2002 Hyundai Sonata Base Sedan 4-door 2.4l on 2040-cars
Seaford, New York, United States
Ok, first and foremost the car drives and is in working condition!! I drove the car the last year from Long Island to Queens on a nearly every day basis. I am not a mechanic and honestly know nothing about cars. The car at times has trouble going over 60 miles an hour but at times drives over 80 with no problem. There are definitely defects in the vehicle because sometimes the car shakes when idle. I don't know what they are but the car does need a lot of work, but like I said, the car works and drives!!!
The exterior of the vehicle also needs some work. There are visible scratches (especially on the hood) but NO DENTS on the exterior of the vehicle. The interior of the vehicle also isn't in the best of shapes. The cup holder is broken and the car does need floor mats. POSTIIVES: The car turns on and drives, The cars AC blows COLD air so that is a plus as well, Radio with tape deck work GREAT!! I would suggest using this car to drive locally or use as a train car. If you are mechanic I am sure you can make some money by fixing it and re-selling but like I said the car does need a lot of work but I have no idea what it needs. Again, the CAR DOES DRIVE, STARTS RIGHT UP but does need A LOT of work. I am selling the car AS IS, NO RETURNS. The car and title (clear) are located in Jamaica (Queens) NY and will arrange pick up there. Any questions, please send a message. |

Porsche, Hyundai and GM impress in J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, Fiat and Jeep don't
Wed, 18 Jun 2014Consumers continue to struggle with the advanced user interfaces and technologies being fitted to new cars, according to the latest J.D. Power Initial Quality Study. Overall, the industry average for problems per 100 vehicles climbed three percent, to 116 issues reported in the first 90 days of ownership.
Vehicles from the General Motors' family were dominant, with Buick, Chevrolet and GMC capturing more individual IQS segment awards than any other manufacturer. Despite its well-publicized issues, six GM vehicles (Buick Encore, Chevrolet Malibu, Chevy Silverado HD, Chevy Suburban, GMC Terrain and GMC Yukon) were given IQS awards for their respective segments.
Hyundai was ranked the best overall mass-market brand, with just 94 issues in every 100 vehicles reported in the first 90 days. Parent Hyundai Motor Company, meanwhile, trailed GM with five vehicles winning their segments, including the Hyundai Accent, Elantra and Genesis, as well as the Kia Cadenza and Sportage.
Hyundai beefs up HB20 R-Spec in Brazil
Fri, 31 Oct 2014If you've been following the news from the Sao Paulo Motor Show, you'll likely have seen not only a series of new concept cars, but also a whole mess of production vehicles you never knew existed because they were developed specifically for the Latin American market. One of them is the Hyundai HB20.
Hyundai Brasil makes the HB20 in Sao Paulo for local consumption in three forms: there's the HB20 hatchback, HB20S sedan and HB20X crossover. It's the former which it has transformed into the R-Spec concept you see here.
Decked out in matte blue, the HB20 R-Spec concept packs an aggressively upgraded aero kit, extra cooling ducts, 17-inch alloys, LED headlights and an interior with leather trim and striped seats. Even if we don't know what's under the hood, it all looks pretty convincing, and makes us wish Hyundai would offer it Stateside as part of the Accent family with which it shares its underpinnings.
