2003 Infiniti Fx35 Base Sport Utility 4-door 3.5l on 2040-cars
San Diego, California, United States
This is a very-well loved and cared for car. I bought it with 40,000 miles and have driven it up to the current 160,000 on the odometer. I love this car and don't want to sell it, but I recently had another baby and I am moving up to the really big Infiniti (QX56) to haul the family. Otherwise this car would stay in my garage.
There are no engine problems whatsoever and I have been very good about scheduled maintenance. There are, however, two wear and tear issues that any potential buyer should know about: First, the front seats (driver and passenger) have cracks in the leather. A potential buyer might consider having the seat reupholstered (I got a quote for $350 so it isn't terribly expensive). Second, the passenger-side rear door handle broke. I have not fixed it because with my kids, I consider it "child proofing." I could have the handle fixed and I don't expect it would be too expensive, but I just have not bothered yet. Other than that, this car is perfect and fully loaded. I have a gift certificate for a $100 car wash/wax/detailing that is going toward the car. Either I can give the buyer the certificate to make the car look great when you drive it home, or I could have the car detailed on the day you come get it so it looks perfect. And it will look perfect--I still do double takes when this car is freshly waxed it looks so good. No modifications or after-market products have been installed. All upgrades were factory-installed including the DVD player, navigation system, back-up camera, 20-Inch wheels, adaptive cruise control, heated seats, AWD, etc. I don't think there are any factory upgrades that did NOT go into this car. The original buyer checked every possible box. This is a good deal on a great car. For almost no money, you can have a beautiful car you can be proud of with all the bells and whistles. Don't miss out. |

Autoblog sell-it-yourself highlight: 2013 Infiniti QX56
Thu, Apr 20 2017As Lincoln announces an all-new Navigator at this year's New York auto show, and General Motors' Arlington (Texas) plant runs 24/7 cranking out Tahoes, Yukons, and Escalades, Infiniti's big QX56/80 continues to gain fans in a great many upmarket zip codes. And its appeal – for those with an appreciation for Big Foot footprints – is obvious. Built atop Nissan's Patrol platform, the QX56 offers high levels of refinement with cubic yards of utility. Introduced by Nissan's Infiniti division in 2011, you would assume any inaugural bugs had been worked out by 2013, the QX's third model year. Power was supplied, in the press vernacular, by Nissan's proven 5.6-liter V8 producing 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. A seven-speed automatic transmission was standard on all models, and while the additional speeds might suggest some semblance of efficiency, no one should confuse this big QX with a Toyota Prius. Our 'for sale' example, with 84,000 miles, represents above-average mileage for a 4-year old vehicle. But if those are largely highway miles in and around Madison, Mississippi, and service records are available, you shouldn't be too concerned. This is, with proper maintenance, a 200,000-mile platform, leaving you about 116,000 miles for your $37,000. And the 'ask' seems about $5,000 too dear; perhaps the seller will throw in a gas card. Infiniti-Red Bull Racing will seek a fourth title with the RB9 [w/video]
Tue, 05 Feb 2013This is the car and the team that everyone wants to dethrone. The stability of this year's regulations means that the Infiniti Red Bull RB9 is a seriously honed RB8; however, that's a situation probably no other team would complain about seeing that the RB8 recovered from early stumbles and reliability issues last year to carry Sebastian Vettel to a third consecutive driver's title and the team to a third consecutive constructor's trophy.
The most noteworthy revisions to the car are the partial vanity panel that omits the driver cooling slot, the even narrower rear end - a feature of just about every car launched so far - and purple sidepods to showcase new title sponsor Infiniti. Adrian Newey, perhaps the most feared designer on the pit lane, said the nose and front wing could be changed relatively easily throughout the season, but he wanted to make sure to get the middle of the car - everything from the sidepods, back - as good as possible since they're more difficult to re-engineer. His track record leads us to believe he did just that.
Below are two videos, one of the making of the RB9, the other the launch at team headquarters in Milton Keynes.
