I am selling my 2004 Infiniti G35 two door coupe that has a fully built motor with a Jim Wolfe Twin Turbo Kit. This car is in immaculate condition and has only been driven at an estimated 4,500 miles per year. For serious buyers, feel free to come look it over, drive it and you'll see that this car was well put together by professionals, without any expense spared. If you know you can't afford this car, don't waste my time nor yours by asking for a joyride. The motor has had all the internals gone through & beefed up to handle the boost that both turbos create. This car was tuned by B.R.E. Motorsports in Concord, NC using UpRev/Osiris and is tuned @17psi and making 500hp to the rear wheels. The guys at B.R.E. Motorsports are pros at what they do, building drift cars for Formula Drift race teams (go check 'em out at www dot bremotorsports dot com) I just drove this car all the way from North Carolina to Nashville, Tennessee and back. This G35 has been built to be a daily driver, but once you press the pedal to the floor, this thing turns into a powerhouse with 6 gauges to keep an eye on all the vital signs. There has been so many upgraded parts put on this car that I'll try my best to list them all, here we go: Engine: Jim Wolf Twin Turbo w/Twin Intercoolers & Twin Garrett GT28 Turbos Sleeved & O-Ringed Shortblock Massaged Cylinder Heads Jim Wolfe Cams Jim Wolfe Valve Springs Custom Cut Valves Arias Pistons Billet Rods Deutchwerks 850cc Injectors Deutchwerks DW300 Fuel Pump AEM Fuel Regulator AEM Fuel Rails Jim Wolfe High Boost Gasket & Seal Kit Oil Pan Spacer Kit (1 extra quart of oil) Transmission: Jim Wolfe Clutch & Lightened Flywheel Rear End: Nismo GT Limited Slip Differential Brakes: Brembo (Stock) Crossed Drilled & Slotted Rotors all the way around Suspension: Tein Coilovers Tein Electronic Dampening Force Control (EDFC) Upper Adjustable Control Arms Urethane Bushings Front & Rear Upper Strut Bars Front & Rear Lower Sway Bars Wheels & Tires: (BRAND NEW) Front: 20x9.5 Vossen wheels wrapped with Nexxen N7000 245/35/20 Rear: 20x10.5 Vossen wheels wrapped with Nexxen N7000 275/30/20 Exhaust: 3” Test Pipes (No Cats. Made to look like there are catalytic converters just for inspection purposes) Full 3" Exhaust from test pipes back. This care really sounds amazing during idle and full throttle. I'm sure there might be a thing here or there that I can't remember, but if I do, I'll be sure to update the listing. |

The Infiniti Q30 is dead! Long live the Infiniti QX30!
Wed, Dec 30 2015Remember that Infiniti Q30 hatchback we drove last month? It's not coming to the US. But it also is coming to the US. Let us explain. Because of our crossover-obsessed culture, it's easier for automakers to brand new offerings as CUVs rather than hatchbacks. Take one five-door, front-wheel-drive car, add a teensy bit of ground clearance and all-wheel drive, and boom, success! So because the Q30 and ever-so-slightly higher-riding QX30 are so darn similar, Infiniti made the decision to just sell them both under the QX30 name. This might seem stupid to most, but to Infiniti – and the crossover-buying masses – this is actually a pretty logical move. The QX30 arrives in mid-2016. On the base end there's the standard QX30, then there's the lower-riding QX30S, and finally, the higher-than-standard-riding QX30 AWD. They all come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. They're also practically identical to the Mercedes-Benz A-Class and GLA-Class, except for the swoopy sheetmetal. But even Mercedes sells its cars as two separate model lines. If you're not confused enough yet, feel free to read more in the press release below. While sharing basic exterior and interior designs, the QX30 line will be offered in three unique versions, each with its own front and rear fascia, wheel design and interior themes: QX30: The crossover's highly sculpted exterior, unique stance and asymmetric cabin design exemplify Infiniti's design-led approach to product development. This version is sold in Europe and other regions outside of the Americas under the Q30 name. In the Americas, this model will be front-wheel drive. QX30S: With a lower stance, aggressive front and rear fascia, cross-drilled front brake rotors, 19-inch wheels and performance tires, the QX30S is the sports version of Infiniti's new premium compact line. It was shown at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show and is sold in other markets as the Q30S. QX30 AWD: With an intelligent all-wheel drive system, slightly higher ride height and off-road inspired front and rear valence panels, the vehicle is able to take on urban, suburban and winding rural roads in all driving conditions.
Zombie cars: Discontinued vehicles that aren't dead yet
Thu, Jan 6 2022Car models come and go, but as revealed by monthly sales data, once a car is discontinued, it doesn't just disappear instantly. And in the case of some models, vanishing into obscurity can be a slow, tedious process. That's the case with the 12 cars we have here. All of them have been discontinued, but car companies keep racking up "new" sales with them. There are actually more discontinued cars that are still registering new sales than what we decided to include here. We kept this list to the oldest or otherwise most interesting vehicles still being sold as new, including a supercar. We'll run the list in alphabetical order, starting with *drumroll* ... BMW 6 Series: 55 total sales BMW quietly removed the 6 Series from the U.S. market during the 2019 model year. It had been available in three configurations, a hardtop coupe, a convertible and a sleek four-door coupe-like shape. Â BMW i8: 18 total sales We've always had a soft spot for the BMW i8, despite the fact that it never quite fit into a particular category. It was sporty, but nowhere near as fast as similarly-priced competitors. It looked very high-tech and boasted a unique carbon fiber chassis design and a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but wasn't really designed for maximum efficiency or maximum performance. Still, the in-betweener was very cool to look at and drive, and 18 buyers took one home over the course of 2021. Â Chevy Impala: 750 total sales The Impala represented classic American tastes at a time when American tastes were shifting away from soft-riding sedans with big interior room and trunk space and into higher-riding crossovers. A total of 750 sales were inked last year. Â Chrysler 200: 15 total sales The Chrysler 200 was actually a pretty nice sedan, with good looks and decent driving dynamics let down by a lack of roominess, particularly in the back seat. Of course, as we said regarding the Chevy Impala, the number of Americans in the market for sedans is rapidly winding down, and other automakers are following Chrysler's footsteps in canceling their slow-selling four-doors. Even if Chrysler never really found its footing in the ultra-competitive midsize sedan segment, apparently dealerships have a few leftover 2017 200s floating around. And for some reason, 15 buyers decided to sign the dotted line to take one of these aging sedans home last year.
Infiniti's variable compression engine in the 2019 QX50 is the first of its kind
Wed, Nov 29 2017The world's first variable compression ratio engine is here, in a production car. That car is the 2019 Infiniti QX50, debuting this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The midsize crossover has seen a refresh that has brought it an all-new platform together with new driver assist features, but it's the engine that's the centerpiece here. Nearly everything is continuously variable under the hood of the QX50 – not only the new shift-by-wire XTRONIC CVT. The new VC-Turbo gasoline engine is able to change its compression ratio from 8:1 to 14:1, or anything in between depending of the driving situation; whether there is need for top-end power or turbodiesel-like torque from low revs, or optimized fuel economy. The pistons' reach is continuously adjusted by an electric "Harmonic Drive" motor, which controls a multi-link system, affecting the top-dead-center of the pistons and changing the compression. The engine can also switch between efficiency-maximizing Atkinson cycle and regular combustion cycle, on the go – and there's both multipoint injection and gasoline direct injection employed. The result is 268 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 280 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm; good figures for a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with a single-scroll turbocharger. Infiniti says that the FWD version's fuel economy of 27 miles per gallon combined is 35-percent better than the previous-generation V6 engine; in AWD guise, it reaches 26 mpg, which is a 30-percent improvement. The new engine is pretty much all-aluminum, but the vaguely magical-sounding "transformative multi-link components" behind the variable compression system are made from high-carbon steel alloy. The engine's multi-link system also enables it to do away with any balancing shafts, and Infiniti compares its smoothness to a V6 rather than a regular four-cylinder. In addition to the aforementioned tech, the VC-Turbo engine has the world's first active engine mount vibration damping system to smoothen its operation even further. Related Video:
