes. This sort of thing has happened maybe 2 or 3 times since the turbo install, but this is not one of the engines that has an oil consumption problem, it doesn't use a drop between changes. One of the issues is the oil level stick, it just needs a better one. The other issue was a loose hose under the car I had fixed 3 or 4 years ago. I would think this problem is one similar since I have never driven the car hard and rarely got into the boost for more than a few seconds. The other thing it probably needs is a computer re-flash. It was running fine, but it hasn't had a tune since 2008. The car has no rattles, shakes squeeks, drives and handles like new.
Physical condition:
I am the second owner (purchased in 2008 with <15K miles). I purchased brand new TSW 19" rims with Falken 35/19/245, 275 (front, rear). They have less than 300 miles on them ($2600). It also has a brand new Seibon hood, trunk lid, inner cooler front end, all in clear coat carbon fiber ($2800). The front clip has a scuff on the bottom that will be an easy repair if you choose and the new body work needs small fitment adjustments, I installed the new parts and then parked the car never getting back to it. The interior is very clean with very light wear, I almost never had passengers. The front windsheild needs replacement, got cracked somehow during storage. I personally believe that this car needs no more than $2500 - $3000 to be a perfectly sound daily driver that reliably puts down 350+ RWHP, just like before I put it away. The carbon fiber is top of the line and accents the car very well. No spoiler trunk lid and it just looks like it means business. The car is considerably faster than stock (+125 Wheel HP).
Why I am selling:
I simply do not have time for this. It has been in my garage for nearly 3 years and I will not have time to finish it in the forseeable future. I just want it out of my garage. I am not a mechanic and there isn't a shop that could support what I need done within' 300 miles. I have loved this car since the day I bought it and absolutely hate to get rid of it. I am an out of state traveling worker and really can't have the attachment of a project car at this point. I truely believe that this car would be a good buy up to $12K since the upgrades alone (Carbon Fiber, Rims/Tires, Turbo, Meth Injection) were a $14,000 investment. I am starting the bidding very low with no reserve because I want it sold and because it will require a modest investment to get it back on the road. The car is located in Eureka, CA but still has a Michigan title (I'm a dual resident). It will not pass CA smog and is being sold "As Is". The buyer is responsible for shipping/pick up. $500 deposit upon auction close with the remainder paid within 5 days please. Good luck.

2015 Infiniti Q70 stretches out in NYC
Thu, 17 Apr 2014Infiniti released its refreshed Q70 (the car formerly known as "M") in New York this morning. The luxury sedan is brings with it, quite literally, a big change: it's now the only vehicle in its segment to offer both long- and short-wheelbase options here in the US (other automakers do this in China). Currently, the two-wheelbase sedan strategy is exclusive to the ranks of fullsize players like the BMW 7 Series, Audi A8, etc.
Infiniti has elongated the standard Q70's wheelbase from 114.2 inches to 120.1 inches, in doing so lengthening the car 7.3 inches overall. For the sake of comparison, a standard wheelbase Audi A8 runs 117.8 inches, so the Q70 is no slouch. The extension mostly benefits rear-seat occupants, who are treated to an extra 5.6 inches of legroom. We think the enlargement improves the car's aesthetic, as well.
In addition to the long-wheelbase option, there are a few other tweaks in store for 2015. New head and taillights are the biggest changes, with full LEDs in the back and LED accents in front. Aspects currently seen on the smaller Q50 are evident, as well, such as the "double-arch" grille that comes with mesh-finish inserts. The fascia also includes a new front bumper with integrated foglights. Interior changes seem to be fairly minimal, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The outgoing Q70 had a spacious (if dated), luxurious cabin with all kinds of high-quality materials.
2022 Infiniti QX60 Review | Redesigned and relevant for the first time
Mon, Feb 7 2022Previously an afterthought in its segment, the completely redesigned 2022 Infiniti QX60 is a large luxury SUV now worth considering. It's far more stylish on the outside, and it's combined with a more luxurious interior with great standard technology and convenience features. It drives much better thanks to a new transmission and sharper suspension tuning. It all adds up to a real competitor. That doesn't mean it's a class-leader, but it's well matched to similarly priced options from Acura, Lincoln, Cadillac, Volvo, Jeep and Hyundai. In fact, with a base price of just over $47,000, it's cheaper than many of the luxury-branded alternatives, and very competitive with the high-end options of mainstream brands. Its one real weakness is a lack of powertrain options. Many vehicles in this segment have at least a couple engines to choose from, including hybrid options. Infiniti offers only a single V6 option. But the affordable price point, spacious and well-appointed interior, and good driving dynamics nevertheless make it a luxury SUV you should check out. Interior & Technology | Passenger & Cargo Space | Performance & Fuel Economy What it's like to drive | Pricing & Features | Crash Ratings & Safety Features What's new for 2022? The Infiniti QX60 is completely redesigned for 2022. You can read more about the changes in our first drive review. What are the QX60 interior and in-car technology like? Some of the biggest improvements to the QX60 are inside. The dash has a low and wide lower plane that feels modern and airy. The air vents are hidden in one wide opening in this zone, and various surfaces feature stitched upholstery. Base models feature gloss black trim, with upper trims getting aluminum or natural finish wood trim. The top Autograph trim, which is pictured in this review, combines that lovely wood trim with unique-looking quilted leather on top of the dash. All QX60s feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It runs basically the same infotainment suite that you find on Nissans, and that's a good thing. It features large, easy-to-find and easy-to-press icons. It all runs quickly and smoothly and is responsive to taps. We also appreciate that climate and audio controls have dedicated controls below the air vents. The volume and climate knobs are particularly appreciated, though the touch-sensitive buttons are less so.
Assessing Sebastian Vettel's first 100 days as Infiniti's director of performance
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Whenever a new US president is elected, we know to expect a performance review as soon as he (or she) has spent 100 days in office. Sebastian Vettel, arguably given a job that is more important to Infiniti than the US president, has been the brand's director of performance for one hundred revolutions of The Blue Marble, and Infiniti has put together a videographic glimpse of his work at Paul Ricard, in the US and England.
We probably won't really get a grip on the full results of his efforts for a while - we doubt that he's been in his post long enough to significantly alter the trajectory of the Q50 sedan, for instance. But then again, Infiniti insists he's been integral to the car's dynamics development regime, suggesting he's been working as a test driver for some time before these 100 days. Of course, Vettel is a race car driver and brand ambassador first and foremost, but when he tells a Q50 engineer that "For the future, I think it's more comfortable to have the shift paddles on the steering wheel," we get the sense that he won't hesitate to suggest changes in forthcoming products. Check out more of his inputs in the video below as well as a press release detailing his visit to the tech center in Cranfield, UK.
