Eastpointe, Michigan, United States
Hello! Up for auction is this beautiful 08 Black Hyundai Tiburon GT. 24mpg automatic FWD Bucket leather seats moon roof Has a rebuilt title from an accident back in 2008 and has gone almost 50,000 miles with absolutely zero issues. NO FRAME DAMAGE. Everything is still factory original, all the damage was cosmetic. Car drives great. Car is my daily driver, so miles might creep up a bit from the start of this auction. I get the car full synthetic oil changes and inspections every 5000 miles. I have records of these. Recently replaced battery, plugs, got some used tires, cabin air filter, alignments, rotations, oil change, inspection. Car has limo tint all the way around. Has a sony radio receiver for usb and aux input. Did nothing else aftermarket to the vehicle. Does have a couple issues. Needs ball joints .Driver side window doesnt work sometimes. Had it looked at and it needs new wiring. Shorted the wire from rain water dripping into the switch. Its not the whole switch as the passanger side still works. Right exhaust tip is dented a bit. Just the opening tip part, not the pipes.Car has some small scratches and dings throughout the exterior from 6 years of regular use. Nothing extreme.Wheels have some road rash on them. Might need new tires soon. Cars book value is 11,000. Rebuilt title lowers by 20% without frame damage. This beautiful car should have no problem hitting 8000 at least! Happy bidding! Let me know if you have any other questions! |

An inside look at Rhys Millen's new Pikes Peak Unlimited racer [w/video]
Sat, 15 Jun 2013Wider, Lower And Decidedly More Sinister
Rhys Millen was sitting on a cooler whittling away at a piece of aluminum when I first arrived at the expansive skidpad at the California Proving Grounds, owned by Hyundai, located in a desolate part of the California desert about a dozen miles east of Mojave. By the time I had walked over to the accomplished driver for introductions, he had picked up a piece of sandpaper and begun to arduously file away at the alloy's rough edges, smoothing them masterfully.
He was focused on the job, but I politely interrupted him and asked what he was making. Ryhs looked up, smiled, and then grabbed a few zip-ties and asked me to come over to the new Hyundai RMR PM580-T, destined for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in just two short weeks, raised on its air jacks just a few yards away.
Hyundai to build test facility at N"urburgring
Sun, 20 Jan 2013It looks as if Hyundai is set to build a test facility at the famous Nürburgring. Carscoop reports the Korean automaker has commenced construction on a 10,000-square-foot test center with access to the lengthy German track. Hyundai says the $7.3 million facility will help the company focus on improving the ride and handling of its vehicles through extensive research and development.
Sounds like a plan to us. While we've seen Hyundai vehicles improve on many fronts over the past few years, the company continues to struggle with suspension refinement compared to its Japanese, German and domestic rivals.
Automakers routinely flock to the Nürburgring for testing and development thanks to the track's unusual attributes. With a variety of surfaces, banking, turns, elevation and even weather, the circuit offers engineers the ability to put a vehicle through its paces in a wider range of conditions than most facilities.
Hyundai US marketing chief steps down
Sun, 16 Nov 2014For the past four and a half years, Hyundai's marketing efforts in America have been steered by Steve Shannon. But now the Korean automaker is going to have to find a new marketing guru, because Shannon has reportedly stepped down with apparently immediate effect.
A career automobile marketer, Shannon came to Hyundai early in 2011 after over a quarter century at General Motors, effectively switching places with Joel Ewanick and Chris Perry, who moved from Hyundai to GM the previous year.
During his 25 years in Detroit, Automotive News points out, Shannon worked with such brands as Buick, Oldsmobile, Saab and Hummer. He was particularly instrumental in launching the Saturn brand and served as executive director of marketing for Cadillac prior to moving to Hyundai.
