2005 ININITY FX35 AWD - 127,965 MILES

PLATINUM SILVER WITH BLACK LEATHER INTERIOR

AUTOMATIC WITH SEQUENTIAL SHIFT SELECTION

HAS UPGRADED TIMKEN HUBS, H&R SPORT SPRINGS AND AFE INTAKE

This is by far one of the best cars I have ever owned. I can honestly say I have never had any mechanical problems since I have owned it. I have owned it since 2008 and was a vehicle for my wife to use. This is a very quick car wit lots of power with the 3.5L V6 (300HP). It is also AWD so there is no hesitation when accelerating. It also does good on snow and has a SNOW button that limits your speed and torque and works well when creeping through a snow storm.

Its loaded with power everything and has the BOSE stereo with cassette and 6 disk changer. I installed H&R Sport Springs (1.2 inch), which actually gave it a softer ride, but better handling. The stock springs were really stiff ride. I also installed a Advanced Flow Engineering (AFE) cold air intake with K&N Filter. It gets good gas mileage for a 6 cylinder and have no complaints of it being a gas hog.

The paint is great and looks real good in the light, but there are about 3 tiny door dings which could easily be bumped out by paint less dent removal, but we don't have that around here.

It has a small dent on the front bumper (seen in pic) and a small scuff on the side of the rear bumper (seen in pic)

The driver side seat bolster is starting to rip as seen in pic. The rest of the interior and seats are perfect with no wear or cracks and shows like new.

The dash is the bad part. It was a recall for the dash because the manufacture of the adhesive used made a crappy product that broke down after a few years. I live about 180 miles from the closest Infinity dealer so when I finally found time to hang out at a dealer all day, I called to make an appointment and they said I was a week too late......whatever.

Anyway you can replace the dash for a few hundred or get Infinity to do it and I'm sure they would give you a break on the cost due to the whole recall thing....or get a dash cover for $85 online to cover it....problem solved. (The dash is why I am asking low)

Other than the ugly dash and rips in the seat bolster, its a great looking, great running car and has been a great car. Tires are about 80% front, 60% on the rear and they are 18 inch wheels with the sensors inside. Cooper Discovery tires. Moving and its got to go so good luck. Awesome car for the money!! Grocery getting sports car!

Autoblog's Matt Davis named Infiniti global product and brand communications director

Tue, 03 Jun 2014

The door that separates automotive journalism and automaker PR swings both ways, and swings often as we see journalists move over to PR and vice versa. This time, however, it's one of ours.
That would be Matt Davis, longtime European correspondent for Autoblog and frequent contributor to numerous other publications including AutoWeek, Edmunds and Esquire. He was co-founder and longtime chairman of the World Car of the Year Awards, and serves on the jury for the International Engine of the Year awards as well. Matt has resided in Milan since 2001, writing for publications around the world in a number of languages, but will now be moving to Hong Kong.
That's where he will be taking up his new position as Global Director of Production and Brand Communications for Infiniti, which relocated its global headquarters to Hong Kong from Japan more than two years ago. In his new capacity, which he officially assumes on July 14, Davis will report directly to Infiniti's general manager of communications Stefan Weinmann.

10 automakers sued over keyless ignitions

Thu, Aug 27 2015

Keyless ignition has rapidly proliferated throughout the auto industry to become a fairly normal feature on new cars. It's supposed to offer the convenience of keeping the fob in your pocket and just pressing a button to drive away. However, ten major automakers are now being sued in US District Court over claims that the system is dangerous, Reuters reports. The suit alleges that people are forgetting to shut off the engine, and the lack of an idle timer is the cause for 13 deaths by carbon monoxide poisoning and multiple injuries. The suit currently includes 28 plaintiffs, according to Reuters, but the lawyers are asking for class-action status to potentially add many more. The case goes after a major swath of the industry, including BMW, Daimler, FCA, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota, and Volkswagen, plus their related brands like Acura, Infiniti, Mini, and Lexus. In all, over five million vehicles are affected. The assertion here is that people walk away from their vehicle without shutting it off because they believe the engine shuts off automatically. If parked in a garage, carbon monoxide can build up, leading to poisoning. The lawyers claim automakers know this is a problem and also cite 27 complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about the issue, according to Reuters. The plaintiffs are asking for an automatic shut-off and damages from the companies. These concerns have come up before, though. Toyota previously faced a lawsuit over a carbon monoxide death after a woman accidentally left her Lexus running. Also earlier this year, GM recalled 64,186 examples of the 2011-2013 Chevrolet Volt because owners weren't shutting them off. The problem resulted in two injuries, and the company released a software update to limit the idling time.

Infiniti Synaptiq concept 'spinal lock attachment' makes you one with your car

Fri, 14 Nov 2014

The theme of this year's LA Design Challenge is "Sensing the future" and asks, "How will cars interact with us in 2029?" Infiniti has kicked off entries in the LA Auto Show's yearly visionary party with its low, wide and versatile Synaptiq concept. Less a car and more of a set of interlocking pieces, the Synaptiq is termed a "universal fuselage pod," a teardrop-shaped capsule with a liquid-crystal canopy that can be fitted to different propulsion devices: a Formula One-like chassis, a desert buggy rig and a jet airframe.
Yet it answers the challenge not by being able to fly through deserts and air, but with its human-machine interface. The driver/pilot wears a Synaptic S.U.I.T. (Symbiotic User Interface Technology) fitted with biometric sensors and synthetic muscles, and through a "spinal lock attachment," he or she is made one with the car.
You gaze upon its gewgaws in the gallery above, and read more about it and other concepts from Acura, CALTY, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Peterbilt, Qoros, Subaru and Volkswagen that will vie for the King of the Future title at next week's LA Auto Show.
